Songs to Remember: Don't Be Shy - Primary

Alright, well I have some good news and some bad news. And some bad news. The good news-...yeah. The bad news- I don't know what the good news is. And more bad news- I've resorted to reading up summaries on Sparknotes.

But hey, I'm actually taking notes and whatnot. In books I read, if it's interesting to me, I'll read it fully. If it's kinda boring, like the Joy Luck Club, then I just want the bare-bone plot. Not paragraphs upon paragraphs describing the texture of a closet, I just want stuff regarding the characters. I don't want to waste time here. August is literally a day away, and I still got time, but this f***ing book, man.

And I forgot to mention yesterday, that guy on deviantart replied to me after I sent him the message asking about Honors English. Apparently he was from the class of 2014, informed that a couple Honors English teachers retired this year, which is for the most part good as he had hated one of their classes. His advice was to "regurgitate what the teacher says (but in a prettier way and with some of your own reflections)" and I'd be good. Then he asked if I was in Gamma club and to let him, because he has "quite the rep" their. Not sure if it's an Honors English orrr just a club at school. But uh, yeah.

In other news, a lot of crazy-a*** dreams so far. Last night's was one of- if not, THE craziest dreams I ever had. I saw these dudes who were up to no good, snooping around this house, I had on a plague doctor mask and spectre armor from Terraria. They didn't notice I was their until my armor activated and started the heal beams to me. I got caught, it was all a blur, I somehow ended up picking out a Ratchet and Clank video game case from my cousin's collection, only to find out it's from 2006 on the Original X-Box, even thought it was in a PS4 Ratchet and Clank case.

The next dream was about my dad and I, and some more of my family (my dad's side of the family for this) were at a movie theater. They were showing a couple movies, one called "7 Dead Fingers" or something like that, and the other was "Python". "7 Dead Fingers" was a horror movie, the poster resembling the Saw 2 movie poster. "Python" was about a giant snake, and somehow involving Rayquaza the Pokemon. We decided to go see "1 Born 3", this action movie. I asked this female usher if I could get some more popcorn (the whole place was lit, the movie hadn't started yet) and she said to wait just a moment.

Then the movje started, it was about like, these cyborgs trying to destroy these elderly women (who also happened to be somewhat cyborgs). I realize that female usher is in the movie, and I was like "Damn, I wish I got her autograph" as she was in our theater, as a Terminator robot, trying to destroy these elderly women who were trying to light the place on fire. There were also parts of another dream with like, Halloween s*** in it. All I can remember from that was being held close to death by somebody else wearing an animal mask like the ones in "You're Next". If it weren't for those darn Sinister 2 ad trailers on those YouTube videos I were watching last night, this wouldn't have happened, heh.

Anyways, got some tutoring to do tomorrow, tomorrow's the last day of July, gotta finish up this s****y book fast, get started on the bootleg AP Biology responses, and prepare for a whole 'nother series. Next, next week though. Oh and I got Windows 10 today. Took around 2 hours last night, 1 and a half for it to check for updates twice, and 30 minutes for it to actually install. Pretty much the f***ing same, though almost had me in a panic as my iTunes was not working today, had to reinstall it multiple times, along with Microsoft Visuals and s***.

So yeah, I'll see you tomorrow.

Week: 50
Songs to Remember: Shouldn't Have - Baek A Young

It's kinda weird when you find one of your friend's Tumblr, which so happens to contain a lot of Yaoi, Hentai, etc. Not that I have anything against that, it's just like, "Oh".

If you were wondering it, it's my buddy Em's Tumblr. I'm not saying what she likes or what she's doing is weird. What she's doing is sharing a common interest with a community of hers. Like, Tumblr communities. And come on, many people have this same interest, it's just that they don't share it to the world. I wouldn't want to do this in fear of having people I know find out about it and would ruin the image of what I think people of think of me. My feelings toward Em don't change from this, I'll still treat her the same. I kinda assumed she was into this stuff already from our chats so. Mmm.

Anyways, reading this book is probably gonna take a couple more days, or just 1 day if I dedicate an entire day burying my head inside this Joy Luck Club book. The audio-book I found for the book was 2 hours long, but that was only for the FIRST part. The book has a total of 4 parts. And there's nowhere else I could find a free audio-book for it besides torrents sooo. Hey, if it weren't for my integrity to actually read through the book instead of just looking up summaries on Sparknotes, I wouldn't need to torrent this s***.

I'm half-way (well, almost halfway. Around 3/7 of the way) through the book. I should keep count of how many times I yawn during my reading sessions. So uh, it's been pretty good regardless (for now at least). I didn't play Terraria at all today, nor League. Or any games for that matter. Ummm, my late nights (last night) are occupied by watching a movie, Running Man, YouTube videos, or doing one of the above whilst chatting with Ln on Facebook. On my phone of course.

I managed to actually keep going with the flow of the convo. All the way 'till 2:00 AM, where Ln said she's going to sleep. And it wasn't just f***ing K-Pop, she interjects with stuff like "Omg I plucked my eyebrows and one of them's uneven". That sorta stuff, which brang our topic from infinite's 360 K-Pop MV on YouTube to her eyebrows to K-Drama books (fun fact, there aren't any).

Am I having weird dreams, yes I'm having weird dreams. Maybe not every night, but maybe every other night. I guess it's that time of year again, the "back-to-school" feeling, and the memories of those back-to-school commercials on TV.

It took my a while, but if it weren't for this blog thing, I wouldn't have known that school starts roughly 52 weeks after the last one. Like, school's gonna be on week 52. I'm on week 50. Could either be a coincidence and I put in the starting date wrong or something, but uh, it seems cool anyways. So I'll see you tomorrow, hopefully some more bootleg s*** to update with.

Tuesday, July 28, 2015 "Tired On the Inside & Outside."

Tuesday, July 28, 2015
Week: 50
Songs to Remember: Voodoo Doll - VIXX

I may look tired on the outside, but on the inside, I'm also tired. And lazy. That was just one of the feelings after watching Disney and Pixar's "Inside Out".

People said that Inside Out is the best movie Pixar's made. I guess because it's new? Maybes it's relate-able? Like the situations in the movie could make you think "Oh hey, that's a fun way to look at it". In my opinion it's not the best Pixar movie. And just like Pan said in the Pizza Party Podcast on YouTube, it did feel kinda short now that I think abut it. Spoilers in the next couple paragraphs.

It started out fine, it introduces to us the characters, all that. Then they start messing around with the Sadness character. Holy, f***ing, s***, she pissed me off so much. The whole problem was her. She started touching s***, got her and Joy stuck in limbo, and is seriously trying to deliberately mess this little girl's mind. Like, why does she have to touch everything? She said something like "There's something wrong with me" yet, I don't think it was ever explained. She just kept touching s***.

Not sure how s*** happens in Riley's head, like how those pieces of land collapse. Is that how people become psychos? All their emotions like, kill each other? Anyways, the plot felt sorta, meh, it was more of an adventure and focusing on Joy and Sadness, rather than any of the other emotions. Like, Disgust barely had any lines, Fear was just for comic relief, and Anger was just filler while Joy and Sadness were having their own s*** to deal with.

So my overall opinion, it was okay, not something I'd want to watch twice a week. Definitely not the best, more ehhhh really. I give it a 7/10, would've been higher if it weren't for the characters. If they were a bit more developed, focused a bit more on each, then it might just be the best. Might.

So there's that. Oh and progress was actually made today. I got through 1/8th of the book, that, Joy Luck Club, book. Not gonna lie, I had to take drastic measures to make sure I didn't fall asleep while reading it. Well okay I did fall asleep, but it was after I finished reading for today, and probably because I'm sleep deprived even though I get about 8 hours.

I looked up an audio book for it, took a rubber band and wrapped it around every two pages so I wouldn't have to put much effort to hold the book open, as I lie on my room mat. Hey, whatever it takes to get through reading it. I could just be an ass and read a descriptive summary for each part of the book, but I like to keep my integrity, so, I'll at least look through every page of the book as it's read to me.

As for updates in general, the site's finally working. You know, the one used to register "online". We still have to bring in slips of paper for signatures and lockers and all that, it's more of a, " print it at home" kind of registration now. You basically just check and update information already in the school's database, then confirm to some documents, print 'em out, sign, turn in on registration day, which happens to be on August 7th.

Took 'em around 3 or 4 days or so to get their site running correctly. Not sure why they couldn't host it earlier, like when the mail was still being sent to us, or any other time. I gotta say though, this site works way better than school loop, it shows us our records and grades and all that and how much credits we have for our classes so far. Whereas the previous years, you gotta schedule an appointment to talk to your counselor to see this stuff, or ask and wait to receive a transcript.

So uh, yeah, that's pretty it right now. Oh and uh, one of the Drew's, the uh, one who's having family problems, is moving. So, guess I won't see him again. Not sure where, but, probably not going to this school anymore, we don't really talk except at school so. It was fun at the movies though. Ummm, this is probably going to be my last free week before work's gonna f*** me over. I'll see you tomorrow.

Week: 50
Songs to Remember: Hot n Cold - Katy Perry

I mistakenly thought yesterday was the start of week 50, also thought it was Monday sorta. That's what I get for doing posts really late at night (or past 12).

So I think about the future a lot. Like, what's to come. I thought about, this upcoming school year (not just for the new series), how people are taking summer classes right now while I'm sitting in front of my PC, applying for colleges, my cousin's High School graduation next year, AP classes, and the SAT. I was like "F***. I'ma have to take the SAT soon".

This has got to be, one of the worst, and one of the best, series/school year, for me. Not sure how college is gonna fare for me, but, hopefully better than Junior year. I know that by Senior year, I'm already gonna be applied to a college (hopefully) so I don't have to worry as much, just relax, and let the good times roll. Before college that is.

In other news, Em contacted me today (well, Facebook messaged me) about what we talked about last time. We then sorta got into an impromptu interview about me and what I think of my crush (or, if I were to have one, whatever). It was for her story okay? She writes, uhhh, fan-fictions on certain anime. She gets a fair amount of reads on 'em, really.

When she told me it was for a story about an all boys school, where a dude likes this other guy, but the guy turns out to be a girl. She asked stuff like "What makes you attracted to someone, are you jealous, do you get jealous easily, what I'd do if I was in that situation, etc". Basically she wants a guy's point of view on all this.

I guess my answer choices were spot on because she's like, and I quote, "Are you single? Like wtf you are every girls dream guy XD lol wow, that's so sweet!! Awwww, okay continuing, if there is another guy into the person you like, what do you do to get your crushes attention?" or "You are a friendly approachable person!! c: like Jfc this world needs more people like you! I'm not even joking." Everyone needs a cool person in their life like Em. Fun fact, I still don't know what JFC means. John F. Cennedy? (slash sarcasm. But really, what does JFC mean?).

Skyped with my cousin, did not play Terraria today or League surprisingly, I wanted to read that book today, "The Joy Luck CLub". *sigh*, but looking at how many pages, the plot, I was like "Ummm, I'll get started on the poster first, then I'll read in the meantime". And uh, I got a good chunk of the poster done, by that, I mean around 30%. Still need the quotes and pictures, but I'm sure those will be easy to do. I'm just worried about the whole design/concept of my poster, after seeing someone else's online.

It was posted on deviantart, by a guy who I presume to have attended Honors English at my school. Because the assignment and poster were the exact same expectations. He's also presumably (presumably a guy) 19, so, fairly recent graduated from my school. His poster was hand-drawn, a lot of white space, not the best I've seen, but, there's clearly effort. I just wanted to do something involving digital so I can put on the poster. So, I decided to create a template with patterns, print it out, cut it out, glue it on the poster, make border lines with black construction paper (as it's the only color I have), then go off from there.

And uh yeah. Gotta say, one of my most productive days this summer so far. I'll leave a picture of the poster in progress below. See you tomorrow.

The gold trim accidentally worked great to represent riches. The scroll making and printing took about 50% of the time, the other 50% was spent cutting and measuring/trial and error the black construction paper.

Songs to Remember: Come and Get It (Razihel Remix) - Krewella

Holy s***, it's week 50. So, are you ready for a read of "The Joy F*** Club" because I sure am. *sigh* I figured it's be the time for me to start reading it.

Oh and the Battlebots finale was today. Oh man, I was on the edge of my seat. Pretty intense battles. Spoilers in the next few paragraphs.

Okay, so the first match was Biteforce vs. Ghostraptor. Now I was rooting for Biteforce this match, in general I wanted Biteforce to win the whole thing. In the beginning, when I saw how Biteforce had those magnet treads, I was like "Oh my gosh, that's genius". There were times where it kept Biteforce stable when doing suplexes. I wanted Biteforce to win, even though there was doubt that it may get wrecked by Tombstone or Bronco.

Up against Ghost Raptor, when compared to pushing power, I thought Biteforce had the edge and was able to endure more than Ghost Raptor. And it did. Biteforce was going into the finals against Bronco or Tombstone. And then during the match of Bronco versus Tombstone, I was rooting for Bronco. It looked promising in the beginning, having Tombstone flipped to the side and damaging itself, but, in the end Bronco couldn't get an accurate hit and with a shredded wheel, Tombstone won.

Finally, Biteforce would go head to head with Tombstone. Apparently wedges are the way to go to beating Tombstone, and deflecting that energy from Tombstone's spinner really did win them the match. I also liked the control in the beginning, pinning Tombstone to the walls and putting pressure. Anyways, glad to see that Biteforce won, sad to see that I didn't get enough likes for Aptyx Designs' Facebook page contest to win a free Biteforce shirt.

So uh, yeah, the website's finally up now. I'm thinking it's gonna crash again once people notice that it's up finally. I filled out the beginning form, which was just an email and creating a password, told that a verification email was sent, checked, my buddy didn't receive one either, now I gotta wait for an email. Inb4 the site crashes and I can't input the stupid verification code. Ah school districts and their site hosting.

Alrighty, tomorrow's gonna be a long day, I'ma try to finish reading the whol th- ah who am I kidding I'm probably gonna read Sparknotes for this s***. Seriously, f*** you Amy Tan, why you gotta write this s*** so that I gotta write about you wrote. I'm just kidding, I got nothing against the author, but seriously if she knew that people were gonna have to slave over a paper over what she wrote. Holy s*** 1989, really? It's all about old books isn't it. *sigh*, okay, see you tomorrow.

Oh yeah and last night I had some crazy dreams, like, a lot, and I mean A LOT. Most specifically getting electrocution therapy, but it only hurt for the first couple seconds, the rest I handled okay. So yeah, see you tomorrow.

Week: 49
Songs to Remember: Devil - Super Junior

Ah, what a relaxing day. Yeah it was pretty relaxing, I just delayed the inevitable work that I gotta do by just doing nothing today.

Just kidding, I played some Terraria and received some mail. The mail is actually the letter from the school on how to register online. Well, I went to the website, and, it's f***ing offline. Did they not anticipate the amount of people registering? It says "Please make every effort to complete the online registration process by August 4th". Yeah thanks.

Pretty sure the website's gonna crash again on the 4th considering how well the hosting is going. Ah, school district web hosting. Anyways, picture taking's gonna be about a week from now, and uhh, pretty s*** that we have to go pick-up our schedule (well just the classes, they don't show us the periods or teachers so that we may prepare) at the school, where there will be huge long-ass lines, which would make the process even longer than it needs to be.

I mean, whatever, there are obviously flaws in how they handle things, this is the first year they're doing online registering, so, gonna expect some s****y handling. And so uh, yeah, voice-chatted with my best buddy just a while ago on Curse Voice after some League games. And uh, Battlebots season finale tomorrow. That's gonna be fun.

Also watched Running Man episode 231, that ending was f***ing amazing. And that's pretty much it so far. I'll see you tomorrow.

Songs to Remember: Don't Flirt - Winner

I should've figured that I'd be too tired after 4 hours sitting at a table to read.

After I got to the library, I luckily ran into my buddy at the door (not literally). I noticed he wears a lot of vibrant clothing so, he was easy to spot. Also there weren't as many people as I remembered. Anyways, we sat down at a table and waited for his cousin to come (our tutee). Soon after, we other buddy Ek came, along with my buddy's cousin.

I didn't really get to tutor him, as my other buddy, the one who I met last year at this tutoring thing, Ai, asked for help tutoring this 5-year old girl. I was like "What the s*** she's like 5" and my buddy was like "Yeah, she's going into kindergarten". We couldn't really teach her much because, there really ain't all that much for going into kindergarten. Like, 2+2, but she already knew that. I noticed she had an accent to her voice, like an English accent, which was pretty cool, I actually never met anybody who spoke like that.

My buddy left me to tutor some other kids with his other buddy, which was fine 'cause his other buddy was girl,  but uhh, yeah I just stayed at the table, monitoring our 5-year old tutee, who was having fun portraying paper origami airplanes as a family. Like the big paper airplane was the daddy, there was a mommy, a baby, a brother, etc. Never actually experienced how a kindergartener acted, so this was new.

After the first session was over, the girl left, my buddy was still helping tutoring with that girl, my buddy with his tutee and Ek were nowhere to be found, I had nobody to tutor, and I didn't want to tutor anybody. I saw my other buddies at a table in the corner, so I decide to join 'em since I had no s*** to do. I also saw that pretty much everybody had their own tutee so I was like "Aight whatever". My buddies basically tutored a couple kids, one read a book (the one I'm supposed to read for f***ing Honors English), one was on his phone but still tutoring, and one was playing Minecraft on iOS. F***ing nasty controls, that's all I'm gonna say.

We got hungry towards the end, my buddy came up with the idea to look at the foodporn subreddit to fill our empty stomachs. Also, I noticed Ln was tutoring on the stage up front. When she came down, I was like "Ay". We talked a bit outside as we were waiting for our parents to pick us up. I'm still not experienced enough to make a convo, I don't know, I end up asking "How was your day" often on Facebook. I guess I just didn't expect this s***.

And so, I discovered my buddy Ek was playing chess with my other buddy's tutee and some friends, my buddy was hanging out somewhere with his girl buddies, and another one of my buddies was helping tutor with this girl. It didn't matter, I got a new experience this time around. I was like "Yep, that's enough social interaction for the week".

In game news, I played a s*** ton of ARAM games with buddy, lasted from 10:00 PM to about 1:30 AM (it's 2:02 AM now), Terraria (apparently Nebula armor is much better than Spectre armor against the Moon Lord. It was the tongue-leech, it didn't affect life-regen only life-steal, ha!). And uh, yeah. Gonna have to get s*** done soon, but in the meantime I preparing for it. See you tomorrow.

Thursday, July 23, 2015 "Work Incoming."

Thursday, July 23, 2015
Week: 49
Songs to Remember: Cool Night - SLEEPY (슬리피) & Song Ji Eun (송지은)

Next week is gonna be registration and s*** probably. Well, online at least. Then the picture taking and ID thing after that maybe. Also July is gonna end soon, so, my summer's pretty much ended.

Gotta do that registration stuff, plus, Honors English summer work, as well as AP Bio summer work, which I'm probably gonna write some deep s*** and hope that it'll sound insightful enough. Because seriously, there's no real answer to 'em.

I found myself watching Running Man some more again lately. By lately I mean these past couple days. Already went through episode 225 to 231 now. It does allow me to occupy my attention for the time being as I can never find something new to watch on my YouTube subscriptions feed (besides League upon League gameplays).

My buddy is still in Oregon so tomorrow during tutoring, he won't be there. It's okay, I'm still gonna go, most likely just gonna sit at a table with my other buddy Ek, as she talks to her friend and tutors, all while I somewhat help tutor. It's 4 hours.

Also, Terraria. Finally almost finishing it up for now. defeated the Moon Lord twice (or was it three times) today, for the first time. This was, out of about 9 tries maybe? Maybe even more. Damn is it a f***ing bootleg-ass fight. The tongue-leech man, that s***'s unavoidable. Anyways, after I beat him some more times, make the armor for more of my characters, I'll be done with Terraria for a while. Pretty good f***ing game, I've sunk almost 140 hours into it this summer, and I bought it around mid-June I believe.

So yeah, I'm thinking about getting a start on the Honors English BS summer work. That's if I don't get distracted from Running Man, because I'm gonna be reading a f***ing book, and this s*** doesn't contain any pictures at all, man. F***. Anyways, I'll see you tomorrow.

Week: 49
Songs to Remember: Run and Run - Bigstar

Not sure what I'd call this day. I mean I did the usual stuff, Terraria, League, Skype, building a f***ing garden shed.

For Terraria, I got through the Lunatic Cultist, the Celestial Towers, but couldn't beat the Moon Lord. Seriously, bootleg as f***. Apparently you gotta run through the map and have him chase you while you fire back. This sucks for melee classes 'cause their new weapons are just ranged. It's technically not even melee damage, they're doing damage at a range. Nebula weapons are pretty cool though.

League, I just did some late night games with my buddy in ARAM matches. There's this event where you get assists and gold and you get either a Graves icon or a TF icon. I chose the TF icon because it looks cooler, and just so happens to be easier. It's uh, 12:46 AM right now.

Oh and the shed, we managed to pull it together and complete it. Had to have me, my mom, and my dad to finish it. There were some screws so half of the roofing couldn't wedge in. I'd say it took about 7 hours in total, of what I helped, 4 yesterday and 3 today. All in all, I now know that I should ever own a DIY garden shed. Holy hell.

And uh, yeah, that was pretty much it today. Oh and I finished watching The Dark Knight Rises last night. I expected to see more of Batman, but, he didn't really show up all that much 'till the very end. It was basically just Bruce and his struggles. Still, I do like The Dark Knight more than Rises, mostly because of the Heath's Joker. Tom Hardy's Bane was pretty cool, but, there was just more depth to the Joker than Bane. Guess it's just the character in general. Besides, I love how the voice sounds, because it's so funny it's good. "You're a big guy" "For you."

So uh, I give it an 8/10, would've been better if Batman actually used his gadgets. Against, he went for all-out fist fight. The Bat doesn't count. There's more but I don't wanna talk about it because I'm missing sleep. Anyways, see you tomorrow.

Tuesday, July 21, 2015 "I Asked For Work."

Tuesday, July 21, 2015
Week: 49
Songs to Remember: Bang Bang Bang - Big Bang

I sit on my PC all day. When I dad asks me to help him in the yard, I didn't expect to be helping him assemble a whole garden shed. I complain all the time about how it's so boring and there's nothing to do/watch, and I get what I get. Work.

And by no means, building a f***ing shed is not easy. Instructs were f***ing bland, my dad had all the major parts pre-assembled so all we needed was to bolt it all together. Took a while, also used my first power-drill today. We still didn't get the shed done though, the roofing is the stupidest part of it all, because of tiny minute problems with how it's all assembled.

I looked up the instructional videos on how to build it, they just gave a quick run-through, not really explaining much. Their video also had bootleg equipment that nobody owns, so that just made it harder. And uh, yeah, we got the whole shed together, without half of the roofing, so, I'll have to help with that tomorrow.

Also, today was a very interesting day. Well, eh, yeah. My buddy Em messaged me about how she's going to be moving in 40 days, but, she's going to be spending most of those days hanging out at my school, so that'll be fun for the first couple seasons of the new series. But, of course, something went down and apparently her new house is ready to go, so, she's now moving in 12 days. Ah well, I still hope for more Skype calls with her, definitely makes my nights.

I have never seen more spiders in a day, than today. I saw like 4-5 different spiders on and around the shed pieces outside in the yard. There was this yellow one that looked like it was covered in pollen. this green-ish one with long legs, and a couple more with, long legs. Like, seriously, these spiders can't eat somewhere else? Hmm? Make my work harder why don'tcha.

And last but not least, my cousin got his driver's license today. I think he's finalizing some paperwork, but he did the test thingy, and, he got it. He told me it really does depend on the person you get. He started learning how to drive last year, when he was around 16. I would have started, but, laziness just got the better of me, and because there is really no point. I mean, my mom isn't obligated to drive me to school, I could literally walk there, and I don't go to other places often, soooo, not really a point for my getting it early. Plus you gotta renew it and s*** when you turn 18 or so. And uh, yeah, congrats dude.

I didn't get a chance to play much Terraria or any League today, but, last night I did watch half of The Dark Knight Rises. I got about an hour and a half in, realized it was 4:00 AM, decided "Okay, this is not going to work out". But before I started the movie, around 2:30 AM or so, I felt a small shaking. It started like a loud thump, I was like "Ah s***, is someone coming in?" and then I was like "Ah s***, an earthquake". 4.0 on the scale, I was more worried about the oncoming Facebook posts with people saying "Did you feel that?" or "Can't believe there was an earthquake!" or "There was an earthquake?" and last, but not last "When the earthquake magnitude is higher than your GPA". I mean, to be honest, there are many earthquakes, but, we really can't feel 'em since they're so small, like a 1.0 or something. Thought he was original, searched it up, counted out several on tweets and s***. I was like "*sigh* What did I expect? What is original on the internet nowadays?"

So anyways, time for nighty-night. I'll see you tomorrow.

Monday, July 20, 2015 "Buddy."

Monday, July 20, 2015
Week: 49
Songs to Remember: Nothing - Smells and Reno

As I talked about before, my buddy, the one who I consider my best buddy, is going to be going to a different school from now on. This is a post to talk about how it went so far.

The first time I interacted with him was in 7th grade, middle school. I actually know him earlier than that, which was back in 6th grade. This was when I had just moved to where I am right now, so this was real different to me. The elementary school I had went to had grades K - 6, while other elementary schools have grades K - 5. It's weird, I don't really know any other schools that do this.

Anyways, I was only at this elementary school for 6th grade. That was it. Surprisingly, for my buddy it was the same. He went from a different elementary school and came here at 6th grade. We weren't in the same class actually, but the class I was in was adjacent to the class that he was in. I saw him at times playing Wall-Ball (I've only ever seen this at these elementary schools here, not sure elsewhere). He made jokes and s*** with his buddies while playing.

I never played with him in Wall-Ball, and first impressions, as a 12 year-old 6th grader, I found him kinda annoying. Even though he never ever spoke to me, I just didn't like him. It wasn't 'till 7th grade in middle school, on the first day, that we spoke to each other. I remember what he first said to me: "Hey Drew" and I was like "Hey Ec", heh. I knew him, I wasn't sure if he knew me, but he did. I decided to hang out at this tree and bench that my friends/people I knew before they became my real friends were at. He hung out here too.

We had classes together, being 4th period P.E and 6th period Science. We were also on the same "team", which was this way that the school divide us into groups for pep rallies and teacher assigning. So let's say, you were team purple, you'd only have teachers who were part of team purple. Kinda weird explaining it like this, but makes more sense when I verbally explain it. Anyways, we, umm, hmm.

I actually don't remember what we did, but I did know that he played League A LOT with our buddies. I specifically remember when I asked about him about League and what it's about. They said stuff about controlling armies or "minions" and kill the enemy nexus. I asked if there were any, uh, robot champions in League, and they said "Yeah, Blitzcrank". And that's the story about how I mainly play support 'till this day. Also, because I like the champion pool for supports and how it's so versatile.

But that's not the point of this post. So uh, we had fun times in middle school, we met up on orientation day of High School, umm, High School came, this whole thing came, we still hung out. We didn't have any classes together. There was a period of time during freshman year where he didn't hang out me or any of our buddies, he was hanging out and having lunch with these 2 other girls. That went on for a couple weeks before he introduced me to his new friends (added on to the buddies we already had/have, he didn't replace anybody).

He came up to me, I was happy to see him again after an absence (not the school thing, just in general), and led me to where him and his new friends were hanging out. He also invited another one of our buddies, soon everybody came over and that became our new hangout spot. There were some problems with him moving away to a different school district (still living relatively close though) during that year, but things got settled and this school district let him stay.

And then came sophomore year, we still had fun. During freshman year, he was hyping up that the 3 of us, me, him, and a buddy of ours would go to the Winter Ball. It didn't happen though, heh. Things were cool, I sometimes did homework during lunch time, often getting help on Chinese homework because I'm not that great at Chinese., heh.

As with all friendships, there's got to be a fight somewhere, and there was. The reason? Rage during a League game. I was calling someone out for not doing well, we lost, my buddy guess it wasn't that calling out someone bad even though they don't hear it is still bad, argued with me as to why I was calling that player out, all whilst in a Skype call with me, him, a buddy of ours, and her friend. We showed up to school the next day, he felt bad for getting worked up, I was still hanging onto a grudge.

Things mended when he invited me to a League game and to forget about it all. I can't believe I worked s*** up that was impacting our friendship, over a video game. But hey, there's gotta be fights though, no matter what, to balance things out.

I also invited him, as well as a couple of our buddies, the other Drew's, to go see a movie on Halloween night. Was it fun? Hell yeah. He came over to my house after school, I haven't had a buddy over in a while, he probably never came to a buddy's house in a while either. F***ing would do it again. And now, the school year's ended, a new one's gonna start soon, he receives a letter from our school district stating that they're kicking him from the district since his parents can't prove that they live in this city (which they aren't but still, he just needs 2 more years and he's done here).

So, he's going to a new school, still relatively close here. And uh, yeah. years of playing League with him, years of chatting in our Skype chat where our buddies and us write dank memes all the time, it's f***ing amazing. It's gonna be really different without him around right now, but hey, makes more interesting content, and a new experience. And so I just wanted to say, Eric, if you are to ever read this, then thanks for being a cool buddy.

His name's common enough that he probably won't be able to be identified. I mean, there are A LOT of Eric's. And umm, we just finished playing a couple of ranked League games, with me as Braum support and him being Sivir/Tristana ADC. Pretty fun. Also found a dude who likes hentai. Yeah, midnight games get weird.

Anyways, it's 1:02 AM, still got the light on. I'll see you tomorrow.

Week: 48
Songs to Remember: Diary - E.Via (Tymee)

Long time no dream. Well I have had dreams, but nothing really worth talking 'bout. I guess this time it's worth it.

Okay so, the dream I had last night (or maybe yesterday's night, not sure now), I dreamt that I was the series finale again. Except, it wasn't like how this series' finale was, it was just, the last day of school, of probably this past series.

I often get this feel, this nostalgic sort of feel every time it's nearing the beginning of the school year. Probably other people get that too. It's a reoccurring thing. I guess since I go through this every year, it's like "that time of year again". Only this time, I actually have work to do.

But oh man. Every time it's nearing the start of school, it's always different. I was really nervous during the first series, So don't be on with Her. This. I was expecting High School to be a crazy thing, like in the movies and whatnot. The year passed, and well, it was, totally unexpected s*** happened, not like the movies, but, hey, it was sorta fun. It was, new.

Second series, 100% Chance of Bad, I think I was more eager than nervous when that year came around. After it, I was like "Man, this stuff keeps on getting better and better". Just that I don't know what things get better. And now, holy s***, we're already approaching the 3rd series. That's pretty f***ing crazy, that it's been around 2-3 years now of, this. Probably 2 and a half because I started this thing back in December. Well, I started when I started writing this on a Google Doc.

Anyways, today i did the usual Terraria. Invited my cousin, lent him some of my gear so he can experience what I've been doing in it. Also, there's been this song that's been in my head for years. I haven't been able to find this artist/song until today. She's a K-Pop rapper whom I saw on the Korean channel Arirang back in 2010 at my grandmother's house, where my cousin first introduced me to K-Pop.

I had the song and MV downloaded onto my laptop, as well as my login screen being her (I was 11 okay?). That was on my old, old, old laptop. Since then, the thing's been wiped, my dad now uses it, I don't remember the name of the artist or song. I did however remember what she looked liked, distinct pictures as well as shots from the music video. I started searching, typing in s*** like "female K-Pop rapper 2010), went to images as that was probably the fastest way I could find her, and bam, there was an image that I distinctly remember.

And well, I found her. Her name was E.Via (now going by the name Tymee) and the song I remembered was called "Diary". Not that many videos of it, it's only been 5 years, but s***, it feels like forever ago. Song's still as good as before. Now, if only I could find that damn bootleg Cartoon Network active s*** song.

So yeah, this has been one of my longer posts, in a while. I'm getting tired, I'll see you tomorrow.

Saturday, July 18, 2015 "Starting Later."

Saturday, July 18, 2015
Week: 48
Songs to Remember: Nanana - Grey Dog

Oh god, it's already July 18th. Now, this would be the time for me to prepare and s*** for school, but like, school for me is starting later than usual, around August 13th of something around there. 'Cause like, it's July 18th. There's been no mail or emails about registration yet, which is good.

Because every time I think about doing my summer assignments, registration (at least just picture takings), waking up at 7:00 AM, AP classes, OH GAWD. Sorry, just the more I think about it, the more anxious I become.

Anyways, just did some Terraria, League, the usual again today. That's pretty much been this whole thing, this whole summer (besides SOME stuff). Honestly, right now I'm not ready to go back to school. Hell, I f***ing skipped out on sitting at a table for 4 hours on a Friday and socialize (and well, tutor at the same time a bit).

Watched a bit of Running Man last night, probably tonight as well. Tomorrow's the quarterfinals of Battlebots so I'm kinda hyped up for that. Just really, looking for something new right now. I'll see you tomorrow.

Week: 48
Songs to Remember: Sober - Big Bang

The time I decide not to carry the weight of being social, just for, hmm, 4 hours straight, only because my buddy would not be there for it, people message me about it. Those people? The one's I would've been social with!

Like, 11:00 AM, woke up, super tired, just got on my PC and was like "Mom, the library's closed today, unexpectedly". She was "Oh". I mean she doesn't care if I don't go or not, o already have more than enough hours for my community service s***, and in no possible way I could amount like 500 hours or something to get this maroon chord that my school offers. Basically if you do 500 recorded hours of community service, you get to wear this red chord at graduation. Yeah that's, basically it. 500 hours of pay-free work, and uh, you get a nice, red, chord. I actually saw pictures if it today from someone's late graduation pictures on Facebook, and uh, well, it looks just like the regular yellow chord, except it's red. I'm sorry, maroon.

So anyways, at around 2:00 PM or so, I get messages from Ek and Ln on Facebook, Ln was like " Ugh, I'm at the library" and Ek was like "Help with the tutoring pls ;-;" or something like that. She uses "xD" and emoji's a lot. I was like "Damn, the day I decide not to go to tutoring". I told Ek that I'm still on LA. My buddy said he was gonna have his friend tutor our tutee. My buddy's gonna be in Oregon for a week or so, so uh, yeah. Well at least I know that it's fine to go next week, even if my buddy doesn't get back by that time.

Also, guess what? I did laundry for the first time today. Well, got a demonstration on how to. There was a lot of things that I never knew like, this bootleg compartment that comes out that allows you to put a set amount of detergent and "softener" in. When my mom told me to pull open the compartment, I was like "Oh, s***, there's a compartment". Then came the detergent and softeners, I was like "Oh, s***, there's softener. That thing exists".

There were some knobs on like the water temperature, cycle, etc. Most of it's already preset and/or somewhat obvious. Drying, it was all pretty much preset, except for the this lint catcher or whatever. Not sure what it is, but uh, yeah. It got pretty late (by my mom's standards, 10:00 PM) so she was like "We'll continue this tomorrow" so uh, yeah. That's laundry.

So anyways, backed out of socializing 'cause I was tired, and I saw a demonstration of using a washing machine and dryer today. Also some Terraria, and League. Somewhat average. I'll see you tomorrow.

Thursday, July 16, 2015 "Chronological Milestones."

Thursday, July 16, 2015
Week: 48
Songs to Remember: Lonely Funk - Kim Tae Woo

I don't how to word this, but, today I crossed a milestone. No wait, uh, reached a milestone? Sounds a bit better.

As I was eating dinner, my parents were getting ready to head out for grocery shopping. They usually do this at around 1:00 PM, but today it was at around 7:00 PM. Why? Because today my parents were expecting an inspector to come to our house early in the morning. He did come, but at around 4:00 PM instead. So, my parents were basically waiting here at home for the dude to come, instead of grocery shopping.

So since my mom would be out for an hour (and she usually does the dishes, and by that I mean the only one), she used this chance to ask me to do the dishes. I was like "Alright". Seems normal right? No, no it doesn't actually, heh. This was the first time I ever did the dishes. And I mean EVER. I'm 16 and a half right now. What better time right?

My parents left, I finished dinner, went ahead and started doing the dishes. I forgot something and went to my room and I'm like "Ah f***, why did I have to eat all this" after discovering like 3 plates left in my room. I scrubbed about 4 cups, 3 dishes, 3 plates, a pan (if you'd call it that), and uh, a couple lids or whatever. I was filming myself doing this too, just so I wouldn't be bored, and because it really was, well, I mean it's the first I've ever done it okay?

Scrubbing the dishes and plates were the easy part (sorta), organizing them so they'd fit all on the drying rack was the challenge. Anyways, that, along with some Skype, Terraria, and League was what was all today. Now, last night, that was fun. I wanted to watch a movie, preferably coming of age movies, but then I remember the movie Chronicle. I was like "Oh hey". I remembered somewhere that people thought it was a bad movie mostly because it was shot as found footage, so I didn't get my hopes as high.

As the movie went on, I was on the edge of my seat. Well, my bed at least. When the ending came and the credits, I got chills man. I was like "How could people hate this movie?" and "Time to look up the wiki and read about the movie". I usually do this with every movie I watch, because I get curious as to how they made it and what not. Turns out, people didn't hate it as much. Actually, it's rated as an 80% on RottenTomatoes. I was like "Holy-". So apparently people liked it. I liked it too. Not sure why I thought a lot of people hated it. Hmm.

Also, turns out it came out in 2012. I always thought it was something like 2010. Nope, it's actually pretty recent. So anyways, the beginning of the movie was pretty casual. Well, it introduced the characters very differently, it then became casual, and then slowly moved into a really really dark setting. You'd think it wouldn't go really dark, oh it goes really dark alright. You also feel for some the characters as well. So uh, all in all, it became one of my favorite movies. I honestly loved it.

Read up on the wiki and it said the genre was "Sci-fi Thriller". I was like "Oh, now that was why I was on the edge of my seat". And uh, yeah. I give it an 8/10. Would've been higher if it weren't for, well, yeah the camera thing. Just, ehhh.

Okay, 12:39 AM. I think I'll go to sleep now, oh did I mention I stayed up till 4:00 AM yesterday? Yeah, definitely should've rescheduled the 1:00 AM movie crave. Alright, see you tomorrow.

Wednesday, July 15, 2015 "Again With the Lazy."

Wednesday, July 15, 2015
Week: 48
Songs to Remember: Red Alert (Jaxx Radio Mix) - Basement Jaxx

There isn't much to write about. Probably due to the fact that I'm pretty f***ing lazy.

There's times where I'm too lazy to be lazy. Like, not wanting to watch a movie even though there's nothing new to watch from my YouTube subscriptions, only because I'm too lazy to sit through a whole hour and a half. I think I've talked about this before.

Anyways, just the usual Terraria, Ln messages, no League today actually. Tomorrow's Thursday, and then the day after is Friday, which means the 5 hour social session. It's like I'm forcing myself to be social. So yeah, see you tomorrow.

Songs to Remember: Come Again - M-Flo

And to think it was Monday. No, it's freaking Tuesday, it's week 48, and I finally updated the song list.

My online buddies are spread across 3 schools, including the one I go to. What keeps us together? Our Skype group chat, as well as League when we all play together. Some of these guys I've never seen in person before, a couple I haven't/won't see for a long time. But look, we're still here and talking to each other.

Pretty crazy. Anyways, just Terraria, YouTube vids, League as usual today. See you tomorrow. Oh yeah, and Ln occasionally messages me. Usually it's either about online K-Pop contests she's in and wants help, or school s***. And, Yue's back in Malayasia. Not sure if she's gonna stay there, or come back here in the U.S. Also, I'm gonna have to make a post about Ec, my best buddy, who now has to go to a different school. Ya'll know him. So yeah, see you tomorrow.

Songs to Remember: Just Right - GOT7

After I cleaned out my binders yesterday, I read over the Honors English assignment and it said to start reading the book around the end of July. I was like "Holy s***, it's giving me permission to procrastinate."

Also there's going to be a test on the 2nd day of school (really?) on the book. I mean, really? Come on man, for AP classes, maybe, but Honors, no please. Holy s***, just remembered I have Honors Pre-Cal. Fuuuuuuuuu. *sigh*, anyways, the AP Biology summer assignment is just like, couple paragraphs on s*** in life that re-connects to stuff in, well, Biology. After looking over it again I'm like "What the f***, there's like no real answers, everything's up for interpretation" and I'm pretty good at making realistic-sounding metaphors.

So, I could MOST LIKELY, finish it in a day or two. So, I got nothing to worry about right now, registration's gonna be mostly online, school starts late in August, ON A THURSDAY for that matter, I could relax for now, things are going just, alright. Oh and for my day? League, Terraria, Skype, videos on YouTube.

And by the way, I have this friend on Facebook, who did go to my High School, but moved to live in Vietnam. She came back, then stayed for a while, and still is in Vietnam. She chose to stay because of how much she's helping over their, also the atmosphere and way of life. That's pretty cool of her.

She started this blog thing where she writes and takes pictures of the stuff in Vietnam and her daily life their. It's pretty awesome if you wanna check it out. Anyways, I'll see you tomorrow.

Sunday, July 12, 2015 "More or Less Sleep."

Sunday, July 12, 2015
Week: 47
Songs to Remember: Girls - Se7en

Well, it's July 12th already. I've been getting a lot of sleep, and losing a lot of sleep. I also, finally cleaned out my binder.

Now since I was really tired yesterday, I had no time to make a post. I watched Jurassic World, ate pizza, and yeah. I also talked a bit with my aunt's boyfriend. I've met him before (several times actually), but never actually had a real convo.

Jurassic World was an okay movie. I'm only saying that because it kinda made me sleepy. The plot was not what I was expecting. Spoilers in the next couple paragraphs.

I thought that the movie (I've seen the trailer ONCE, but I don't remember what it was about) was about a bunch of dinosaurs breaking out of captivity, aaand terrorizing people. Instead, the movie focuses one dinosaur. There were some parts where I disagree with/ could've done differently. The little kid was running around like a prisoner escaping from life in prison. Seriously, how did the brother not lose him with all those people. It really could've turned into another scene from the game "Heavy Rain", but instead of shouting "Jason!", Zach would be shouting "Gray!" (and yes, I did have to look up their names AGAIN). Another part I don't get is where Claire didn't explain to Owen what the other species the Indominous Rex was made from. Like, how is "Velociraptor" top secret? It's one of the most known dinosaurs. I thought it would be some sort of rare alien dinosaur or something, but no, just velociraptor.

And finally, when trying to create a dinosaur that should look "cool", why not give it spikes. I mean, a dinosaur that is combined of a Tyrannosaurus Rex and a Velociraptor, looks honestly just like a white T-Rex. Nothing that "cool" asthetically, besides the coloring. How about wings, spikes, armor plating, anything. Okay, just now looked at pictures of it (since I don't really remember to the tiniest detail of the thing), it has spikes. But those are the tiniest spikes known to man. I'm talking, Spinosaurus type s***.

Anyways, the movie was eh. Characters were eh. Storyline, was eh. The deaths though, there were more than I expected, like, way more. I thought it would be for kids and just show the deaths off-screen, but uh, there were some deaths that were shown, and it's nice they kept in a lot of deaths. So, I like that. I give the movie about, hmmmm, a 7/10. I mean, didn't fall asleep, but almost, but I liked the visuals. Visuals and amount of deaths were nice.

So uh, yeah, that was about it yesterday. Had a dream after I woke up at 8:00 AM, proceeded to stay asleep in that dream 'till 9:00 AM, where I was woken up and packed my bags to go back home. Arrived at around 4:00 PM. And yes, I also slept in the car. Yeah that's it so far, got tidied up after cleaning out my binders. Still got work to do, probably will do 'em at the end of August. I'll see you tomorrow.

Week: 47
Songs to Remember: Peanuts Song (피너츠송) - Ahn Yong Jun (안용준)

I always start out in a s****y situation, but in the end I end up wanting more, because it turns out it became great.

I set my alarm (on my phone) to 7:00 AM. I also set another one at 8:00 AM, 9:00 AM, and 10:00 AM. i ended up waking at 11:00 AM. Stayed up pretty late last night, around 3:00 AM.  I was planning on playing Terraria all day, but when I my mom called me down for breakfast and to go get my hair cut, I was like "Aww man...". Only 'cause I'm lazy.

Head down to eat, head out with my dad and walked to the barber shop that was close to our house, about a block down (not really sure how long a block is, but, probably less than that). When we got there, it was closed. I was like "It's okay, i can have my hair cut at the barber shop back home". My dad was like "There are plenty of barber shops around here" and so we walk to like, downtown.

I was like "Okay, fine". I've only walked those streets back in 2011 or so with my cousin (the one who took to me to Anime Expo) to go to this one bootleg card shop (like, YuGiOh). My dad and I walked like, a pretty long distance. Very long walking distance, to find a barber shop.

At first glance, I was like "Oh hey, this looks like a good place". There were a couple people there already so we had to wait a while. There was this man there, he had an already fairly shaven head. He asked for a trim or something, but also brought along his own razor and asked for a shave. I expected it to take only about 5 minutes, but nope, it took a bit longer than I thought.

After about 20 minutes, sitting there, with one guy having his hair cut to perfection and another guy having his shaved head trimmed to perfection, my dad had enough and just left. The barber dude was like "Are you sure? He's next". My dad just left. I was thinking like "What the ever-living f***, we left just because you don't like the people here?". My dad said to me "My god, what a waste of time. They take so long. Kids, spending time and money on their perfect hair instead of doing something productive" (referring to one of the dudes getting their hair cut).

I was like "What the f***", we coulda just went back home and have my hair cut at our usual place. But no, apparently we gotta have it now and today. So we're walking back, we see another barber shop and head in. I was like "Oh my f***ing god, dad, now we're going to have to wait again".

We got lucky. There was no one there, just a guy on his laptop, and yes, he was the barber. The neighborhood we're in, right now in LA, is not that great of a neighborhood. There's a lot of people in poverty, homless, run-down houses, you get it. Just, not THAT great. It's also mainly consists of people of Hispanic culture. By that I mean everybody in the neighborhood knows or speaks Spanish.

This guy wasn't of hispanic culture and spoke like, English. He seemed really friendly, he was like "Are you ready man". Made me feel pretty comfortable. He started talking to my dad a bit, having a small convo like "Where you reside, how many kids you got", etc. The dude made some pretty bootleg joke/questions like "Are you a rapper?" (in which I obviously do not resemble any rapper-esque qualities or looks at all). He was pretty funny.

He also asked me what I like, and well, I really didn't know WHAT I liked. I was like "Oh, uh, video games". He was like "Video games, huh?". He started talking a bit about, people, about, jobs, work, money. I asked him what he's doing, if he had all this money. He said he was in the process of, like, investing online or something. Can't really remembe EXACTLY what he said.

He also mentioned trading with those investments, I'm like "Oh, trading, I see". Then he mentions some business terms with trading, maybe some trading companies/strategies, I barely know what trading is, I just went along with it like "Oh yeah that, mhmm", heh. From business, he went on further to explain, how people work, and that it's not good to be working for someone, and it's not good to have people working for you.

Us humans are capable of a lot of things/ It doesn't sound too great when you say "Hey, I'm working for blah blah blah!". It also doesn't sound too great when you say "Look at me, I got 3000 people working for me!". People are like apes, working to show off in this, concrete zoo. They act and show just to get a few bananas, heh.

Jay-Z and Tony Robbins are some of the people he mentioned, who made legacies. Jay-Z, who started out as (as he had honestly said it) a "poor-ass nigga", heh. And now look at him. He's got all this money, that he's got his family and his children and his children's children and so on,that they'd be set for life. Jay-Z's made a legacy for his bloodline. Tony Robbins, an inspirational speaker, who helps others, while in turn, this would help himself as well.

He was like "What's that one word? Where one helps others and in turn, they would help them too?". I was thinking of "Symbiotic relationship" but the word he was referring to was "entrepreneur philanthropist". A person, making their own, and helps out others while and because they're making their own. "Entrepreneur philanthropist", sounds like vocabulary from my English class, heh.

I was on the verge of tears halfway through his, rant (not in a bad way, I enjoyed it and learned A LOT from it). Like, I'm not even kidding, I did not expect to hear life-changing reasons during a small haircut. Not sure why he just, opened up to me about all that stuff, not sure if he does that to everybody who goes to the shop.

And it's not even his shop even, he made an example of it by saying how the roof above his head at the shop doesn't even belong to him, it belongs to someone else, and he wants to someday make his own. Not his own barber shop, but his own, you know, business or something. Anyways, I've seen the "Humans of New York" page on Facebook, and there was so many things he said, I needed to get a picture of him, along with a quote.

After my haircut was finished, I was like "May I ask for your name?". "Tim", he replies, and shaked my hand, just like when we came in. I asked "Can I get a picture of you? It's for a project" (in which, "It's for a project" is now my excuse for taking pictures of anybody, heh). "Also, what was that quote you said, about legacies?". "Oh, umm, you have to make your own entrepreneur legacy so you won't have to work under the corrupt legacies of society".

I really liked his statement about how there were 2 kinds of people, the legacy builders, and the workers. Legacybuilders, well, try to build their legacy, while workers work to help others build their legacy. Like, Steve Jobs, or Bill Gates. People know them, but not any others who helped, create Windows, or the iPhone. Saying "I created the iPhone" is better than "I worked to help create the iPhone by Steve Jobs".

TIm also made examples of movies, like the movie "Antz" or "The Matrix". Also this video game called "The One". Anyways, we shook hands, my dad gave him a big tip, and waved good bye. Tim said that in March of next year, he'll be gone for good and be traveling, something everybody should do. So, hopefully I'll be able to see him in December during Christmas time. As we were walking out, my eyes kinda teary but I didn't actually shed a tear, my dad was like "He's a cool guy, huh?". I was like "Yeah, he's cool".

We stopped at my aunt's workplace (which was surprisingly right next to where Tim was at), said hello, stopped for burritos at this one place, came back to the house at around 3:00 PM. And well, here I am. Man, was I not expecting this at all. At first glance he's just a dude working at a barber shop, turned out to be one of the most insightful person I met so far. If I ever become successful, in doing whatever I'll be doing, in making my own business or whatever, I'll dedicate it to my friends, family, and Tim. See you tomorrow.

Songs to Remember: Peanuts Song (피너츠송) - Ahn Yong Jun (안용준)

I think I've talked about technology before, but there's this new cool thing on YouTube where people can make videos using this bootleg camera which allows you to view the video 360 degrees. 360 DEGREES.

Yesterday my buddies talked about it on Skype. When they mentioned 360, I thought of it as like, the Xbox or something. I didn't really pay attention 'till today, where a buddy of mine brang it up again. I searched up "360"on YouTube and holy hell, right when I clicked the move buttons on Roman Atwood's video (it was the first one that popped up), I was like "HOLY HELL".

i had a lot of fun with that video. I looked at the comments and someone mentioned that it worked with phones as well. I was like "Wait, no, it can't be..." referring to how when looking around with a phone, it would move the camera around as well. Yep, it did that. I had a good 10 minutes of fun just, viewing a bunch of videos in 360 degrees.

I didn't really prepare to witness this new technology, so I kinda freaked out a bit. Just a bit. And then that got me thinking, the future is now. I mean, we got hoverboards in the making, biotech security with finger-print scanners, touch-screens, virtual reality games, and now, 360 degree viewable videos. Like damn, what a time to be alive, and I haven't even been through all of High School yet.

Anyways, yes, I did play Terraria and League today. It is, 12:24 PM. Umm, my dad's coming over tomorrow, and then on Saturday we're gonna head home. And uh, yeah. After playing with buddies on League, we were talking a bit about college and well, I had the thought that, soon we'll be too busy, we'll be in dfferent cities, maybe even states, and we might never do this online gaming ever again, or any other interaction.

My 6th grade elementary school teacher said that we think our friends will be BFF's and all that, but in reality our friends right now (in 6th grade) aren't going to be our friends in the future, and that in college is where we meet our real friends. I thought "Woah, that's pretty harsh to tell 6th graders man". Not sure if anyone else thought so, but hey. So uh, yeah, see you tomorrow.

Songs to Remember: Mirror - MBLAQ

Did you know my grandmother has cat? Yeah, me neither. I didn't see it during Christmas time of 2014 when I was here, so, probably recently or something.

At first I thought it was just a stray that showed up in the backyard and my grandmother and uncle would feed it everytime it came. But apparently it's here to stay. I was a bit worried when I noticed they kept it outside because it'll get too cold and too hot. They gave it a cardboard box house now with a blanket so that's good.

I watched about 5 episodes of Nichijou the past couple days, as well as play Terraria and watch YouTube vids. My schedule here right now is basically, the exact same as back home, except I stay up on the computer a lot longer. That's pretty much it.

The posts I do are really late at night (around 1 or 2:00 AM). By that time (like right now, 1:17 AM) I'm really tired so I probably don't write all that much. Just wanted to state that. Anyways, I'll see you tomorrow.

Now this time, I almost forgot. Today was the same, just with more Terraria. It would've been Maplestory 2 instead, but apparently Nexon hates everybody but Korea and won't let unverified accounts play. So uh, yeah. I'll see you tomorrow, it's like, 2:14 AM.

You thought I forgot to make a post. Well yeah, I sorta almost did. Nothing really much happened today, just, sleep, eat, Terraria, and uh, pretty much it.

I also watched 3 episodes of Nichijou at around 10:00 PM. After that, I noticed it was only 11:00 PM. I'm like "Jesus these people sleep early". Or I sleep, probably me. Anyways, I'm sleepy now (1:08 AM) so uh, see you tomorrow.

Songs to Remember: Katana Blade Chronicles - No More Heroes OST

Hey, I never did a post for Anime Expo, huh? That's right, I went to Anime Expo back in the summer of 2013, and I started this whole thing in December of 2013. So, looks like this'll be my first post on Anime Expo.

I had a bootleg dream last night, slept at around 1:00 AM, woke up at around 9:30 AM. I was kinda iffy on going, mostly due to my laziness again, but, my cousin was going anyway so, might as well. Like I said, I've went to Anime Expo before, and since that was the first time I've been to an Anime convention, I had the experience of marveling over all the cosplayers, models (collectible models duh), posters, etc.

This time, it wasn't all that. I didn't really see many eye-catching cosplays (except for the select few). The vendors had the same stuff as last time, plus now that I have the ability to get stuff online now for free (with those survey sites), I could just, get all the stuff I want, online. Still, it's not like everyday you see people cosplaying as characters you've seen in shows in real life, so, there's that.

I think it's just because it's the last day and people are just tired and whatever. I found the place not as crowded as the last time I went there. Anyways, started off with my cousin driving me in his car to the place (which is about 10 minutes away from here at our grandmother's house), had something to eat(for us, spicy tuna sushi rice balls. Actually was pretty good, not gonna lie).

I was wondering about how we were gonna get our badges to get in, but then I was like "Wait, you don't need a badge to just, walk in, heh". And, you don't. That is, if you just stay in the main lobby. and not go off to the panels or vendor area. I mean, there are probably thousands of people here so it's not like they can catch everyone without a badge.

My cousin and I met up with his friend (whom I met the last time I went to Anime Expo) and we went to the Exhibit Hall (yeah, that's what it's called). My cousin and I didn't have badges so, we just uhh, let's just say we... walked in with a crowd and while the security guards were busy checking someone else. I mean, if a whole group rushed in there, who could stop 'em? Just like my 9th grade English teacher told me, about how us students could overrun the school or whatever. I mean, there's just so many of us, who could catch us all?

So uh yeah. Not the most honest thing I've ever done, but hey, at least it's not the first (probably theater hopping with a couple of my buddies, and that's only because R rated movie age limit). We walked around a bit, looked at all the stuff, took a look at some of the game demos, etc. I ended up getting a Soul Eater hat (with like, the Soul band on the front).

We left the Exhibition hall and went back to the lobby. We played a demo of Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 (what a mouthful) and uh yeah, that was it. My cousin dropped me off back at our grandmother's house and he went with his buddy to, I don't know, other places. Of course he wasn't staying, heh.

So anyways this was just another example of how laziness gets in my way of having fun. Glad I went, and I should say that on everything. So uh, see you tomorrow. Oh and I almost forgot, here are some pictures of the place.

This was too amazing I couldn't resist.

If only it were Dorito swords and mountain dew devices, this would've been an Attack on Montage Parody cosplay.

Unfortunately, LittleKuriboh wasn't here, he was apparently sick. Ah well.

I first thought it was the shotgun sprite from Terraria and I freaked out a bit. Nope, but it did give some ideas for a TERRARIA COSPLAY. Like damn, how didn't I think of this before?

Way too expensive. Like, one of 'em had a price of $70. That's like, groceries right there.

We all know this is the best part of Anime Expo. :^)

TOO F***ING GOOD. This was amazing, never would I have thought to see this. (Myserty Skulls - Ghost animated)

Songs to Remember: When Did Your Heart Go Missing - Rooney

Woke up around 7:00 AM, just to get on a bus for several hours and arrive at my grandmother's house in LA at around 3:00 PM.

Just played Terraria, some BattleBlock Theater, and Smash pretty much. I'm pretty sure we're not gonna go to this year's Anime Expo, mostly because we're poor.

Also, the people firing fireworks here in LA are also testing out their cannons. Like, you could literally feel the shockwave from 'em. Car alarms go off because of it, and in the window of the room I'm in, guess what's outside of it? Cars.

So uh yeah, happy America day everyone. I've yawned many many times today. See you tomorrow. Oh and uh, my cousin's here by the way.

Songs to Remember: Stolen Dance - Milky Chance

Aw f***, I lost track of time for a bit. I thought today was Saturday or something and I totally forgot to make a post since I slept at 4:30 AM last night. Nope, just me thinking weird again. So here's what i put.

I stayed up 'till 4:00 AM last night (probably a bit later than that) watching "Boyhood" the 2014 movie. I made the mistake of choosing a 2 and a half hour movie to watch at 1:30 AM, but watching the movie at all wasn't.

The idea of making a movie over the course of 12 years is pretty crazy. There were some funny parts, some sad parts, and some parts that gave me chills. I could relate to some of the events in the film, as well as learn some stuff. Spoilers in the next paragraph.

Like the scene where Mason was talking to his photography teacher and how his teacher sees potential in him, but that Mason lacks ambition. And the way he treats his parents, even after going through all that (and that was A LOT) I reflect on that and I'm like "Damn". Now I know it's just a film, but it seems so real.

The characters were real cool and developed, I really liked Ethan Hawke's acting in this (and not because he was in The Purge). The ending, now that was a weird one in my opinion (spoilers for the rest of this paragraph). It's just Mason and that one girl whom I don't remember her name, sitting with each other, having friends close by and just, "in the moment", heh. It's just awkward silence and then cuts to black. I was like "Oh that's the ending". I think they were just caught up in the moment, that's why they didn't say anything. I don't know, very surprising ending though.

It was a 2 and a half hour movie. Umm, I give it a 9/10. Okay, a 9.5/10, just because of the songs featured in the film. They used songs from like, the year they were filming, so from that you could tell when it was. Like, Phoenix's "1901", Brittney Spears, High School Musical, oh man I love it. The whole movie had a bit of everything, was meaningful to me, so, 9.5/10. I just didn't like the uh, I don't know. That's it. I don't know what I don't like, and that's what I don't like. So, 9.5/10.

And good thing I remembered and reminded myself. It's about 10 posts after my 500th post! Now I don't remember if I actually said anything about it in a previous post, but considering it's 10 posts ago and I wrote about nothing for these posts so far, I probably forgot. So, here it is. It's been over 500 posts, 500, since I started this whole thing. That's like a year and a half of just a post a day. And it all started in December of 2013 at my grandmother's house I think. Well, eh, yeah I guess. Hmmm, yeah, I was bored.

And guess what? I'm going to LA to my grandmother's house tomorrow, starting with a bus ride at 8:00 AM, yay. But yeah, it's incredible I've kept this up so far. It's a lot of work and writing, but most of it is leisure so I wouldn't want to call it work. It still doesn't make me like English class anymore, don't get me wrong, heh. Oh did you hear that? Fireworks, baby. Happy America day! WOOO!

Now if you'll excuse me, I have some important business to attend to, specifically YouTube videos and sleep. So, see you tomorrow.

Songs to Remember: The Start of Something - Voxtrot

Aww man, it's July already. And, I'm not gonna be able to go to Anime Expo when I'm coming down to LA on Saturday. But hey, at least I'm making progress in Terraria right? Right?

I defeated Plantera and uh, made a couple farms. Still haven't done any of the new events yet besides the Slime Rain and new Pirate Invasion. I just unlocked the hard-mode dungeon so I'll be spending time farming that for armor and weapons.

As I play Terraria, I began using Pandora again, specifically The Strokes radio station. I have found about 10+ new songs this week. And, they're not K-Pop songs either. Uhhh, tomorrow there's no tutoring because 4th of July weekend and stuff, and uh, yeah.Sorry for not really doing any real posts talking about s*** other than gaming. The time will come when the time comes for effort in these posts I guess. See you tomorrow.

Week: 46
Songs to Remember: Stars on 45 - Stars on 45, Between Love and Hate - The Strokes

I finally finished Medabots last night. The ending was pretty bootleg and all in all was a casual funny series.

The English version of it (I prefer it over the original Japanese version) had a lot of bootleg puns in the beginning. Most of episodes were just random adventures, not really contributing to the story until the last several episodes. There's some spoilers in the two paragraphs.

So I was hoping the ending would be about Medabee vs. Arcbeetle right. I wondered "Hey, isn't there supposed to be a Medabot named Warbandit in the show? Has he appeared yet?" And whadya know, it's supposed to be Medabee vs. Warbandit. And then that's not even the ending. I completely forgot about the rubber robos and how they're running the tournament. And then there's a giant baby Medabot and guess what? What's a Japanese show without... GODZILLA! GOJIRA! A f***ing giant Medabee has to fight a giant baby Medabot, which apparently is so strong at first that it stopped the power of combined forces between several groups of Medabots into one concentrated Megaforce from a giant Medabee. Yeah, I don't know how something could survive that.

Also the sizes of the giant Medabots are a bit too big. Thank goodness everyone basically went to go see the Medabots Championships at the stadium as to be evacuated sooner on, or else there'd be many many deaths. Like at the part where giant Medabee fell down, destroying several buildings. And after all that, the original scientist is supposedly an alien, along with that Brandon dude, and takes the evil scientist away with him. Initially I thought the original doctor died and he came back from heaven. I was like "Uhhhh..." Nope, aliens.

So after knowing that there were more episodes of Medabots, I decided to watch episode 53. Boy, was I in for something alright, something bad. The animation was so, frozen, like, there's no emotion shown in any of the characters. The very first episode of season 3 (episode 53), I had a hard time watching the whole thing. Ikki was voiced by a girl, several characters removed from the show, doesn't even explain like, if it's a sequal or what. With the voices, I first thought it was a prequel, heh. Anyways, not gonna watch any of season 3 Medabots. Just, ugh. And where's the cops to respond to that rogue Medafighter? He's making his not shoot at people, what the f***.

So that was Medabots. I spent around 6 hours today on Terraria. That's actually less than yesterday. I spent the majority of today just farming hardmode ores, unlocking hardmode, pirate invasion, slime rain, still preparing for Mech boss fights. Anyways, it is like, really late, and hot, sooo, see you tomorrow.

Tuesday, June 30, 2015 "My Body is Ready for 1.3."

Tuesday, June 30, 2015
Week: 46
Songs to Remember: Soft Shock - Yeah Yeah Yeahs

I woke up early today to play the newest update to Terraria, 1.3, early. I woke up at 9:30 AM, got ready and stared at my Steam Library screen, hoping to see it download. I was told to restart Steam and BAM, I see the download finish and my body was ready.

After finding out that there would be exclusive items available only from bosses in Expert Mode worlds, I decided to jump right ahead and start off with Expert Mode. Started out, ehhhh, okay. Then it got rough. Then rougher. My survivability was going down, while my stress level went up.

When I read through the changelog for 1.3, it did not say that enemies would have increased health and damage. None at all. But whadya know, I'm sitting here having to kite away from slimes and murdered by cave bats, CAVE BATS. Even some of the enemies were made so cheap on Expert Mode. Like when Medusas kept on petrifying me off-screen. I didn't know what to do, I didn't know what was happening. I had only 120 health and I was having my health halved 'till I was dead.

And when I finally found out the problem (discovered that it was by a Medusa), I go to fight it, only to find out she has 400 health. What. The. F***. After countless attempts of trying to just, survive underground, hoping to find enough heart crystals to max out my health for now so I can at least not die in 2 hits, I had enough and Expert Mode wasn't letting me have any fun for my 1st Terraria 1.3 experience. So, I switched to normal mode.

It was a 5 hour session, of me spending in Expert Mode. It then became another 5 hour session, except this time it was for normal mode. Much more progress, much more progress. I guess I'll familiarize myself with strategies and whatnot and get a feel of 1.3 before I take on Expert Mode. It's not really hard, it's just cheap. You just gotta get lucky, it's all luck really. Unfortunately my luck wasn't so great as I had only 140 health after spending much of my time underground. When I tried venturing off to either side, I was either gang-banged by Crimson mobs, or Jungle mobs.

First impressions of 1.3? Expert mode is not Expert Mode, it's cheapo mode. It's like f***ing Warframe. Same enemies, just that they have more health and damage. The content that they added were much more than I expected. the whole experience feels very new. They even added weapons to support early-game Magic and Melee classes. And Yo-Yo's? I thought they were stupid at first since they didn't really fit in, and that they weren't all that special. I was wrong, it's actually my main weapon right now, heh. Ranged, no mana or ammo usage, knockback, control, all-around good weapon.

Early-game still does feel kinda slow, just lots of farming for materials to make weapons to cheese the Eater of Worlds/ Brain of Cthulu. I wish there were alternatives to that, I don't know. Still can't wait for hardmode. Now that's when the fun starts. Anyways, I played around 10 hours of Terraria today, probably tomorrow too. Sooo, see you tomorrow.
