Week: 28
Songs to Remember: Twilight - Free TEMPO
Three things I'm concerned about: what to expect, what not to expect, and what to do. But my chemistry teacher today, he was all like "It's just high school. Learn to smile". And I'm just like "Ehhhhh".
Smiling when I'm not laughing or hearing something funny is not natural to me. To me it's more of a straight line, and uhh, yeah. I do smile, just, not naturally all the time. Anyways, we finished the movie "Life is Beautiful" in World History. Now, I gotta say, the movie got dark like exactly half-way through the movie. Half of it was joyful comedy, the rest was really, really dark. And yeah, like I said in my last post, there is an essence of some comedy to life the mood, but damn. And the ending was- well, unexpected to say the least.
Well, not necessarily the ending, but the part near the ending. If you don't want spoilers, skip this paragraph. Spoilers in three, two- f***ing why did they have to kill Guido, man. You couldn't have let him live too? And why didn't he fight back? He was alone with the Nazi soldier, he could have used like, a distraction (I mean, he's gotten into a lot of shenanigans shown in the first half of the film, as well as some trickery like with the hats), and like, fought the dude for the gun. But no, he didn't. I mean, I guess he didn't expect to be executed, but I mean, there was no one there. Oh, and what really concerned me, was that it was like, the night before the camp was rescued by the Americans. He couldn't have survived like, a bit longer? And I, oh man, I was really expecting Guido to pop out of that tank. Oh and that doctor riddle dude. I mean, Guido could'a had a deal with the guy, that he'd help him solve the riddle of he got him and his family out of there. Ah, whatever.
So, it was a good movie in my opinion. Funny, depressing, and Roberto Benigni's acting was fun. I give it a 9/10. But that's not the only movie I watched today (oh thank you based teacher). We're watching a movie now in English class. It's like the rest of the movies we've watched: we take notes. This time, we're watching "Whale Rider". I'm like "Ohhhhh nooooooo". As soon as I saw that it wasn't animated, it was to do with a family and theirson/daughter and swimming or ocean related, god. I just don't like those kinds of movies. My opinion so far agrees with IGN. 0/10, too much water.
Anyways, it's about this family, a stubborn grandpa, a daughter who I mistook for a boy (no offense, just the haircut), aaaand stubborn people. Also, half the movie's in another language. There's not even subtitles for that language. Also, they switch languages like it was fluent. One moment, they speak only New Zealand (Maori or something, I have no knowledge whatsoever on their language. Hawaiian?", the next, they're speaking fluent English, and for no reason too. Ah well, sure is better than group work *shudders*.
So Chemistry. Yeah. Very, pretty boring, not, gonna, lie. I gave the teacher dude my AP form for him to sign since I didn't get him to sign my green schedule paper. Umm, he said "Wise choice". And I was like "Aiiigghht". Yes, I do believe AP Bio will be better for me, and I'm hoping I most likely won't regret it. Anyways, P.E. I'm doing weights. During roll coll, I was like "Ay, it's that one girl from my uh, previous weights class". I was like "Okay plot gods, don't do me dirty again and have my roll coll spot be like, 10 spots away from her". And well, this time it worked. I am number 39, aaand she is number 38. Wow. Sooo, I'm guessing I'm supposed to make conversations, right? That's, why they've given me this chance? Aight, I'll see what I can do. And as always, if I talk about wanting to talk to someone beforehand on a post, I probably won't. I just gotta do it in the moment.
Math. Test on Thursday. And, Zi, appears to be sick. Still here, just sick. And apparently, she got me sick too. Thanks a lot Zi. Also, work right now in math, the lessons are fairly straight forward, no random complex s*** in there. Not yet at least. Chinese, uhhh, no test today. That's, nice. For the most part. And of course, the teacher tells us that we're changing seats. She tells us right after class ends. Yeah. When she told us that, everyone was like "Nooo" including Zi. And now, because I talked about how I was gonna talk to her about the note thing, I didn't. But, today, she didn't write a note thingy. Umm, I saw her writing some stuff, but it was just like, one or two words, of the vocabulary we were going over. So, maybe she just remembers stuff by writing it down once? I most likely was over thinking it yesterday. Going too deep, when it's just like "I'm actually just taking notes".
So, this week's going well so far. I'm still fearing for the worst, especially if we get to pick our own seats tomorrow, but I can't get a seat next to that one girl. And well, today was the last day I'll probably be sitting next to Zi. I mean, we'll still be like, walking from 5th to 6th, but you know. I just gotta remind myself: "There's nothing more about it". Or maybe, "Don't be on with her". Yeah, that's more like it. Also, ehh, Yue (almost forgot the name) apparently hangs out like, 10 feet away from where I hang out. She talks to her friends at a spot now, rather than walking around with, whoever. I'm expecting pictures this week. Including the dance. Anyways, see you tomorrow.
