Week: 28
Songs to Remember: Pretty - Infinite H, BAAAM - Dynamic Duo, Go Nowhere - Infinite H, Twilight - Free TEMPO, Mileage, Jung Yong Hwa

I just realized there's more to the purpose of this dance other than to just raise money for awareness for MNT. That teens can use this as a way for parents to say yes to go dancing and partying rather than studying. "Why aren't you spending the night studying? You should be studying" "But mom, I'm saving the children hereee"

Alright, so it's 3:39 PM right now, and, I'm getting a bit over-hyped here. I just need to calm down, wait for the experience, calm down, wait for the experience. Also, it's semi-formal. SEMI-F***ING-FORMAL, remind myself that. Nothing to worry 'bout. In the meantime, while just, wasting time before that 6:00 PM start to go time, I'll do the regular. World History, umm, went over notes again, took some notes, and, that was it. Very, very relaxing. English, we had a sub today aaaand we just got in our groups again and discussed some articles. Oh- and f***, I just remembered that we have a story to read over the weekend. Ehhhh.

So a miracle happened in Chemistry today right. I knew I was ready for the test, got everything I need (if I need it, which I did) on my notes-sheet. I was taking the test, then came across these questions. They were about finding the new boiling points/freezing points of some compounds and whatever. I was like "Huh, I don't remember how to do this". So I look on my notes-sheet and I'm like "Awww f***, I forgot to write it down last night". I decided to just do my best and guess the best. In my opinion, I'm a very good guesser, I pick the most logical looking answers. I guessed on them (about 4 of them. They were 3 points each. Ouch) and moved on to the free-response questions.

The free-response questions seemed fairly easy. I was hoping there wouldn't be any of those boiling/freezing point questions on the free-response, but of course, there were. I was like "F***, how am I gonna guess on this". But then I looked at the question and the numbers they gave me, and I sorta remembered the formula, and since the numbers they gave me were just like the questions about molarity, which I knew how to do, I assumed you just do the molarity and multiply by the constant for boiling/freezing. I went back to the multiple choice part where I guessed, did what I did, and see if my answer was one of the choices. And it was. I was like "Oh my god, is this the current-test clutch".

So yeah, I think I got those right. That was amazing though, that I figured out how to do them DURING the test (hopefully it was close to correct). Anyways, P.E is getting me sore arms and legs again. Math, we received our quizzes back today. 76/100. Ssssssss, oooh. Not bad, considering all the Trig class averages were like around 70, buuuut, could've been better. And finally, Chinese. Uhhhh, Vh was here today. We just went over some vocabulary for lesson 8, I finished work in class, aaand now here I am, 3:58 PM.

I'll make some last minute writing before I make me way. Makin' my way downtown, walkin' fast, faces pass, and I'm homebound. Alright, clothes somewhat fit (somwhat), 6:12 PM, don't wanna go too early, don't wanna arrive on time. Just wanna arrive at the right time. Which, is probably gonna be 6:45-ish, or so. I'll cotninue this post once I get back. God damn my mom put too much cologne on me.
-----------------------------
Well. I am now definitely, thanful for that cologne. Hehe, yeah. The silence in the car right is really nice for reflecting what just happened, and I'm kinda glad it did, heh.

7:00 PM to 10:00 PM is ALOT, longer than I expected. For some it goes by quickly, for me, damn. I don't think I ever danced in my life. Well, at least with others. Except that one time at that bootleg science camp in 5th grade, but that doesn't really count. Anyways, I got a lot of explaining to do.

Alright, so during the car ride, I felt my heart beating faster and I'm like "Drew, calm, the f***, down". As we were approaching the place, I was expecting it to be a lot bigger. I visualized it as like, having huge steps like that one place in Washington D.C. But nope, it was a very small complex, looked like a lirbary, really. Outside it was fairly cold. The parking lot was right in front, my parents dropped me off, and I went in. The atmosphere: it was fairly mellow, I thought that there would be more people, turns out there wasn't. By the way this is my initial reactions and stuff, I'll be covering post-dance stuff towards the end.

So I walk in, I'm looking for Cd, I'm looking for the ticket place, and I found the ticket place. That's not the only thing I found. As I was picking up my ticket (I signed up for the dance online), just to my left, I see Cd. I'm like "Well this was easier than I expected". So the ticket people found my name, got me my ticket, then marked a heart on my hand for authentication purposes, then u go over to Cd (who was like, the initial person letting people in to the dance room) and said "Hi, are you CD?" She replies "Yeah. Wait, *sigh*, you're Andrew!" I'm like "Yeah, heh" and she's like "OMG, I need to tell Jn! I'll catch up with you later!" and I'm like "Aight, heh". So I'm thinking "Alright, alright".

I sit down at an empty table (all the tables were empty pretty much), and just, absorbing the atmosphere. I'm sitting there and my old buddy (who I was not expecting to show up actually, kinda forgot about her, heh), Ct, well, another Ct (not the one at my school), comes up to me and she's like "Hey, you're Andrew!" and I'm like "Yeah" and she's like "Do you remember me?" I reply "Yeah, you're Crystal right?" So she's like "What school do you go to now?" and I'm like "*insert school name here*" or something. I don't remember what was said after that.

I was still sitting in the same place, I see that there's a DJ and there was like bootleg lights and stuff. I just reminded myself "Absorb the atmosphere". And I was. Then, some people from my school came and I was still sitting there. I see that they were getting food so I was like "Aight". There was a lot of stuff, lots of fatty chips and cookies, perfect for burning them calories when dancing, heh. So I'm there, I finish my cookie, a few people are dancing, Cd's just trying to hype people up to dance, and I'm seriously, just trying to absorb the atmosphere by walking around, looking around.

Seeing as I'm just wandering there, this dude comes over to me and he's like "Hey, wanna play 'Sorry!' with us?" and I'm like "Sure". I'm guessing this'll be more than just absorbing the atmosphere. I'm sitting there, at the table, about 5 other people there too, aaaand some people leave. This girl's like "Aight, aight, I'll come down to the dance floor in like 10 minutes, or when my song comes on". We do about 3 turns of Sorry! and then she and the rest go off to dance. So I'm like "Aight, that was it". Board games became out of the question for me, mostly becausr no one can hear eachother and it's dark. But then, uhhh, I'll just make her name, uh, Nt. Nt, the girl who's like, aight, and hugged me during the beginning year's Table Tennis P.E class when I was returning her jacket after she forgot it. She's an active member of the Interact club and Key club stuff, and being just naturally friendly in general, she was like "Hey Drew" and I was like "Heyyy".

She starts introducing me to her friends, who are probably other active club members, and uh, we decided to take a group picture, just people from our high school. After that, we went to take another group picture outside. Nt came over to me while I was still sitting in the chair and she's like "Come on Drew" and led me along with the group. We did the "arms around each other" stance as to prevent awkward arms. After the that, we went back in to take another picture, but by the professional group picture taker-er  So, as we were gonna take the picture, I see the photographer. Yep, Jt. Well, this is just set out right for me, huh? She pretty much looks the same as I remember her. I went up to her after we were done taking the pics and said "Hey, are you Jt?" and she's like "Yeah. Oh my gosh, Drew! It's been so long, hey! What school do you go to now?" and I'm like "*Insert school name*" and she's like "Oh, *school name*. I thought you moved to like, Canada or something, LOL".

So yeah. I think this was time where we decided to dance. Again, Nt led me again with the group. I just, danced. Started with just, I don't know, moving my body. I never really "danced" before, so, I just tried to move according to the rhythm of the song. So I'm there right, this girl of the group's all like "Hi, what's your name?" and I'm like "Drew". She asks "Do you play League?" and I'm like "Yeah". She then proceeds to ask me for my League name. I then proceed to give her my League name. And I'm just like "That just happened. Is this a fake dance?" Anyways, we danced for a bit after that, took breaks, met some other people there like this one dude in the group, he was like something, something, can't remember, "Have you ever been to a dance before?" He's- he's not saying it disrespectfully, just wondering, by the way. I was like "Yeah".

We went in and out frequently for some reason, one person suggested we do Twister, and we did. For a bit. People started wandering other places and that was it for twister. Breaks consisted of either going to the ticket area/picture place/lobby and just stand around, for some reason. Other tines we'd go to the lone fan at the side and just dance there for the fresh breeze. Other tines, we'd go to the snack table and re-hydrate and all that. Surprisingly, there actually was a pitcher of fruit punch. I thought they only existed fictionally, but apparently they're real, heh. 'Cause you know, every dance has to have a punch bowl or something. As far as the dancing went, I just went with the flow. Literally. Just, moved my body to the music, and/or do what everyone else is doing. It's fairly easy to get into it. I also examined how the dancing was set and there were some (and by some, I mean a lot) of groups at first. It then became some more bigger crowds, still definite groups though. Towards the end, you could see a big crowd, some smaller groups (us), and really small groups.

The music choice was... interesting to say the least. With the songs that I sent in on their song suggestion forms, I thought there would be more EDM and the like. No, heh, boy was I wrong. Lots, and lots, of rap. Ranging from classics like Usher's "Yeah" (seriously, that thing is immortal) and Soulja Boy's "Crank That", to newers ones like " Jason Derulo's "Wiggle" and Nicki Minaj's "Anaconda" (that was requested by my Nt). That reminds me. When the song "Wiggle" came on, uhhh (I didn't get that girl's name. I'll just her Sn temporarily), An was like "Hey, *something something related to* Hello Venus' 'Wiggle' song!" and I was like "Oh, yeah!" and she was like "You listen to K-Pop too?" And I'm like "Yeah" and she's like, with her friends, "OMG he listens to K-Pop!" And I'm just like "Again? Really? This is seriously happening right now".

Umm, so yeah. I just danced, did whatever everyone else was doing and I gotta say, going from sitting calmly, breathing and absorbing the atmosphere, to really feeling the atmosphere for myself. Oh and as for dancing, whatever movements, as long as they're going along with the music, can be considered dancing really. I actually learned a lot more dances from this than I probably my ever will, heh. There were some birthday singing, some, ehh, "rap battles", dance battles, etc, etc. Our group didn't pay much attention to it. I noticed that our group people didn't really want to join the big crowd and would rather have others join us instead. Aight. But yeah, no EDM at all. Just straight bootleg songs.

I tried looking for Zi, as she did come, but I couldn't find her. Ehhh. Oh yeah, when I was sitting, I wanted to find out what time it was. It didn't occur to me that I had a phone at the time, heh. I looked around and I'm like "Why-why are there no clocks in here". Out in the lobby too, I was like "Okay, no clocks in her". Only did I find the big roman numeral clock at the top of the dance floor walk did I notice that it was only 8:30 PM, as I was dancing. I was like "Oh my god, this is gonna be forever". Yeah, I didn't think I was gonna be that sweaty 'cause I didn't expect to be dancing, heh. Thank god I only had on two layers only. My mom wanted me to wear a sweater over my striped dress shirt (no idea what you call them) and have the collar stick out to make it "fashionable enough". This one dude in our group, the dude who asked me if I had ever attended a dance before, had on like, 4 layers. I was like "Damn, that dude got f***ed".

No grinding, surprisingly. Well, not surprisingly. I just expected it when the bootleg songs came on that were fit for it, like, "Booty Meat Down" by Kstylis. God, I can't believed I danced to that song. Never in a million centuries, to the end of time, would I have thought I danced to that song. Also, the dancing here wasn't like one-on-one stuff or like a rave or anything. It was more of just an in-between really. I mean, you got groups. That was about it. And they did play the "Chacha Slide". It attracted a lot, and I mean a lot, of people to dance. Weird how that song can control so many hot and sweaty teens.

So yeah, not like a rave at all. Not like a one-on-one dance like in movies at all. A song comes on, your group dances to it, usually one person does a specific move specific to the song, others follow. Also, physical contact. I think there was more physical contact there that I have had, in those 3 hours, than I would ever have in like, 3 months. Lots of shoulder hugging or whatever it's called. Putting your arms around someone's shoulder and doing a group dance thing, or taking pictures. Also, I saw some people wearing heels. After experiencing dancing, I was like "How could you force yourselves to dance while wearing those, like, damn".

A lot of different people from different schools were here. A lot of different people. A lot of the girls from other schools were fairly tall, up at about my height level, some even taller. For our group, a majority of it was just girls. About, ehhh, 6 girls, 3 dudes (including me)? Very small group. Oh, and uh, as Nt and some other people were taking pictures, I see that one of those people was Ky, another old buddy of mine. Didn't expect him to be here though. He's fairly taller than me. Still looked the same as I remember him though. I went up to him when I got the chance and was like "Hey, are you Ky?" and he replies "Yeah" and I'm like "I'm Drew. You remember me?" He didn't at first. He was trying to remember the s*** we did in elementary school. I could barely remember s***. He also was thinking of Drew Nguyen instead of Drew Tran. I'm like "Nah, it's Tran". He recalled some stuff that he seemed to remember, I didn't though. I didn't remember the stuff that he remembered, probably was about somebody else. Oh wells.

After some more dancing, hey, it finally finished. Only after they announced that there was "15 minutes left". Like, by that point I was like "Dear god how do people survive raves then?" And then they turned on the lights and it became turn down for 10:00 PM. We lingered around for a couple minutes, taking some last minutes pictures. I also understand a little bit now of how taking group pictures work. I was in them, heh. Soon, Ky came back and (probably after consulting with Cd or something) he was like "Hey, so you are Drew, huh". He also described this one memory where he came to my house one time and played Pokémon. With that, I did remember that time when he went to my house once. Except, it wasn't Pokémon but Beyblade. Close enough. I was like "Oh yeah, I remember that". That was cool. I didn't remember that memory until now. He's like "You look different than I remember. Did you war glasses before?" I was like "Nope". Maybe that was what was throwing him off.

I was a bit saddened by how, after meeting with my old buddies and just having a quick Hi and Bye, after about, 5 years or so. But during the dancing, I reminded myself, "Drew. Come on now, don't bum yourself out, you're having fun so keep having it". I guess that was that. Seeing them again was alright enough, no need to drag on old strands. Near the end when I was about to leave, seeing as how there wasn't anything left to do, Sn was like "Hey, what school do you go to?" And I'm like "*Insert school name here*". She's like "Hey, she goes to *insert school name* too!" to her friends. She then asked "Are you a Sophomore?" And I'm like "Yeahh". And that was that. Nt leaves, apparently, and so did I.

I sat in the car, it was pretty silent, less traffic this time. By that time, I think I was too tired and sleepy to feel the energy anymore more. I was like "I got a lot to write about". And well, here it is. I gotta say, it wasn't what I expected. I think it was because of Nt's acceptance, with me tagging along and becoming part of the group, I was able to experience the real thing rather than just, watching the experience. So, I'd like to thank her for that. As for everything else, all I have to say is "Wiggle wiggle wiggle". To ger started dancing, just wiggle. Oh god, that reminded me how they playes the "Little Einsteins" rap mix whatever.

As I was walking out, I was like "See ya Jt" and she was like "Bye Drewww". Yeah, that was it. I think that all was descriptive enough, to my memoy. Met a lot of people though. The best part: after playing a League game with my buddies tonight at 12:01 AM, I looked at my notifications on League. She added me. See you tomorrow.
