Songs to Remember: When I'm Small - Phantogram

Yooo, I just found out Neil Armstrong is dead. All this time I thought he was still alive, but nope. Wow, what a bummer. I was having a good day too. Just kidding, I got hit with an orange and almost got water dunked on me.

For World History we finished watching the documentary. Spoilers, King Louis dies and so does Robespierre. English, I got a lot of work (mostly projects) to finish (or start). Oh and at our school, there are announcements during the beginning of 2nd period everyday. The announcers (who are us students. We can audition to be announce readers each semester) always (most of the time at least) end the announcements with a bootleg joke. I think today's joke was about dogs or something. Yesterday's joke was "How many tickles does it take to make an octopus laugh? Tentacles!" And everyone just groans. See what I mean by bootleg?

So uh, Chemistry was actually kinda boring today. We took notes, went over homework, aaand worked on a worksheet on Charles, Boyles, Gay-Lusaac's (that's his name) law, and the combined-gas law. And uh, yeah. No experiment for today. Now, I was expecting for there to be a quiz today for P.E, but the teacher was like "So guys, ibgit some good news and some bad news. Which one do you wanna hear first?" and everyone was like "Bad news" 'cause like, hearing the bad news first allows the good news to compensate for the bad.

So he was like "The bad news is, I forgot to make copies of the quiz we're supposed to have today. It's my bad, I forgot and I take full responsibility for it". Then people are like " So what's the good news?" And he was like "Oh the good news is you guys don't have to run your warm-up lap today". And I'm just like "W-what?" Bootleg news, I swear.

Well, lunch was fine. It was only until I was walking to my 5th period Algebra II/ Trig class located at the L-building where things went downhill. I was walking to my class, I'm in the high traffic area place of the L-building just walking to my class, I get hit hard on my left shoulder. It was orange. A somewhat peeled orange too 'cause there're still stains and orange remnants on my left backpack shoulder strap. It was hard to believe it happened at first, for a split second, it took me a while for my mind to process what happened. S*** like this, or s*** in general, doesn't happen to me often.

And then realized, I just got hit in the shoulder by someone who threw an orange. Also, girls scream when s*** like this happens. I hear people behind saying "That dude just got with an orange". And uh, the person that threw it probably is on the baseball team or something 'cause that was a pretty hard throw. It was thrown from behind and there were so many people so there was not point in trying to identify the dude who threw it at me. I just kept walking like "Well, that just happened. There's a first for everything. Better check off 'Get hit in the shoulder by an orange' on the list".

And so there was an intruder drill today. I over heard my P.E teacher talk about it so yeah. The teacher had us get under the desk and barricaded the doors with desks. I saw this one person studying and I was "F***". I tried to sleep but sitting under a tiny desk like like that doesn't really offer any comfortable room.

After that, we took the quiz on factoring, completing the square, and the quadratic formula. I probably got a C or lower. She only gave us 10 MINUTES. She couldn't have let me have like 2 more minutes and I'd be fine. Now because of that, uwasnt able to finish a couple questions and I get deducted all credit for em'. And now that grade reflects my " knowledge" on the subject. Nope, it reflects how fast we do it. I understand it, I could do it, but I make sure I check my work to be sure in right, and to show all my work 'cause of how picky she is on equal signs. She can't get enough of them equal signs.

Time is probably the one thing holding me back. Anyways, I was walking out the door and going to my next class and about a few meters from the door was this spilled mess on the floor. I didn't want to walk in it, so I walked the left of it and that meant I wasn't under the overhang of the second floor. And so I was walking about a few feet from the mess and right in front of me, water poured down from someone on the second floor.

Now I wouldn't have noticed it if it weren't for these two girls screaming next to me from the sight of the falling water. It wasn't much, only like a bottle full, but it's water nonetheless. I was like "Either someone's out to get me, or I'm just having the s****iest luck today. And I don't know if that mess was there for me to walk into the open or not, but if it was, that would be been some crazy planning. And what are the coincidences that I get hit with an orange and almost get water poured on my on the same day? I was like "If one more s****y thing happens to me today, I'm just going to straight to the office and be like "May I see the assistant principal please".

Luckily, there wasn't. I'm walking to Chinese class for 6th period and I'm just thinking like " I hate my life". But to be honest, I was only thinking that JUST to think about something. In actuality, yeah I so kinda hate my life, but something s****y like getting hit by and orange or almost get dunked by water is just stupid ass shenanigans. And it's just like whatever. I could care less, and I kinda do.

So like I said, I was walking to the last class of the day, I'm hot, tired, arms sore, and feeling gloomy. And while I was thinking about all that, I didn't notice El contually waving at me from the door of the classroom until about 2 seconds later and her smile and positive feeling, I was like "Yo, her smile sorta made up for all the bad s*** that happened to me today. But did it really? Ehhh....".

And so she's like "New seats!" And I'm like "Yes, new seats!". I go into the classroom and there's a box of paper slips with numbers on em'. Whenever we go into the classroom, there's an attendance sheet and we check ourselves in. Pretty cool method of taking attendance. The attendance sheet is always in the front, on the seat of the tables near the door. I enter the classroom and see El sitting in seat 1, which is right there with the box and attendance sheet. I was hoping, just hoping, praying even, to RNGesus this time, that I would get a seat near her. There's an empty seat next to her so I'm like "Please, please, please".

I wanted to be fair (I like yo be fair. Cheating is not with my time. Most of the time. But only in videogames) and so I didn't look in the box for the seat number to sit next to her, so I just picked up a paper faced down, picked it up, looked at it, and showed it to El. Seat number 2 baby! OH BABY A DOUBLE. Buuuut it's actually the seat behind her, cause it's coutbing down through columns. But it's still fine, I'm in the table group, which are every 4 tables.

The girl sitting next to me was... a lot RL of course. I sat down and she was like " Are you my partner?" and I'm like "Yep". Then she's like "Are you Chinese?" And I'm like "I'm Vietnamese". And then she's like " Are you a freshman?" And I'm like "I'm a sophomore". And I was just thinking like "Oh, we're asking the important questions here. Not bad not bad, I like it". And so our group is that girl, me, El, and this one dude who's pretty cool and has the same name as the main character of Dead Space.

We did Chinese bingo and I won (along with like, 7 other people). We did the Chinese test today (wait, did we? Was that yesterday? F***, I cannot remember. No wait, no that was yesterday. I think. Pretty sure it was yesterday. And um, yeah. I didn't go to KDT after school 'cause I just wanted to go home and wasn't in the mood for dancing, considering what happened so far. But El's smile though. So cheerful.

And I have yet to find a jumbo sized Pikachu plush. Anyways, I gotta wake up early tomorrow (or today actually. It's 1:21 AM right now 'cause I've been at this for like, an hour now) to do homework and get a haircut. The only times I get a haircut are when I start liking the length of my hair. My arms are still sore. And uh yeah. Count how many "and"s I used throughout by his entire thing. So uh, I guess I'll see you tomorrow.
