Week: 38
Songs to Remember: Yolo - Madtown
I'm almost there, almost getting past the threshold of not having to worry about grades (as much) anymore and worry about tying ends and scheduling events.
Psych, we finished the movie. The ending wasn't that great, it was an alright movie, nothing too flashy or "wow"-ing. 6/10 for "The Soloist." English, which is now my #1 hated class. We basically talked a bit about "The Catcher in the Rye," picked up our copies, that's it. Also, turns out, our essay grade for that feminist essay is part of our final. Thanks for telling us that... days after we took the test and had it graded.
Also the grades for our other essays are just going into like, the lesser category. Gee, thanks. I'm serious, his past is why he's fucking us over so hard. So now, instead of worrying about maintaining the grades I have, I gotta dedicate some time to re-writing my essay next week. Thanks. Anyways, Bio was another work day. The teacher actually put in the grades for our final exam (what a surprise) and I looked to see that my grade went down 5 fucking percent.
Not even exaggerating, it went from a 70% to a 65%. I looked at the report on it and the final she put in is only out of 5. Like, literally, 5 points. As in like, she's using the AP score grade. Really? Something that costs so much in terms of percentage of our final grade and she makes it a pass or fail. Really? Even a 3 is considered an F, because it's by 20%. A 1/5 is a 20%, 2/5 is 40%, and a 3//5 is 60%, and so on. So, if you wanted a B, you'd have to get a fucking 4 on it, which is only around, 10% of the students here. Maybe even less, I don't know.
I expressed my opinions on this utter shit, along with others from our CANCER group chat. Even their grades fell hard, both 5% and 7%. Luckily, though, she fixed it and made it (I suppose) curved and with our raw score. So, with that, it's now a 63/100 and my grade is now a 69%. Unfortunately, that's still a D+. So, looks like I'll be begging on my knees on Monday (well shit, Tuesday actually since there's AP testing on Monday) to the teacher to let me turn in some missing shit (aka, the outlines) to give me that extra percent to change it to a C-. Then I'll never have to worry about fucking Biology ever again, heh.
And no, anatomy is different, there's less shitty questions and just more facts. Anyways, math was the usual, lunch was the usual, and History, was the usual. By that I mean we finished watching "All the President's Men," which was a nice movie, very thrilling, nice actors, well-written story, even if it is based on real events. I'd give it an 8/10, it was interesting to me, not sure for anyone else in class, heh. And finally Chinese, where we worked on online shit, due Saturday.
Alright, so here's the plan. I'ma start writing my speech for Monday (of which hopefully the AP test will be finished by then. It's 3 hours long, but we won't start 'till 8:00 AM unfortunately, and there's a break, and there's time afterwards for wrapping shit up, so, it'll be close). Tomorrow there is fortunately no school so that day I'll like, do practice questions for the SAT on Saturday I guess. Not something I'm looking forward to, but, ya gotta do what ya gotta do.
Then on Sunday, get my begging robes out of the closet, prepare for the bending over of the last time for a couple percents in English and Biology. Then uh, get ready to just get fucked on the AP Bio exam which I don't even wanna do anymore. Aaand, then, prepare for Judge KDT, starring me, and, some other people. Also, uhh, next week I'll have to start on writing those letters for the senior KDT members.
Once I reach that C- in Bio, I'm home-free essentially. I don't have to study or worry about Chinese, no need to worry about US History at all, done with Bio and Psych, all that's left is math and English, which shouldn't take TOO much dedication since the final will be based on quotes and bootleg questions for English, and for math, ehhh, my grade won't change that much if I do shit, soo. There you have it.
It's 10:57 PM, if I get a good ball rolling for my speech, I can save it for later and just go to bed, maybe watch 1 movie I've wanted to watch. Maybe. Anyways, see ya. And yes, I've been having 1-hour Isaac session each day, about an hour. Yeah it kinda sucks, but, I gotta nothing to grind on. Like, in terms of gaming, haven't went too hard in terms of that time of casualization in a while (casualization?) Alright, see ya.
