Week: 26
Songs to Remember: Hit It - Bubble X
The long awaited break, it's finally here. I'm not even sure if this is even spring break, maybe we'll have spring break too along with this "ski break." Seriously, there's no term I can find online for "ski breaks." And it's not only our school district, a couple others nearby are also having it as well.
And yes, yes, I know it's close to Valentine's day. I actually didn't know it was close until I saw a Conan video clip from 2011. Apparently Valentine's day is on the 14th, I look at the date and it's the fucking 11th. I'm like "Holy shit." Previous Valentine's days, aw man, those were the shit. Partially because no shit happened, heh. I mean, it's more of a niche thing to be honest, it's nothing comparable to Christmas or whatever. The only thing I've done so far in celebration of Valentine's day is play Maplestory and doing Valentine's day events, along with making a bootleg Valentine's day heart in Chinese today.
Anyways, lets get on with it. Psychology was just a multiple choice portion of our Chapter test. Our FRQ is just a take-hone one. Yeah we can like, have a PC to help us with the terms, look in our textbook, etc. The real part is the practice, and it only benefits us if we do it legit so, yeah. The teacher knows what she's doing, she teaches AP Psychology. Also I gotta work on the project report paper, due in like, a week and a half. For English, we uhh, not really sure what we did for a majority of the class. Oh wait, we uhh, looked at eachother's posters, aaand then individual groups presented theirs. Luckily my group didn't volunteer, or were picked. Hopefully we don't have to go, like those who didn't have to present their Scarlet Letter Artworks. Oh and uh, a week long break ain't complete without a reading assignment, right? We gotta read book 2 of Beloved. Aka, 1/3 of the whole "book."
The teacher said not to do it all in one sitting. The girl next to me said "I'm just gonna do it all in one sitting." I could probably dedicate like, 3 fucking hours to one sitting as well. Just let the audio book play nonstop. Break, was the usual again. I'm not fully bored yet, hanging out with some old buddies at the old spot. Maybe I'll hit up Yn again on texts. Not sure what she's doing for a while, umm, she hasn't been active on Facebook or Instagram. I didn't really pay attention 'till I saw her once, or, two times within a month. I was like "Damn man, 100% Chance of Bad was a hot fucking series."
Getting off track a bit, Biology was just a free period again. We get these worksheets, which are not due, at all, just for practice if we wanna do 'em. Everyone's pretty much like "Yeah, I don't think I'ma do it." Same goes me, heh. I just got started in advance on math work, which I did finish. 4th period, if you're in a specific set of buildings, you get to go to the first rally for today. Yes, there was a rally. And yes, I did go to the 1st one (the gym can't fit every single student so the rally is repeated twice for everyone to experience) with DrewN and Vb. And we met sat down with, basically the whole cast again. Jk, Ek, Ag, Lw (or was it Ls? Can't really remember the name). The rally's theme this time was like, Willy Wonka themed. The MC's were dressed up as OG Willy Wonka, the other an Oompa Loompa. The games the teachers and students played were pretty pitiful, cringey on some parts, heh. There a couple dance performances, a sort of "rememberance" to this one studnet who passed due to cancer about a couple months ago or so. What was awkward was because it was right in the middle of the rally. They got us all hyped, then have it be really depressing, then they hyped it up again.
Rallies are generally pretty shit anyways. After it ended, we went back to class, it was math time where we did the usual lesson, got our quizzes back, I got a 69/85. Not as good as I'd like it to be, I got some stupid shit wrong, which apparently cost a lot of fucking points. After class was lunch, where it was the usual. Again, heh. The cast is pretty much busy with like, tutoring, or, Badminton practice. So, we still gotta find a time where we're all free to have one of those nice parties or "game nights" again. And it's not to say I'm not busy either, okay, heh. I got 3 dances to learn/practice, 1 of which is one I already know but need to refine still, 1 which I learned today, and I gotta self-learn 1, with it being my 1950 dance (I chose the Hand Jive as it seemed the least violent and cool one out of the options). All that, on top of some projects. And general, prep.
Also forgot to mention, all classes were like 5 minutes shorter today due to the rally, so, wooo. US History was just research day, get planned on what the project we're gonna do. During that time, I was just like "Fucking god, I'm sick of working with miniatures and fucking foamboard" so uh, I chose the dance. One, because it's a dance, and two, there's no paper work. You gotta know the history a bit, but generally you just gotta learn it and be able to teach it. Also, Js (is that the name I had for her back in So Don't Be on with Her? I think so, either that or it was Jb) is gonna recognize me as like a committed peron for KDT, that I could self-teach a dance, and be able to teach it to others.
And finally Chinese, where we just read, and, talk, and, cut hearts out of red cardstock and write a Chinese character on it. I wrote "dance party" by the way. After school was KDT practice, including "evaluations," and uh, practice. They did it in 3 groups, we get two tries. I noticed that I missed some parts of the song, because either we weren't taught it, I don't remember it, or I didn't catch it in the dance video. Which included this foot stomping thing, umm, and the beginning pivot thing for Twice's "Ooh-Ahh." I was the last group, and uh, we only had to get at least 80% of the dance. At least. I tried my best, and they haven't posted who passed and who got cut on the Facebook page yet. If I do get cut, it's whatever. If not, gotta get my ass to refine this shit, heh. The dance we learned today was the dance from SUBOI's "Tro Choi." Yea, it's a Vietpop song, yes it was apparently difficult because the lyrics and beat throw people off, even Js, the one who learned it and instructor for it. It was a lot to take, even if we only worked for an hour on it. We covered like, 75% of the dance basically, for what we're including in our full show performance anyways.
I got the first 70% down of what we were taught, the rest I kinda had to rely on Js and others, because the moves seemed too similar and so I got confused a few times. But, nothing a little practice at home can't fix. And yes, apparently I did sign up for this one. Anyways, DrewN had conflicts in his schedule so he couldn't come to practice, basically was with Kh the whole time. And uh, yeah, got home, got on League with Dv and Ec, played some Maplestory, and write this post for an hour basically. It's 1:15 AM now, I started at like 12:30 AM or something. KDT practice on Tuesday and Friday, umm, just gonna spend tomorrow relaxing, getting started on some dances, this is gonna be fairly, relaxing week, and was, what I would call the epitome of Fridays. Alright, see ya.
