Songs to Remember: I Don't Like Mondays - The Boomtown Rats

Tell me why? I don't like Mondays. Tell me why? I don't like Mondays. Tell me why? I don't like Mondays.

My English teacher played that song this morning when class started. He then explained that it was a controversial song at the time as it was written off a school shooting. I was like "Oh. Well that's one way to start off the day". And now the song's been stuck in my head the whole day.

Alrighty, now that it's the second season of The Days, I got work, yadda yadda, I won't be writing in every single detail. But, if it's a scene or moment that deserves that kind of detail, I'll do it. So, let's get started. Psychology, we basically just reviewed a bit of stuff with the mnemonic device with the hand and fingers. We also picked psychiatrists to study about and make posters about them. I was going to pick this guy named Edwin G. Boring. It was only because his last name was "Boring", heh.

But then I was like "Damn, it's gonna be kinda tough finding info on this guy". And so I found this one other guy (there was a huge list) named Ivan P. Pavlov. I was like "Oh my god, this is great. I can make a small little meme on the poster with Bane and the scene with Dr. Pavle". You know, because Pavlov and Pavle sound kinda alike. That was literally the only reason why.

I looked up the script from The Dark Knight Rises and Bane doesn't say "Pavel" actually. I was like "Sshhhhit". So now I'm stuck with this dude whom I can barely find info on, heh. English, umm, was fine. The teacher lectured us on The Hero's Journey, where every single movie or story, there's always this base storyline you can find in all of 'em, which is the same for every story. I ended up doing notes yesterday, which was supposed to be today's work. And uh, we're gonna have to do a bootleg 1-paragraph essay thing tomorrow. Apparently everybody's doing this.

Break time, yadda yadda, I just sit at my old spot. 3rd period, AP biology, kinda ehh right now. That was before we had to do a "lab" today and measure fake mice tails. We were supposed to do this in groups, so when I sat at an empty lab table, there was basically nobody. Until, this one dude, I won't give him a name yet since I'm not sure if he'll be relevant yet, but, he was like "Hey, can I work with you?" and I was like "Yeah sure".

He measured the tails, I put it up on the Google spreadsheet with the data. I liked his style. Towards the end where we were finishing up (we already introduced ourselves at this point), he was like "Hey I think I have you added on Facebook" and he pulls up his Facebook on the Chromebook, finds my profile, then de-friends me. He was like "I only have friends on here". Jokingly of course, heh. I was like "Holy shit, this dude is good". I don't even remember adding this guy to be honest. I liked his style though.

Honors Pre-cal was next. Just the same old lesson-a-day thing. Nothing special. Lunch time, I went to my old spot to finish my lunch before heading on over to the lockers where Ek and the new cast always hung out when they weren't walking around. I didn't see them there. I checked on multiple occasions during lunch, I couldn't find them (apparently they went off-campus to get food or something).

I did however, get to chat with my buddy Ad again (whom I did meet in the series premier, I just forgot to mention it. He asked our Chinese teacher during my class period if she needed a TA). He has AP Biology, I asked him what class period, he says 4th. I was like "Fuck it, I'm going to the counselors and scheduling a session during SSR tomorrow to ask to change. Good bye dude from my AP Biology class whom I met today, looks like you won't be developed into a real character on the show, but fuck, I need to switch my 3rd and 4th period classes".

5th period came along, I was falling asleep in SSR (almost). US History was fine, a bit of lecture on the branches of government, and, well, got our textbooks, and well, that was it. Thank the lord I don't have to bring my books to class besides for math. It was fucking HOT today. Anyways, Chinese class brang my spirits up finally. Gave me a bit of hope that my seat didn't TOTALLY, suck. What sucked was this one girl who decided to just switch from Chinese 2 to Chinese 3.

I actually got the chance to talk to her for the first time before she decided to switch. She was in line, I was in line, we were all in line getting our Chinese textbooks. She used me and her friend as choices for an "Eeny Meeny Miny Mo" decision. She was like "Hi" and I was like "Hey, you're Helen right?" and she was like "Yeah, you're Drew right? Nice to meet you" and I was just like "Fucking shit man, she knows me name. Damn". I also had some friendly convos with Zi and Jk as well.

Well, I got a fair amount of notes I gotta do at home now. That's AP for ya. Just kidding, it's only the beginning. And for fuck's sake, stop giving me poster projects man. Shit's boring. Anyways, let's hope I get the ever so hopeful 3rd and 4th period switch at the counselor's office tomorrow (that is, if I can get an appointment at that time). We'll see. So uh, see ya.
