Week: 17
Songs to Remember: Hair (Feat. J-Man) - ATO
You cannot believe how hard it was to find that song. His stage name is just three common letters, and the song name is very generic as well. I looked everywhere for it, find it on Mnet, find out it's not free, and only then do I find it on a bootleg Korean news article site. It was almost as difficult as having people speak up front about things.
World History is seriously wow. My grade went down from an A- to a B+ now. I'm at a 89% on my grade and the only thing left to boost it up is the final exam stuff next week. And of course we're gonna have to answer writing prompts with... You guessed it, writing. Long paragraphs to be exact. Good thing we're allowed to write a full page front and back of notes to use for it all. Along with chemistry. I think. Probbaly. My main concern now is finishing up this project with Yue. We have to glue puzzle pieces to a poster board and each portion of pieces represent different ionic compounds like sodium nitrate and stuff. The difficult part is not figuring it out or whatever it's the sheer amount of cutting and coloring.
We have to color and cut individually each and every piece to be glued on. There are a total of 70 ionic compounds we have to make, sooo, basically we need to have like 140+ pieces, each colored and cut. And they're not all the same size either so I can't just cut out like 5 papers stacked on each other. Never in my life did I ever have to cut and color as much as this. Tomorrow is our last day to work on it in class (we only had yesterday, today, and soon tomorrow). And tomorrow's a short day. The rest we gotta do at home. Not looking forward to the cutting and coloring, especially when I'm trying to take my short naps when I get home. Oh and by the way, Yue saved my a** today. I forgot we even had chemistry homework and I rushed to try to make it look like I did em' all correctly (it was just an ionic compounds worksheet). Luckily, Yue saw my poor soul trying to hurry and offered me to see her paper since I let her see a bunch of mine's before. I was like "Oh my goodness, thank you based Yue". Needless to say, I got that stamp on my "Homework completed" sheet. And sooo, we had a free day today because another class was to use the small gym for dance or something. All we had to do was dress out and walk around the track for 40 minutes.
Normally I'd be okay with this, but since I don't talk to many people in my current P.E class, I was like "S***, can I just do my homework while walking or something?" And so I proceeded to walk for 40 minutes straight while listening to some interesting conversations, like how the way you hold hands determines the type of relationship it is, like fingers clasped like this, or, whatever. Very, very hard to listen to. While walking, I noticed that there was like music coming from the small gym and I was like "Wow, that's some pretty loud music". I thought they just turned it up just to get into the dance (I thought it was a dance class going on). When the P.E bell rang so we could go back and change, I saw that it wasn't a dance class, it was an actual dance. I don't know why there was one. I have no clue whatsoever. It kinda surprised me a bit 'cause I have never been or seen a dance take place before. Oh and while walking around the track, I saw one of my classmates from Algebra II/ Trig. She was the one who I thought was the one messaged me on ask.fm. And soon this becomes relevant. Not the ask.fm part but what is to come.
So I came into class with my clingy friend and I feel pretty confident for the quiz since the lessons it was on were fairly easy to do. Of course, we're seated depending when we came through the door. So, I got seated behind me friend and next to (to the right of me) was that girl from P.E. I'll just call her Zi. So, we first do the lesson for the day, and then we do the quiz. I leave my binder on the floor so I have more room to lay my head down on the desk while I read, by the way. I out NY pencil on the side of my binder. Like, where you see the papers inside. As I was picking up my binder to put it away for the quiz, my pencil dropped from it ('cause I forgot I even put it there in the first place) and it landed right at the feet of Zi's desk. She picked it up for me and I was like "Thanks". I was thinking like "Well, ok".
The quiz was fairly easy. And by that I mean I got lucky. I was supposed to study 7-3 to 7-5 and I thought we only had to study 7-3 to 7-4. Luckily though, that I remembered stuff that was taught in 7-5 and I did sorta well. Out of like, 9 questions, I think I got 7 right. Not bad. I went up to hand in my quiz, handed in my quiz, then sat back down in my seat. Zi starts talking to me like "Hi, what's your name?" And I'm just like "Drew" and she's like "Hey, I'm Zi". Then she says " Do you want to be my friend?" And I was like "Sure". The first thought that popped into my head was " Okay, this just happened". The second thought was "FINALLY, someone said something that I can understand". Not hidden behind metaphors or s***, or going on and on about stuff around, she actually said it straight forward. I can't remember the last time I heard someone said this.
She's then like "Hey, this is my new friend" to her friend who's sitting in front of her. Her friend by the way is my team member in Chinese class. She's in my group. We were all whispering this too just to let you know, since people were still talking the quiz. Zi and I have only talked once before and that was when she was holding the door open and I was like "Thanks", heh. Yeah. After everyone was pretty much done, we began talking (along with her friend and my friend) about the quiz and comparing answers and stuff. Then the bell rang and I walked out with Zi and she was like "What class do you have next?" And I was like "Chinese I" and she was like "Ayy, me too! We're doing a review sheet today and the test is tomorrow". I'm like "Really it's tomorrow?" And she's like "Mhmm" and I'm like "I thought it was going to be on Friday".
And so then she was like "I'll see you later friend" and pats my shoulder. Yeah. She's a very energetic person. Definitely, uh, definitely brang my day up. Actually if it weren't for this whole thing, I probably wouldn't have written this much. Oh and when she told me her name, I always seem to never hear it correctly. It's always like "Hi l, my name's *trunk horn*". And I'm just thinking like "F***, what was their name again". Thank based Zuckerberg for Facebook, 'cause I found her name right after typing in the letter Z. She has a very unique name. Well, unique at least in the U.S I believe. And mine's well, it's like in the top 25 top boy names or something, in the world.
And so for Chinese, we just shared our notes that we took for homework, then re-read all the previous lesson sentences and vocabulary. Then go over how we're going to start on our online slideshow of using vocabularies from each lesson in sentences and stuff. Fairly ok stuff. The girl who's in my group was like "Hey, aren't you the guy in my math class?" Then she looks at my Algebra II/Trig textbook and she's like "You are!" And she's like "Why didn't you tell me?" And I was like "I thought you knew". Apparently she didn't know, and uh, yeah. But goddamn is it going to be a tiresome week, along with next week (ughhhh).
Well, now at least I have something to look for to in Algebra II/Trig. Then I realized, oh, Zi's also in my 4th period P.E class as well. Also I voluntarily said hi to this one girl in my English class whom I have never spoken to besides Facebook where she posted "Happy Birthday!!" on my wall. Very, uh, very productive day if I do say so myself. And goddamn, I would be asleep right now if English homework didn't take me 2 hours to complete. I could've done it over the weekend, but I knew I could do it in one sitting so, I did. The night before. Which was this night. Anyways, I'll sleep now. See you tomorrow. Also I'm thinking of adding a song list to the blog so in case anything happens to my files, I could always look up my original collection here. See you tomorrow.
