Week: 17
Songs to Remember: Babay - Zion T
There's been a change of plans but shit is still pretty heavy. Too many things are still going on.
For starters, I got a performance now on December 3rd. To think it was cancelled, heh. But yeah, it is cancelled, however, we got in a performance at this one college who were desperate for some Asian-esque acts, or, like, K-Pop and shit. And so, we got in, we're still doing the same outfits (blue now for me), same songs, choreo, etc. This upcoming weekend I got my birthday too, so there's that. It's gonna be pretty hectic.
As for today, yeah I'd say I didn't get much breathing room really. Dance, I forgot but today (and the rest of the week up 'till maybe half of next week), there's just gonna presentations, no real dancing, so that was nice. Unfortunately I gotta present tomorrow and it's 11:22 PM, still no real content on my slides, they just look pretty, and uh, still no choreo, which, to be honest I can probably whip up something real quick so no real biggie.
Umm, math was kinda shit. Like, really shit, heh. I came into the classroom and see the seats all set up in test-taking format. I'm like "Alright, tell me this was for a different class." Nope, the quiz wasn't tomorrow, it was for today. Fuck me in the ass am I right? Fortunately I did get in study time, the teacher told us what to study or review, quiz was only 3 questions, not too bad, thank the fucking lord. The test, however, is gonna be on Friday.
Break was break, ya'll know how this goes. Digital Art, instead of Chinese work, I did English work, of which wasn't actually due today, however I have no idea of knowing this shit anymore since it ain't posted on schoolloop, nor are things ever officially stated when they're due, aka concrete due dates since they're always changing, I just gotta make sure. English, didn't really do much besides review notes. However, the teacher did a cool little social experiment or psychological experiment (if you can call it that). He gave us all a piece of paper, we write on one side what we think women want and on the other what we think men want. Just, in general.
He then had on the board divided sections for "what men want according to men, what women want according to women," etc, etc. Most of the stuff for women was like, money, respect, etc. For men, it was usually sex, women, sex, heh. But it was pretty interesting, pretty good intel with this, live experiment. And apparently it wasn't just out of the blue, he did this for other classes too and is gonna be doing this next year as well.
Lunch was with the fam again, the cast fam. Cold, very cold even though it was only 60 degrees. Very, very cold actually, and it's only November 28th. Gov, we, worked on our final project bill, using Chromebooks. And finally, Chinese, where we read, and answer questions, and read. After school, we did some test runs for songs to be in the K-Pop showcase as well as practice for BTS' "Fire" and TWICE's "Cheer Up" (of which TWICE's "TT" was stuck in my head for the entire fucking day. I now pretty much hate, all TWICE songs). I didn't dance "the best" I could've for BTS' "Blood Sweat & Tears" nor for EXO's "Growl," but it was alright.
After the very cold practice, I gotta make another KDT mix, however it's not due 'till Monday or so. I looked at the song list and I'm like "You fucking kidding me." Stellar's "Sting," TWICE's "TT," Red Velvet's "Dumb Dumb," EXID's "Up and Down," Sistar's "Mamma Mia," BTS' "Dope," and BLACKPINK's "Boombayah" are the songs we'll be doing. I'm guessing these were chosen because the most amount of people knew the song and could dance to 'em, even the slightest bit.
Which means, I'm only in one fucking song, heh (BTS' "Dope"). And like, I, I've already done this song. It's cool that I don't gotta do any extra work to learn more but, like, I'm waking up early, going to a place on Saturday to perform on stage for, 20-ish seconds, all within, the day before I leave for LA for Christmas. It's like "Ehhhh." I looked on the list and I was one of the few people who were only doing one song. So yeah, it's all "Ehhhhh." Not exactly worth, but, whatever.
What's probably the most shittiest part of all this is that BTS' "Blood Sweat and Tears" was the most voted song, however, only like 4 or 5 people or so danced to it during the test run, half-assingly too, heh (including me). I'm like "Ya'll dudes really serious, ya'll couldn't have just joined in so this would get picked and I could get some motivation to actually learn it and go hard for the showcase." Anyways, gonna stop talking and start working now. It's 11:41 PM, I actually wanna sleep tonight (stayed up 'till 2:00 AM yesterday working on learning Growl and BS&T). See ya.
