Week: 17
Songs to Remember: Only You - Siwon

I can feel that bit of stress gnawing at me, but I'm trying to keep it down as low as possible. Also uh, the series is gonna be halfway over soon. Wow.

Psychology, another free day, it was good because I didn't want to finish Chinese work last night. Uh, teacher's back tomorrow, she'll probably let us have one more free day to work on the study guide before it's just whatever. English, after being in the class for almost a semester, I can say I finally feel a bit more comfortable. Like, the teacher reviews shit that was taught to us in like, middle school, going as far as like, independent and dependent clauses. Sounds stupid and a waste of time, but to be honest, I actually didn't fully understand this shit 'till now.

So, we talked a bit about that in class, and we watched a bootleg rap video on YouTube on independent and dependent clauses. Seemed appropriate at first before the teacher dude in the video included uh, literal, shit in a urinal, in his rap. The teacher was like "Oh dear" and pulled off the video real quick. I was like "Holy, you serious. They were trying to be a bit too edgy, heh." We also went to return our Scarlet Letter books and get our new book, which is a Thoreau play. At that time, I did a lot of talking with Lt, focusing on my sarcasm as I do with all my close buddies. I think that's one of my strong points in terms of speech, probably due to all the memes I've seen.

Then during break, Lt talked with her buddies about how when she gets married, she wants it to be like a Chinese wedding with Chinese traditional garments and whatever. And then she talked more about like, race in according to weddings and traditions, just stuff that I didn't really agree with for the most part. That's the kinda shit I get confused about, like, I think: "Did she really just say that right now?" I don't know, man, but I can definitely say she isn't afraid to speak her mind.

Bio, where we basically just spent the whole period doing practice questions. Not writing, but, read on the projector, write an A, B, C, or D on a budget small whiteboard with our partners and show it. It was actually useful, I got most of them right too. My partner said to pick the longest answer, and 4 times out of 5, it's right, heh. Uh, math. Long, tedious work on learning the basics of derivatives. More work than usual, but at least we get class time to finish some of it ,which is nice.

For lunch, things do get a bit varied now once in a while, especially with DrewN and I. Zl comes over to have a buddy talk with DrewN, Am comes along too and I guess she wants to hang with us. It's sometimes a little more than just the usual, walk to the lockers and sit down. US History, we get some more in-class studying, this time it's from the textbook. Also some people were selected to read their 2-page stories, persona stories, of a made-up person during the Great Depression.

There was one story in particular that I really liked, It was from that one girl who was in my group before, the one who is sorta considered a "troublemaker." I don't believe that now, but, if you were to view her actions for the first time, you'd think that. I expected her story to be just a usual, depressing story of someone from the Great Depression. No. Her story was fucking amazing, heh. It had so much emphasis and you could visualize and feel the effects and experiences of the person from her narrative, talking about how a kid's mother died during child-birth, his father committed suicide, and how his brother is all he has left during these tough times. It was very well written.

And finally Chinese, where Jk sits in his usual spot, so El sits next to him and that one girl, ya know what, I'll just call her Mt because saying "that girl" sounds pretty mean. So, uh, we just copied down sentences for the whole period, and uh, just work in general. Tomorrow there's a vocab quiz, gonna have to study tonight for it.

Alright, so I play Fallout at night, like, around now, 11:22 PM, because that's when I'm pretty much done with most of my work. It's better than playing it first and doing work later. In the end, it hopefully works out. Okay, see ya.
