Week 35
Songs to Remember: Oh My God - B1A4
So today Tn gave her presentation in Geography class. When I went to give her my practice test that she assigned us (it's part of her presentation), I heard my name. I turned around a bit to see if she called me. I proceeded to walk back to my desk when I heard "He heard me."
I'm kinda enjoying 1st period actually. Even though it is kinda boring, I do have admit that I enjoy the experience. We read, we discuss (about the book and sometimes topics unrelated to it), and we watch a few minutes of a film adaption.
In Biology, my group surprisingly finished the group activity (surprisingly). We had to record notes onto our worksheets and then go up to the teacher and they'll ask us a couple questions about what we just learned. If we answer them correctly, we get to move on to the next section of the worksheet. I was getting kinda nervous when one of my group members was kinda struggling to ask a question and it was the last one we needed to finish the dang activity.
We still have yet to play any softball in physical education. Today the teacher went over on the positions and strategies for softball by having some of us stand on the bases and create sort of a mock game. One of the guys who went up to bat hit the ball, but ran with the bat. It just a one big face-palm.
6th period was where it was at today. About 4 people presented today, and it kinda took up the whole class period. The first one up was this dude whom I never really knew was in my class hehe. He did his on Thailand and it was, kinda okay I guess. Nothing really was special about his.
The second person to present was Tn. Hers was on Austria, which just so happens to be right next to Switzerland, the country in which I did my presentation on. Hers was probably the second best presentation out of all the ones so far (the first being the girl who went after her). Tn did really well in explaining the stuff and all that, considering she's in the school's debate team. I also liked how she said "Nope!" when she tried to end her presentation, forgetting that she had questions to answer at the end. That, I liked a lot.
During her presentation, she passed around a small quiz that we had to fill out regarding Austria. When she was done with her presentation, we all went and returned the quizzes to her. It was bit crowded due to the size of the classroom, the space around her desk, and the fact that about 10 other people got out of their seats to hand-deliver their quizzes to her.
I handed my quiz to her and just when I was turning to head back to my desk, I heard "Drew." I turned around slightly (like I don't know, maybe a 170 degree turn) to see who called me. Apparently no one was asking for me so I turned around and headed for my desk again. I then heard "He heard me."
It wasn't Tn's voice so it most likely have been Tn's friend behind her or something. I really don't know what is wrong with them. I honestly just want to scream at them "What do you want from me?" Like, come on, why do you got to be rude like "He heard me." Seriously? And what is with girls using pronouns so much. I probably will have a separate story for that.
So I sat back down in my seat and the next presenter was this girl who I see in almost all of my classes. She never really talks, at all. Her presentation was the one that probably stood out the most. She started her presentation with a game. It was basically the game "Hang-Man" but this time we had to guess her country's name before she draws the flag.
Eventually (after about 2 minutes I guess), someone guessed Scotland and that was her country. She proceeded to play a song for the class from her country, but instead of just hitting the play button on the computer, she actually played a guitar and sang an original song she wrote about Scotland. That definitely made her presentation stand out from the others. After that, she told us that the file wouldn't work correctly on the computer so she got out her I-Pad.
The last part of presentation was an animation (really cool, I know) which she drew by herself. She explained the animation with pictures of it through her I-Pad. Even after all this, her presentation came to about 15 minutes. One dude tried to make it better with "Don't worry, mine was 15 minutes." I chuckled at that.
The next dude who presented was again, another guy who I barely knew existed in this class. His country was Belgium and I got to say, he looked pretty spiffy (spiffy? Who came up with this word?). We got about half-way into his presentation and the bell rang.
That pretty much summed up the day. I wrote A LOT so be happy for that. I'll see you tomorrow.
