Week: 4
Songs to Remember: Egg - The Garden

Today's not the average today, because today, I essentially had no homework, and that's pretty rare.

Dance was what you'd expect. We change, do exercises, review dances, learn and practice new ones, etc. There was an occurance towards the end of the class. This one freshman girl, who showed up late today, was not allowed to change out and participate (that's the rule. You come too late, you're not allowed to change out and participate. It's fair). So, she was supposed to take notes and stuff on what we did today (like uh, make sure leg is straight for this part, 3 counts for this move, etc).

She didn't take notes though, she instead was either on her phone, or, reading a book. And so, near the end of class, the teacher was like "Where's my notes?" and the student's like "I didn't take any." Mind you, she's taken dancing classes before (like, actual dance classes, knows a bit about the stuff we're doing), and she's a freshman. So, she starts talking back to the teacher. The argument went on for a good 10+ minutes, us dudes while we were changing, we're whispering like "What the fuck," heh. It was pretty extreme the lengths this kid was trying to argue her points and not just accept that she's in this class for a reason.

Because like, you're in this class, and, you don't get to participate because you came in late. Okay, you're still in the class right? It doesn't become a "free" period, you gotta go with the rules and the rules are, you just gotta take notes. And so, their argument dealt with like, it's not her fault she gets to school late, all she can do is "try" to get to school earlier, that's all she "can" do. The student asks the teacher like "Do you drive to school? Hmmm?" and the teacher's like "Uh yeah, I drive myself each day, 1 hour early, from Blank city each day, just to get here on time." Ahh, freshmen. Even for me, like, in Digital Art class, I sorta know all the basics plus some, and, I don't try to act like I know "everything," because I don't. And when the teacher's giving us some examples and tips, I turn around and listen, not rush ahead, and give him respect. 'Cause although I already get the concept of the example of tip the teacher's showing, I still pay attention and give him my time, 'cause if I don't, it's kind of a dick move, heh.

But anyways, that was something alright. Math was thankfully not too bad. The test was much easier than what I encounter in last year's math class (way more difficult). I had about 20 minutes to spare (out of the whole period), and there weren't that many questions, and half were multiple choice. Although it was sorta short, it is out of 90 points, so, I guess the teacher's going for a high-risk, high-reward sorta system. It's like my Bio teacher's 2-question quiz, in which, you either get 100% or an F on it. But yeah, I'm still not too overconfident yet on this stuff, because I know this is kind of just review for now. Until we get to real Calculus concepts, I won't know for sure the real difficulty of her tests.

Break was what'd you expect, Digital Art, was, what you'd expect, heh. The teacher went on a bit longer on examples, and uhh, I kinda just wanted some more time to work on my design, but it's whatever. I like just having a single block of concentration, rather than, focusing on what I'm doing, planning ahead, and then having to drop it for a bit to listen. Anyways, English, was, just another lecture day. We take notes, yeah. The teacher's a cool person, it's just that the material is just not that enticing, I mean, Anglo-saxons, jutes, coming into America, the fall of Rome, you know? Just, not that fun. However, around the last 10 minutes of the period, the teacher told us a bit about the class pet, which is this gecko a student gave to him for his birthday about a week or so ago. Now that was fun, heh.

Lunch was pretty normal, with me heading on over to the lockers to go with Ag to the line for lunch. Waiting, getting lunch, then heading over to the table with the cast. Also, today was the 1st day of CLOG rush, the thing that I was pretty hyped for. 'Course, KDT did not get a spot for today (unfortunately) but will for tomorrow and Thursday. I didn't really go look at any clubs because I think KDT will be more than enough to handle. Umm, 5th period, Gov, where we listened to the rest of the stuff explained yesterday, and, listened to somebody's "Current Event" assignment presentation. Then, lecture, and notes. Nice.

And finally Chinese, where we did work in class, write questions on the board, and played Bingo. I decided to just lay the commonalities over, just, a tiny of initiative, nothing serious, but just really casual. I said to Ka "Did you see the TSM win over C9?" Yep, definitely interesting, heh. Also, fair bit of discussion today on the KDT chat so far regarding CLOG rush and how we need an adviser for us to use the dance room. Apparently you need a teacher or "adviser" to monitor us so we don't, fuck the room over or organize a drug swap-meet and shit. Just, yeah, supervise. We haven't found one so far, which sucks, but uh, hopefully we do.

And as for tonight, well. I'm hoping to learn a few more dances/songs and refine some that I've already learned, so that I go ham during CLOG rush. You see, the Korean American Student Association (KASA) had our table today (the reason why we weren't able to promote today), and, they do some K-Pop dancing too, especially the president who basically carries the whole club on his back. And, a lot of people signed up for their club for a couple of reasons. One, they think that it's KDT, and two, the president's dance moves himself. Fucking underclassmen, man. Not the president, but, how underclassmen are fanning over him, heh.

So yeah, I'll try to go all-out tomorrow, by, going all out tonight. I actually already explained this, I'ma learn some shit tonight so I can perform tomorrow. It's 10:20 PM, this shit's only possible 'cause I don't have work (really), and yeah, see ya.
