Week: 9
Songs to Remember:
I'll admit, I have never watched a K-Drama. I've seen snippets of some, clips, picutres, but never actually see an entire episode before, until, last night.
I expected "I Have a Lover" to be your average and ordinary K-Drama. Now I'm no K-Drama expert, but this shit ain't no ordinary K-Drama. It's, fucking, WEIRD. There's like a bunch of storylines going on, some characters related, some not, there's characters that don't make sense/ not sure what they contribute to the plot, there's a little bit of horror genre in there, comedy, action, drama, it's fucking everywhere.
And there's a shit ton of figurative Korean language, so, yeah. Episode 1, I actually would've been completely lost had it not been for an actual in-depth synopsis of what happened, a short summary was not enough. Also there's 50 episodes currently and each are an hour long. I was slike "HOLY shit." And it premiered like in August or something too, so for production, there's like a new episode almost every couple days.
I'm not sure why Lt would watch something like this, but, I'm just hoping the show actually progresses into a real storyline soon, or else, I'ma be stuck watching the Korean drama version of Robot Chicken. Oh and as for today, I'm done with about 75% of work, got some Smite and League games in with my buddy Ec, and uh, watched episode 2. They say a lot of random English, like suddenly saying "No" in English rather than "No" in Korea, for some reason. And there was a god damn Harru Potter reference, like, WHO'S WRITING THIS SHOW?
Anyways, gonna get some sleep right now, see ya. EDIT: Okay so I just went on the Wiki page for the show, what's written for the plot is literally like 3 sentences, explaining just who the characters are. Which means, THERE IS NO PLOT, SHIT JUST HAPPENS FOR WHATEVER REASON. Holy shit, this show literally is the Korean drama version of Robot Chicken.
