Week: 46
Songs to Remember: Fantasy Girl - Cando
Another day, another movie watched, about 2 to be exact, both " Independence Day: Resurgence" and "Zootopia."
Independence Day was pretty nice. The beginning was pretty, Chinese related. Like, ranging from the sponsors and advertisements, to, how a guy was trying to learn Chinese to impress that Chinese female pilot. No reason to make it so focused on China, over, well, the U.S. The rest of the movie was alright, especially the homages and nods to the original. Uhhh, overall, not as great as the first but, not bad. As for Zootopia, it had a nice charm to it. I actually have not watched Zootopia, at all, had no idea what the plot was until today.
What was really moving (sorta) in Zootopia was how everybody was fucking racist as hell, like, seriously? And also the bootleg references to stuff like other Disney/ Pixar movies and whatnot. Uhhh, but not bad. We watched Independence Day in the theaters near the house, it was not that great of a theater, definitely the lowest quality but, what'd you expect? The tickets themselves were of paper quality (literally, like, receipt paper) aaand the seats were pretty flat, not really any elevation at all between rows. But, the ticket was $5, and the theater room was essentially empty, there were only like, 5 other people there. So nothing really to complain about.
For Zootopia we watched it in the comfort of our room, on a streaming site, same for pretty much all the other movies we've watched so far here. We then went to stores and picked up some snacks to pretty much hopefully last us for the rest of the time we're staying here. Um, we found out our cousin is arriving (and picking us up) for Saturday, Day 2, of Anime Expo. Which means, we're Ubering Thursday, Day 0, to pick up our tickets. And if it ain't for all this hype, I don't think I'll be able to wake up on the days of Anime Expo.
The whole time since I've been here, I've been having some crazy-ass dreams (like old times), as well as some some sore hips from sleeping on the floor (my choice, and it straightens my back), aaand, really hard troubles waking up. Like, I look at the time and it's like 8:00 AM, 9:00 AM, 10:00 AM, holy fuck, they're like hours earlier than I usually wake up for the summer. My younger cousin usually wakes up at around 8:00 AM and watches YouTube videos and shit, but I've been trained to sleep through that.
And my cousin did get his Cosplay package today after we got home, the straps that those attackers wear in "Attack on Titan." Yeah the instructions were just shit so, he just followed a tutorial online, which, was still fairly difficult. And now, after watching several ChonnyDay Japan vlogs ina row, we're watching Zombieland. It's 9:12 PM, I still need to watch 7 more episodes of Kiznaiver, see ya.
EDIT: So apparently I ended this post too early because we watched SpiderMan (the original) too. Just wanted to mention that, and it's 12:36 AM. See ya.
