Week: 14
Songs to Remember: A Year Like a Day - 2LSON, Road to Nowhere (대도무문) - M-Crown (엠크라운), Under the Moonlight - VAV, TVXQ - Champagne

I already know this post is gonna take an hour long. All I can say is that season 14 has led up to this, the season 14 finale, and it did not disappoint.

So let's begin with the long-awaited resting time in Psychology. Definitely was not what I was expecting. The seats were all moved to the outer edges of the classroom. I was hyped, I was ready to get some good-ass sleep, heh. I was expecting it to be at our desks, but uh, apparently not. The reason the desks were moved was to make room for us to lie down on the ground in the middle. Whaaaat. I lied down, brought a pillow to school just for this.

It wasn't very comfortable to be honest, no matter how hard I tried to doze off. The teacher did some bootleg uh, storytelling to get us to fall asleep faster or better. Didn't exactly work for me. After the teacher was done with her storytelling, she said we could either continue sleeping or work at our desks. Well, how about sleep at our desks because that's the only way I'd be able to sleep at school. And that's exactly what I did. But I still couldn't fall asleep.

I think it was because I was too excited for this, that I'd be able to sleep for free for an hour. And so, that counteracted my sleepiness. Fuck, man, I basically just spent like 45 minutes at my desk with my eyes closed. I mean, I think I fell asleep for a bit, not really sure. But the next thing I knew, the teacher announced "Alright guys, it's 2 minutes 'till the bell rings, just letting you know." I didn't feel rested at all, heh, it fucking sucked. Well, I know now that every "Fun Friday" is shit now, confirmed. Even when it's something as good as this, I still couldn't benefit from it, heh.

English was another uh, each period today I actually got something out of. Well except for Psychology, but you get what I mean. We first talked a bit about Mr. Benjamin Franklin, then had people present their uh, Scarlet Letter artworks. My buddy, I'll call him Vb for now, the one that sits beside me now, he went up, presented his thingy, which was a short story, and uh, after he was done, people asked him questions, made comments, and since nobody was volunteering, he has to call on somebody to go up and present.

He was like "Ay Drewm you should volunteer, get that participation point." I was like "You're gonna pick me anyways aren't you." "Yeah." And so, that was how I came about to present today my Scarlet Letter movie poster. Basically just explained the parts of my artwork, give some context, all that jazz. I explained the part where I chose a picture of Doug Dimmadome as Dimmesdale, people liked that the most, heh. Went alright. I was planning to call on Lt, luckily someone else volunteered. I was like "Fuck."

I tried to invite Lt to come with my buddies and I to the play tonight (emphasis on tonight). She didn't have time, I figured, so there was that. Biology was actually- ah fuck, just remembered I have a lot of shit to do for Bio. Ah, whatever. Anyways, we had a sub, surprisingly. I know that the teacher sent us a remind last night, something about "read pages something something" so I didn't really care too much about it. I realize most people brought their textbooks so I was like "Uh, what the fuck." I check the remind and yep, sent at 6:00 AM, something bringing our textbooks. You serious.

Didn't matter though, there was no classwork, well, no classwork due anyways, so I just did some math work. Essentially free period so I liked that. The sub was chill too about phones. He also reminded me of Corbin Bleu, which DrewN and I mentioned a day ago, so I thought that was kinda coincidental. Math was the usual again, nothing much to talk about here. Lunch, that right there was like a preview of what the scriptwriters had to offer. It was me, Ek, Ag, Jk, and DrewN sitting at the lockers having lunch.

US History wasn't the most interesting I gotta say, but it wasn't too bad. Basically just uh, worked on some claswork, answering questions about flappers, the roaring 20's, all that. Then we watched another documentary about prohibition and alcohol. And FUCK, I felt sleepy again. It occurred last year as well during SSR in math. I'm thinking I get sleepy around 1:00 PM or so for some reason. Weird, not sure why.

After 5th period, it was straight to the library for the bootleggiest thing of the day. Well, ehhhh, tie between that and the play, but I think the play is just a bit better. As I was saying, I didn't know who else was attending this shit, so I just sat wherever to a person I knew. I saw that my uh, classmate from Chinese (the dude who plays Hearthstone, not Lt's cousin) and I was like "Ay yooo." And there I saw, whilst in my chair, a dude who didn't really look like a professional gamer, next to the projector screen, with what appears to be papers, a folder, a stack of cards, and a fucking Bowser amiibo.

My first thoughts: "HE'S FROM FUCKING NINTENDO." That didn't turn out to be true, unfortunately, heh. I sat there, people were piling in, there was a significant male to female ratio, like, the complete opposite of KDT. It was like 10 dudes to 1 girl ratio, not even kidding. There was about, ehh, I'd say 40 people in total. After getting bored and snap chatting a picture of the Bowser amiibo, I saw that Ls was here, for some reason, heh. I was like "Ayy yooo." It's not exactly what I said but you get what I mean. And so the presentation finally began.

Turns out the dude is a game designer, working on an Indie title with his team. Don't really remember what else, but, he was like a general developer, as in, he does some coding, mostly game design, minimal art, and some Q A testing (aka, play-testing). Even then, he did work pretty early on in the gaming industry. The dude started off as a Q A tester, did some other shit, worked on many other games (his name's in the credits apparently), and uh, yeah. He really just talked about the different types of gaming jobs, such as a developer (coding), game designer (ideas), game artist(it is what it is), or Q A tester. Coder makes the most, designer second, artist the second to last, Q A testing's pretty shitty unless you do shit full time or are really good at games (figured).

Besides that, he answered some questions. I have to say, this is by far, one of the THE MOST cringiest events I have ever attended. Questions ranged from "Have you ever played Resistance?" to "Have you played Amnesia?" to "Have you played Five Night's At Freddy's?" Ho-ly, shit, heh. Some people asked questions that were, uh, more practical in asking, but uh, yeah, it's just, ehhhh, when shit like this happens. But that wasn't the bootleggiest (bootleg-est?) part of the whole thing.

Towards the end, he had a little trivia game to win prizes, and yes, the Bowser amiibo was one of them (retails for like $10 so nothing to be messing around with, heh). The first question: "Who designed and created Super Mario?" I was pretty mind-fucked by the cringiness so far that I couldn't remember the dude's name (though I do know it). One dude answered "Miyamoto." "What's his first name?" "Shigeru." The developer dude grabs the Bowser amiibo and hands it to him. Everyone lost their shit, heh. Even I didn't know that that question was for the amiibo.

The next one was "Who created the original HALO?" I was thinking Bungie but uhh, wasn't really sure. Some dude answered "Bungie" and it was correct, Fuck my life, heh. The developer dude was like "That is correct! You win... where is it... a piece of paper!" Everyone was like "LEL GET REKT KID." I sat near his desk and saw it, which looked to be just a black-and-white picture of the HALO game cover, printed onto a piece of paper. I thought it was just a fucking joke, but then the dude said: "That's a code for HALO 5 on Xbox One." HOLY FUCKING SHIT. Everybody went ape shit, I mean, I went ape shit, heh. That's a fucking $60 value, holy shit.

Next question was "Who published Star Wars Battlefront?" In my mind: "Is he talking about the original, or the new one? Is it Pandemic or Activision? Is Pandemic a developer studio or publisher?" I was, my mind was everywhere after he said he gave out a code for a $60 game. And whadya know, it is Activision. The dude won a code for Star Wars Battlefront... on PC of course. That I didn't feel too bad about, because it's on PC. Anyways, I don't hate PC, my PC can barely run League, but uhh, the last question, he announced the prize before he asked it.

FUCKING DESTINY: THE TAKEN KING. Sounded okay, I didn't really worry too much about it. "Destiny: The Taken King: Legendary Edition." HOLY SHIT. I don't even play Destiny, don't really plan to, don't really care too much about DLC for Destiny, but the LEGENDARY EDITION? That's essentially Destiny right there, the full experience. I bought it for $60 when it first came out, just Destiny, the stand-alone game. I just looked up the price for the legendary edition and it retails for $60, which includes the game, ALL current expansions, and a character boost.

What, the, fuck, heh. I thought it would be worth more, but, hey, a free Destiny: The Taken King: Legendary Edition? Nothing to complain about. So, the question was: "What was the first gaming console?" FUCK. Well, I knew I couldn't remember. Some dude answered "The Odyssey" and won it. And yes, it was for PS4. And uh, that concluded the presentation. He stayed after for questions, which probably included, but not limited to, more questions pertaining to if he had played it or not.

So, all in all, I could've gotten over $150 in games. For fuck's sake, nobody warned me about that, heh. It was a fun experience though, I actually did learn more about the gaming industry, actually persuaded and leaned me towards a career in gaming. But, that's just a dream for now, seems sorta impractical with the grades and work I'm handling. Umm, anyways, afterschool I bought my ticket, went to KDT practice. Also met up with my buddy, the one whom him and I were partners and worked on student mug-pictures in yearbook class, back in 7th grade. He's still the same as I remember, heh.

Practice wasn't all that bad. Umm, the rest of the moves for the dance were fairly difficult, and apparently I made it in the audition for the difficult dance, but not the easier dance (slighty), aka, Call Me Baby. Ad and Kh (if I remember correctly that that's the initials I use for him. Otherwise, we'll call him that) stayed for the 2 hours and practiced the dance for fun, which was nice. Cy is apparently in this dance as well, didn't notice that. I'll definitely need to practice at home.

After practice ended, I stepped outside, it was pretty freaking dark, and it was only 5:00 PM. I actually never went outside after daylight savings time ended. Well, went outside besides for school, or going out to eat with my parents at night. I'm just not used to it being so dark out now, heh. Got home, ate, relaxed for a bit. I was going to go at 7:00 PM, but, the cast was like "Naw, we going at 6:30 PM." So, I went at 6:30 PM.

It, was, DARK outside. My dad, umm, guess he doesn't really know the way around the school, err, the streets, even though he rides with me as my mom drives me to school each morning. He travelled too far, we made a U-Turn, I see the cast walking, we were at the back of the school, so I was like "You know what dad, just drop me off here." Streets were still pretty fucking busy believe it or not. 6:45 PM, dark as hell, but still busy, because apparently there's a football game today, along with the play. I walk through the  back gate, same way I always go, there were, firetrucks entering apparently, for some reason. A police officer approaches me, asks me where I'm going. I tell him I'm heading to the play in the theater. He was like "Alright." I was only like, 4 feet past the gate, then after 2 more feet, a security guard approaches me, asks me what I'm doing. I tell him the same thing, and uh, apparently, the gates are all locked from the back, so I gotta go around to the front. I was like, "Alright, no problem."

What I'm wondering is why there are so many fucking gates in the school, when the front of the school is wide open. So, thank the lord I had Google maps, because I probably would've walked in circles before choosing a direction to go. It's not very fun, to be walking with a thin jacket, somewhat thin thermal shirt on the inside, with your phone at like 20%, alone, at night essentially even though it was only 7:00 PM, and walking through unfamiliar neighborhoods (I don't venture outside of school perimeters. I guess I've been pampered by my parents so much I feel scared doing shit like walking by myself).

Anyways, I eventually make it, I probably walked like half a mile getting there. There was still a shitload of cars when walking to the front. I was like "Oh, fucking FINALLY." Get inside the warmth of the theater (you could feel the warmth from right outside the door), find the cast, and sit down. I found that it was just Ek, Ag, DrewN, and me, and no Jk. All shit is soon to be revealed though, so even though things seem out of place, it all comes together, don't worry.

DrewN and I talk for a bit, mostly ranging from YouTubers we both watched, tooo, other random shit. I mean it's not like the first time we've talked, we've known each other for a while now, even went to the movies together with the other Drew, so, this shit shouldn't be new. The experience, however, was very different. The play started, it was essentially a "RomCom" and well, it was divided into 2 parts and an intermission in between.

For the first part, there was a small story of a dude, sitting next to this girl on a bench, she moves closer, he moves farther. He then explains the bootleg like, theory or whatever, about how she's technically the farthest away from him, because, considering the Earth is round, yadda yadda, you can look it up for yourself. She then leaves the stage, scene 1 ends. The next scene was like, it was just a bunch of separate stories, around ehhh, 4 in total. I can't really recall everything I saw.

But I can recall how I yawned sometimes, and was getting really tired towards the end of the first part. It was the same feeling I had in 5th period when watching movies: my eyes would close by themselves, though I could still manage my pose and hear things. It was probably the closest thing to what my dad felt when him and I watched "Monster House" in theaters a while back. So, it was then intermission, aka break, and DrewN and I just, talked about more random shit, joked around, played some Chess on his phone.

THAT, somehow galvanized me (using them SAT words) back into whatever, and I wasn't sleepy anymore, heh. The 2nd part of the play was fucking bootleg to hell, in a good way. There was uhhh, lots of kissing scenes, lots of kissing scenes. There was a scene where these 2 dudes kept on falling over, sorta resembling flopping fish, but it was actually just that they "fell" for eachother. Get it? Get it? I also thought they were going to kiss, so I was like "Wait a minute, I didn't sign up for this." There was also a passionate kissing scene. Everyone lost their shit, heh. I was like "... damn."

They then proceeded to uh, take off around like, 2 pairs of pants, 4 layers of shirts and sweaters, wearing nothing but white pants and shirts, then proceeded to uh head into a cabin to what is intended as uh, rate R. Yeah, after that, I was like "Oh... damn. Definitely not for kids, heh." And then the final scene, where it was the first story again, the girl comes from the other side of the stage, as if she walked the whole circumference of the Earth to be as close as she can to him. Kiss, and then scene. Wow. The whole play was, I thought it was like, whatever at first, but then it turned out to be pretty wild. I want to say it was wild from start to finish, but it was more of, wild from middle to finish.

Overall, I give it a 10/10, would watch again, not for kids though. If you want to know more about it, the play is called "Almost, Maine." It wasn't created here, like written here, it was just performed here at school just to let you know. So, after the play, we headed outside, but then went back in to uh, find Ls for whatever reason. I forgot to mention, that uh, towards the end of the 2nd part, I saw Jk, who sat like 3 seats in front of us. I was like "Damn." 'Cause like, so far, with DrewN, it seemed like we were "replacing" him.

I felt kinda bad for him, that he feels sorta left out. but then I see that he has his arm around someone, that person being his crush.. that he sorta hates and likes at the same time, heh. I was like "...damn. What an African American brethren." Damn, well it seemed like this play event benefited him quite a bit. We uh, later on after finding Ls and just, whatever, we found him outside, sitting with her at a table with some other people, probably her friends. We needed to interrupt it so he could come along to Ag's house (which I did not go, as having practice from 3 to 5 today, then watching the 2 hour play, and then heading to Ag's house would be too much, according to my mom, and sorta according to me, even though it would've been a better ending to the finale).

DrewN was the one to go on over and put his arm around Jk, signalling that it was time to go, heh. We ran to the back of the school, it was fucking dark, okay, super fucking dark. Running with your buddies at school, at night, after a bootleg event, it's just, there is no time in the world for shit like that, because that shit is ethereal. What an experience. Ek, Ag, Jk, and DrewN headed to Ag's house for a small game night, and uhh, that was that.

I walked back to the front of the school, called my dad to pick me up, ran as short as 3%, the clutch. Ending up getting home at around 9:30 PM. Did not know that the whole thing was going to be 2 hours longs. Anyways, I guess it's safe to say that DrewN's the new main cast member. Not bad, right? I wasn't expecting it, nobody was expecting it, until like, a couple days ago when he invited us to go to the play together. It was actually revealed that, DrewN talked with Ag at that football game a while back, and that's how it sorta really started. He played badminton too, along with Ek and Ag, but, you know, badminton's badminton.

So what have we got for this weekend, let's see. Oh yeah, work for every category, study for every category, shopping on Sunday, and uh, double XP weekend for BO3. Let's do it. Tomorrow that is. See ya.
