Something I think is hypocritical of my school is that they're promoting cramming.
Cramming is basically you trying to memorize as much as you can in as little time you have so you can unload it all on one test and then forget it all the moment after. My school has this "cocoa and cram" event where freshmen can go and have free cocoa while studying in groups or with their friends or whatever, along with tutors.
Schools say that you're supposed to learn stuff for it to stick in your mind for actual use in your life, and uh, yet they're promoting cramming, which goes against what they've always been saying in that, you're cramming in order to pass a test instead of the intent of actually learning.
That was just something to think about. Anyways, I could probably tank all of my finals, however things have changed and I guess I'll be studying for a few of 'em. For example, Dance and math tomorrow, probably the two most challenging ones out of the ones I gotta take (the only ones, by the way). Within the past hour (it's 11:23 PM now), I've memorized 3 facts of like, 20 dances, as well as some more facts on Hip Hop. I'ma be spending the next hour on math, just, going over the shit I don't know and hope to clutch that hard B.
Digital Art final, I could probably just tank it, and I should. Umm, yeah it's, it's like a common sense "true-false" quiz, along with a portion of it being the exact same one we took a few months ago too. Pretty, pretty easy stuff. English, just gotta bring my notes and rely on that, heh. Or just go with my wits and tank the shit I don't know, either ways I'll probably end up with an A regardless, not being cocky, just, being factual. As for Gov, apparently, it's optional. Our final is just an assessment on this lesson, very short lesson. Umm, however, if you want, you can take it and have it replace one of your old scores on a past assessment. The catch is, if you take it, and you do worse than the quiz you wanted to replace, it still replaces it.
Now I'm thinking "Yeah, I don't think I wanna do any more shit." I look at my grade and I'm like "Oh shit, I got a 89.96%." By the way, the teacher doesn't round up. So, if I really do wanna go for the gold, I gotta study the shit outta this lesson and hope I get that 100% for that clutch boost to an A-. I'll probably do it, for "chips and giggles," as how my teacher always says. Also, just remembered, my English teacher said "play the slaps" earlier this year. That was puzzling me the whole day, I was like "What did he say before? Play the spanks? Play the s-?" Finally got it. Also that just means, play the music, popular music, etc.
And uh, Chinese is just nothing, heh. As for today though, pretty much all classes have been just studying. When I said I wanted to take it easy this year, I guess I got what I wanted. It's a boring flow, but it's flowing. It's currently 11:31 PM, gonna study 'till maybe 12:20 AM or so, then it's off to bed. Alrighty, see y- almost fucking forgot, heh. I uh, sorta figured out my route and plans for the next arc. Jk was rushing to meet up with his "buddy" to get work on his arc, so me and him rushed after school through our usual route and then to our own routes. He went to the left, I went to the right, I'm walking over, I see Atr (these two-letter names are gonna have to be expanded to three so I don't start confusing shit, heh) standing with her buddies I guess, as usual, by the spot near the sidewalk and fence at the front-right of the school.
I walk over there, go on my phone to look like I'm busy, I see that she sees me, I'm like "Oh! Hey Atr." And uh, her buddy, she's like "Is that your brother?" and Atr's like "He's, not my brother, my brother's over there" and her buddy was like "Oh, I thought he was your brother. You both look alike, you both have the same pointy teeth, same glasses, same skin-tone," and I'm just like "Gee-fucking-ZUS HOW FAR SHE GONNA GO." This was good third-person intel but GODAMN IT'S RIGHT IN FRONT OF OUR FACES. And so I went on gathering my own intel, I asked Atr if she was going to the KDT party on Saturday and she was like "Nah." And then I asked her about Chinese class and flowed in my guess with "Aww man, I feel sorry that you have the other teacher. You have Chinese... third period right?" "Mhmm." I was like "Godamn, 1 in 6 chance, that was a close one." I used current events and asked her "What finals do you have tomorrow?" and she was like "World History and English."
So with that, her routes include somewhere in the F building and then, somewhere in the E building afterwards. And since her 3rd period is Chinese, that's like, half of the route right there. And so, seeing as how I spent a lot of time already, I acted like I got a call and was like "Oh, well gotta go. See ya Atr." Boom, got it good. Hopefully her classes stay the same for next semester, because that's gonna be explosive. Just, special after special probably, heh. I was also thinking umm, that I can spend like 20 minutes after school each day, just, repeating what I just did. Gotta, gotta try am I right? Build it up.
And if you didn't decipher, Atr's a sophomore in KDT, part of that sophomore group (was the freshman group last year). Also I still don't know where she is during break, like, Jk and I did some reconnaissance this morning and like, I don't know where the fuck she could be. But anyways, I've talked enough, shit's hype, I'ma be tired though, aaand, yeah, see ya.
