Week 37
Songs to Remember: La La Land - Demi Lovato
One of my friends (he's more just a person I know), was walking by me, my friends, and this guy who also has the same name as me. The person I know says "Hi Drew" and both me and the dude who has the same name as me said "Hi". I will never forget this moment as it basically sums up the problems with my name.
My teacher actually showed up today so that's cool. We're starting on this book called "Night" which has to do with a dude and his family during the holocaust, just like the hundred other books with the same plot. Seriously, can we read something different for once.
Biology was boring, as usual. For drawing class, we're making our own stamps. We draw the design on paper, then we carve it out on a block of rubber. I printed mine out using the stamp I made (my stamp was a picture of a camera, as I love movies and at one point I wanted to be a filmmaker), but it didn't look as good as I thought it would. I think I'll stick to regular drawing.
For softball today in physical education, our team did better than yesterday. We got about 14 points where as the other team had only like 2. Our teamwork was pretty nice to be honest. My legs are still getting sore (and still are) from running so hard to the bases. Also, it was so hot playing on the field, that I could feel the heat even when I'm feeling the heat. Did I mention it was hot?
In Geometry, we did some worksheets on finding the measurement of arcs and angles in circles. Some people in my class get it and some others struggle, a bit. I don't see why as this is right here is pretty easy to me. I always write "2EZ4ME", which stands for "Too easy for me", in the corner of every one of my papers that I turn in when I finish it quickly. The past 7 assignments for this unit I've written it.
Oh yeah, in Geography today there were some students giving out their presentations today. On some days, I find it nice as I get to relax. On some days, I get 2 times the work while watching. Some students who present give out short quizzes for us to answer and turn in at the end. The teacher has us answer 5 questions for each presentation (which is required. It consists of stuff like "1 fact on culture, 1 fact on climate, etc") so we basically have to work hard while paying attention to the presentation. It's like "I heard you like quizzes, so here's a quiz so you can work on your quiz while working on your quiz."
Did I mention that I have a Geography test tomorrow on India? I still have a C in his class, my grade being a solid 75%. If I get an A+ on this test, it'll probably bump it up to a B-, which is good enough for me. Thank the lord that colleges don't look at freshman year grades (or at least the college that I want to go to), or else they'd be like " A, B, A, B, A, A, ... C? Who do you think you are, trying to apply here with a C! Begone foul demon!"
Anyways, I got to go do my Geography homework that I've procrastinated and also sweat my sanity off because of this heat. See you tomorrow.
