Week: 9
Songs to Remember: Lollipop - IMFACT, Body - MINO, Strange - MASC, Back Again - KNK, Summer Night (Remix) - GRAY
Never in my life would I thought I would be excited to have the option to teach some dancing as an assignment/project.
I think it's because of the freedom of it, that I get to choose the song and shit. That and, I guess I like dancing now, heh. Anyways, the season's starting off with some nice twisted shit, making things a bit different than other seasons, to mix things up a little. First of all, for Dance, we practiced a new tap-dancing move, we're gonna be learning some new ones tomorrow and the next couple days, then, next week we're probably gonna start doing some choreo for the dance recital which is in May next year.
It does seem a bit early, but considering the teacher's gonna have to be gone for a couple months for maternal leave soon, she's gotta teach us as much as she can before we're gonna be left on our own, making our own choreo, etc, which I do like. Well, for those who want to choreo anyways, I think you can either choose to choreograph others, or be one who will be dancing to people's choreos. Anyways, good shit. After leaving the dance room to go to math, I go on my usual route which is the path passing the P.E locker rooms where Mt shows up out of and we do our "hand-wave" greeting.
Well today, after the greeting, she was like "Hey Drew do you have any grading rubrics on you? If you do can I have 'em?" And so yeah, I hand them over, they're gonna be passed out to people during practice today so people can see what they need to improve on, etc. In the midst of that, a dude shows up, hugs Mt from behind, he's like "Hey" and she was like "Hey." Now in my mind I'm like "Uhh, I'm hoping he's just a friend, a really friendly friend." To be continued, 'till 'bout the end of the episode. Math comes, we do the usual shit, nothing much else to say. Oh yeah, quiz today, short one, only 2-minute time limit. We write derivatives of trigonometric functions, that's it. Freelo.
Break was the usual, Digital Art was so calm and relaxing (or boring) that I had trouble keeping my eyes open. I was essentially finished with my design, so I was just staring at a Google Images results page for Angry Bird designs. Not sure why the teacher's giving us so much time, I don't think people would need this much time making their shit, considering, I've added bits and details into mine's and I still got mine's finished before a lot of other people.
And what's better is that tomorrow the teacher's gonna be on a field trip with the digital business academy people, so, we'll get a substitute, we can't get started on new design shit, I gotta just, wait it out, heh. English, the teacher talked about propositions and vocab for about 45 minutes, the rest of class time was presentations on propositions, like, California propositions. Luckily I don't have to do mine's 'till, probably tomorrow. Just a small lecture, like, 2+ minutes, depending on how complicated the proposition is.
Lunch was the usual, Gov, we actually took a class photo for those wearing pink (since this week is spirit week and today's theme was to dress in your class color, ours being pink). Pretty cool, haven't had one of those in a while, literally. And by "one of those" I mean a class picture, with a teacher and shit. Umm, as for class, we watched ad campaign commercials, talk about persuasion techniques, etc. No work or notes, so that's nice. Assessment on Thursday though, in which, I think I'ma reach a hard pile-up, since for that day, I'll be having a partner-quiz in math and a vocab quiz in Chinese. Also there's Homecoming on Saturday, so, yeah.
And you might be wondering "Dude are you even going?" The answer to that is- to be continued. Probably, tomorrow or something. Either that or Wednesday. Cutting it close, I know, but what can you do. And finally Chinese, where unfortunately I had to write on the board, but fortunately we didn't do shit but recite the book. Nice. Also fortunately (and unfortunately), the extra homework I did over the weekend of which I thought was due today (because it said so on Google Classroom), was not due today, but tomorrow. So, I got not-so-stressful-in-terms-of-work day, but, a pretty stressful weekend, heh.
And finally, the conclusion to episode 1 of season 9 of Precisely Refined. I walked with my buddy Jk from my Chinese class (he's not in it, but our routes cross after 6th period and going to our lockers) to the lockers, as usual. I then walk from the front of the school to the back of the school to, ya know, go home. I remembered that there was KDT practice today (not for me) at the L-circle, so I thought I'd cut by there to see what was just going on. I see that people were discussing their rubrics on their auditions, as I was walking past the railing of the English building, I saw Tu and he was like "Hey, daddy Drew!" Did not expect him to show up, heh.
I went down to just, hang out for a bit, literally, like, a minute. Mt gave me the rubrics for my auditions, saw that they both said I looked angry for my expression so that was something I needed to work on, heh (I probably looked angry because that was my "determination/focus" face that I make when I'm serious on concentrating on something). Unfortunately I kinda got my answer to the thing that occurred earlier in the day while I was there too. That dude that hugged Mt, yeah he was there too, sitting next to her. I was standing there, waiting for Mt to give me my rubrics, and he's right there. And I'm like "So, there's something going on between them, isn't there."
'Cause why else would he be there? No way is that her brother, although he looks old like some dude in college, he appeared earlier in the school day so he probably still goes here, and, why else would he still stay after school and be right next to Mt? That's it, the many hearts of the audience watching the series, broken just like that. Is it a R.I.P? It's definitely a rip in peace. No worried though, there's still options. I waved to Cy today, had a nice talk with Vh (kinda, kinda depressing how she was like "I didn't see the KDT audition acceptance list yet" while I knew for a fact that she didn't get into both of the songs she auditioned for). She did see the list after 4th period, I was, I was cringing on the inside like "Oh, boy." Luckily she took it very well and would even still go to practices on Fridays, just to go, so, that was, that was uplifting, heh.
But yeah, what a season starter. So what's the plan? Well, considering I didn't do any application shit today considering the free time I got and just used that to sleep instead, I'm probably gonna have to start on it SOMETIME. By that I mean, THIS WEEK PLEASE. I think I need to make myself some coffee or something, just some way to avoid that afternoon nap. Or, just dedicate a whole day to work some I get some breathing room to do other shit, like practice some dances or whatever.
Anyways, it's 10:57 PM, uhhh, yeah, finished with work early for once, even though I barely had any work today, still. Alrighty, see ya.

Week: 8
Songs to Remember:
So first of all, the tenants, the new ones who just moved in a few days ago, have not been able to connect to our wi-fi for the past few days.
My family has been using this wi-fi for a long time, years on end, both on phones and laptops, both Apple and Android, and there's been no problems. My mom made me go over to their room Wednesday night to help them out on their problem and shit, but I couldn't really do anything. I asked to use their phone to do some online trouble-shoot, do some methods like reset the wi-fi, reset the wireless properties, disable the wi-fi password, etc.
Still no luck. They're like "I'll give you my phone number so we can contact you for problems and shit. You should call AT&T." I'm like "Aight, sure." Keep in mind this was all on a Wednesday night, 10:30 PM, I had school the day after, I still had fucking homework to finish, my dad's telling my "Oh call AT&T, they should have a 24-hour support line." And I'm like "For fuck's sake, I wanna sleep, I have school tomorrow, you tell me to go to sleep earlier than I do and you now you tell me to call AT&T this fucking late on a school-night."
I receive fucking texts from the tenants saying "Did you call AT&T yet? Did you call AT&T yet?" as if I'm the sole reason the wi-fi doesn't work for them. I just make something up because I don't want to waste my time, so I text them that "Yeah, I called them. They said to either factory-reset your phone and back it up, or contact Apple, just, the problem is way too general, too many factors go into this. Also, considering that the wi-fi works for everybody else but you two, the problem's probably stemming from your guys' phones." Mind you, they texted me while I was at school, and today too, so, no escaping this sort of fucking stress either.
I was busy taking my time, about to do my work, my parents weren't home today until a bit after, but, they texted me again asking "Did you call AT&T?" I tell them the same shit, and they're like "Can we come over and test it ourselves?" I'm like "Fine, whatever proves it to you." I probably should've called my parents about it, or just tell them to wait until my parents get home, but you gotta have the mental damage that I've gotten from all this bullshit to think "Oh, they'll probably take like 5 minutes or some shit, who gives a fuck, I just want them to stop fucking bothering me, it's not my problem."
I have them come over, they're like "Ah fuck, the wi-fi's still not working." And I'm like "Yeah, what'd you think. Have you tried resetting your phone, I can reset the router for you, etc." It did work at one point, like for 10 seconds, and then it disconnects. About 10 minutes of them sitting there, my parents come home, we give them the account number for them to call AT&T, they reside in our household for a near 30 minutes or so, the AT&T guy tells them that they should contact Apple about this bullshit, the tenants were still being stubborn saying that they could connect wi-fi elsewhere, so the AT&T guy kept on going.
This was all happening in my room, by the way, after moving from the living room to my room that contains the router and shit. They sit in there, the AT&T guy tries to reset the modem, and if that doesn't work, he'd send us a replacement one. Luckily, holy fuck, that it worked, and so they had back on over to their place, fina-fucking-ly. My parents are all like "Hey, you shouldn't have people just come into the house like that," as if I'm a fucking child still. My dad, fucking, I don't know. Then my mom tells me to start filling out that stupid FASFA and CalGrant shit, as if I didn't know I have to do that already.
And I'm just there thinking to myself "Man, do I feel depressed as fuck and lifeless right now, and it sucks that I can't do anything about it, I can't even fucking kill myself, heh." It's not even my problem, it never was my problem, that the wi-fi didn't work for them. The blame was all put on me, as I was a fucking internet-service provider's employee, as if I do this shit for a living. But I don't, the most I can fucking do is search up "iphone not connecting to wi-fi" on Google and trouble-shoot. My parents didn't do shit about this all, their excuse is "we don't know anything about phones and shit."
The tenants excuses were "it's not our phones, it's your wi-fi, you, you, YOU," and texted ME all the fucking time and not my parents. Like, it's not my idea to have tenants. And so all this stress was put on me, as if I was the one who set all this up, that I'm the one who's supposed to know how to fix this, as if I'm the one who caused this, and I'm only seven-fucking-teen years old, on a Sunday afternoon in my senior year of High school, with deadlines to meet and work to do. How much more stress do you want to put me through?
Doesn't' make any sense, and I get hit with brunt of it all. Just, fucking, kill me. And yeah, it is pretty petty to complain about this shit when there are kids who don't even have wi-fi, have homes, have money for food to eat, have parents who don't love 'em and or abuse 'em, it is petty of me to complain about tenants who complain to me about the wi-fi not working. But I guess it's just first world problems, that's all there is to it, and I shouldn't get so worked up on it, right?

Saturday, October 1, 2016
Week: 8
Songs to Remember: The Eye - Infinite
So what is it like being Simon Cowell? Well, it's certainly not "It's a no from me." It's more of like a, "Mhmm, yeah, I agree, they were okay, I give it a 3."
Woke up at 10:00 AM so I could get to the library by 11:00 AM to do some judging. As in, grade everybody's performance from auditions based on what we remember and what we wrote as notes, and uh, yeah. I showed up, there was Mt, Eh (or Ev, I forgot), Jb, Ry (or Rh), Jd, and Bp grading people for Ice-Cream Cake.
The grading goes by this rubric sheet. There's 4 categories, with them being expression (like, facial expression or general vibe, style, attitude, etc), dance (literally what it is, do you know it or not, how well you did it, etc), timing (pacing, were you too slow or too fast), and participation (did you show up for practice(s), or nah). They're on scales of 1 to 5. And so, Jb, Eh, and I start grading people for EXO's "Monster." It was like "How was their expression?" "It was okay, they looked a bit awkward, nervous." "So a 3 then." "How about their dance?" "It looked okay, they were a bit stiff but overall not bad." I also found out how bad of a memory I had, because I couldn't really remember people's faces to grade 'em on their specific audition. After grading everybody, we filter them into groups like "for sure are gonna be put in for the dance," a "maybe" pile, and a "definite no" pile. Then we filter out the "maybe" pile by comparing people, like, "oh, this person's score is higher," or, "this person can improve whereas this person," etc, etc. And you gotta be a bit unbiased for this shit, you can't just let your friends just 'cause, they're your friends.
And that was for uh, about maybe 30 people or so, give or take 5. It was a lot and we definitely needed to extend from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. About half of the people left to meet some scheduled events, uhh, so it was just me, Jd, Bp, Jb, and Ev. We moved to a private study room, finished grading there, then the teachers for Sistar's "I Like That," basically Eh at this point 'cause Cc didn't come 'till 2:00 PM and Sc could not come. And uh, grading for ASTRO's "Hide and Seek," with Bp and Jb. And spoilers, I managed to get into both.
Hell, yeah. I only really wanted to do "Hide and Seek" so I can do BTS' "Fire," but they said I didn't need to "do" it, just audition with it. But then like, there was only 17 people who got in for ASTRO's "Hide and Seek," out of those who auditioned, and so, the limit was 20 per dance. Cc and I both had the same idea of only wanting to do "Hide and Seek" so we can do "Fire," but since there were open spots, and we did get in if we wanted, we were like "Ah fuck it, it's free." But I also had to uh, re-do the dance in front of 'em, just 'cause they couldn't really remember how I did the dance, which was fine. As for Sistar's "I Like That," Eh said I was pretty good, that I was better than some of the girls, heh. Now that was surprising, I thought I did, pretty average, for both dances.
But yeah, probably got into that, and if not, then, no biggie. Anyways, as the day went on, people had to leave one by one 'till it was just me, Bp, and Jd. Then it was 3:00 PM and we had to leave the room, and for me to go home. Then it was just, me, at home, sleeping. Or hoping to sleep. It's currently 10:45 PM, I'm pretty tired even though I didn't do too much shit, finished Chinese work (for the day), aaand, still haven't started the FASFA and CalGrant BS. Also I know it's October 1st, I will start on college apps like, after-school or shit. Tomorrow, I actually have work tomorrow. That includes Chinese work, English work, math work, and options. Alright? Alright, see ya.

Friday, September 30, 2016 "KDT Auditions 2016. I Know You're Reading This, Punk B."
Friday, September 30, 2016
Week: 8
Songs to Remember: Dancing King - Yu Jae Suk x EXO, The Eye - Infinite
A lot of competition, and I mean a lot. Freshmen have so much time on their hands ('cause they're freshmen) and so they got all the time in the world to learn all these dances.
I mean, they got tired of practicing the songs they were gonna audition for and instead just jammed out to other songs. And yes this competition does drive the competitiveness in me to do better, which is a good thing. So, whole day was pretty normal. Dance, we tested on our tap-dancing moves, which went pretty smoothly. Math was a nice group collaboration discussion, break was a nice break, Digital Art was just me making the tiniest adjustments to my finished Angry Birds design, and English was a nice session of reading Beowulf and trying to stay awake, with my head hitting the textbook only once.
Lunch was lunch, Gov was a nice lecture on politics, and Chinese was a nice session of, reading. And finally the moment I've been waiting all week for. After school were the KDT auditions for the 4 songs for Lunar Show, and most importantly, screen-time for Lunar Show. There's only 8 songs, and if you don't get into one of the first 4, you won't be able to get into one of the other 4. Let's say you don't get into EXO's "Monster." Well, then you can't do VIXX's "Chained Up," and so on.
I practiced, but I practiced casually, and not super "hyphy" sort of practice, like last year. That was because I spent about 2+ hours last night practicing. 2+ hours straight, by the way. Auditions took a while, I was there with Jk and Vh, the most prominent of the people whom I interacted with there. Jk was there just to hang about, he wasn't actually in the auditions. And man, you could see the amount of the people, the difference in numbers compared to last year. It was a lot. Fortunately we finished before 5:30 PM, which is actually good time since our deadline was like, around 5:00 PM.
Also, fortunately I only had to audition for 2 songs, which should've been great, but turned out to be a bit mediocre to be honest. I didn't lose pacing, I didn't forget any moves, I just, didn't exaggerate as much as I wanted, and I also didn't smile as much (or at all) as I wanted, heh. But overall I think I'm fine. Getting into these is what matters right now, because if I don't get in these, then I won't be able to get into BTS' "Fire," or, be able to do Sistar's "I Like That," which I consider freelo since it's just, nice screen-time and doesn't involve too many moves. But yeah, average work on my part. Since I was an assistant teacher I thought I wouldn't be judging, but apparently I would be.
And yeah, it was for "Monster." I'm like "Man, so this is what it feels like." Because we were on a time crunch we didn't have much time for introductions (like last year) or uh, time to really "judge." It was like "Okay, that's their name, write it down, watch, write down the stuff they gotta improve on or general notes, prepare to write the next person's name." Some people had the pacing down but forgot some of the moves, some people did know the moves but didn't get the pacing down, etc.
So it was nice to experience that. Overall, not bad. I seriously cannot wait to do some different songs because I ain't feeling these ones anymore. BTS' "Fire" is okay, VIXX's "Chained Up" is okay, EXO's "Monster" is okay, but nothing that really gets me to exaggerate the movements or make them slick and clean. I actually don't even know the schedule for next month. Tomorrow the KDT teachers (ones who are assisting or the main teachers for songs) will be meeting tomorrow at the local library to discuss and judge those who've auditioned, aaand, talk about transitions for our "Light to Dark" theme route.
What's gonna be kinda awkward is judging, like, ourselves or our peers, 'cause some are gonna be judging those who will be sitting right next to them, aka, me, heh. But yeah, banking on getting into ASTRO's "Hide and Seek" so I can do BTS' "Fire." Oh and did I mention that the meeting's gonna be from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM? Kinda early for my taste, which sucks 'cause last night was ass. Total ass. But anyways, it's only 9:39 PM and I'm kinda exhausted. Interacting with multiple people during that KDT session was pretty, exhausting, to say the least. Anyways, that's it for now. See ya.
Week: 8
Songs to Remember:
So I was going to make this a nice, thorough post but due to some shitty circumstances stressing me out and having all the responsibility put on me, this won't be a nice post.
Instead it's just gonna be me saying how I wore my custom hoodie to school, the one with the senior class of 2017 print on it, with some people recognizing it and want to buy it because apparently pink rose floral designs appeal to girls. And uh, yeah, English vocab quiz was too easy, everything else, pretty much the same. Also, it's 10:51 PM, still gotta do Chinese work, and then practice 2 dances fortunately for maybe, 2 hours or so, meaning an hour each song.
It would've been nice to finish practicing these dances and still go to bed at a reasonable time, but I guess not. It'd also be reasonable as to not fucking call AT&T in the middle of the night, wouldn't it? Considering that yes, I do have school tomorrow, and that I am reminded that I gotta go to sleep earlier, but I guess not when it comes to problems not involving me, but are insisted that they do. Fucking hell. Anyways, see ya.
