Songs to Remember: The Pawprint (Continuous Mix) - The White Panda

Alright Drew, prepare for an hour of typing. Here lies this post to commemorate my 17th birthday, filled with cake, Facebook notifications, Fallout 4, and of course, the SAT.

So where to begin, let's continue off from yesterday in explaining some details. Uhhh, only thing I can remember right now is that the day after I messaged Vl on Twitter, she finally responded. She was like "Uhhh, can I have a name?" and I'm like "Andrew, I was in Ms.Blank's math class." She couldn't remember. "I was in Mr.Blank's class too." Still couldn't remember (I don't blame her though, 6th grade/ 5th grade for her was very short-lived). "Any details you can give me? Do you happen to have a picture?"

I sent her a picture of my current self, hoping she'd remember the similarities. She didn't respond for a bit until after I sent her my picture from 6th grade. "OOHHH I REMEMBER YOU! HOW ARE YOU HAHA." It was pretty much just that after, for about a couple other messages. "I totally forgot about you 'till my friend mentioned your name." "But what?" "Vh. I think she's in your Chinese class." "Oh yeah, she was in my group lol. But what did she say?" I got pretty bad vibes from that, so I was like "Oh she just listed people from her Chinese class when I asked her who was in it." "Ah I see." So, I don't think shit's going anywhere, it's a one-time thing now. She doesn't seem too interested in talking to me so, ehh, might as well not waste each other's time.

Oh, just remembered, KDT. Yeah, yesterday's practice was pretty bootleg for me. I was trying my best to mimic others' moves when we were practicing as a group. It was my first practice in a while so I was pretty rust. Also it was the BTS's "Danger" dance which I have not practiced at all. Still, I got a hang of just the general movements so it was okay. I did however get to be in the middle when they all did their hands-in-middle-cheer thing. People who get to be in the middle of it are the ones who improved the most, so, guess it was me, heh.

As for the SAT, that's a whole 'nother story. Last night I found a nice SAT study guide on Sparknotes and depended on that as my sole source. I got half-way through it all until I fell asleep (right here on my couch). I woke up, it was from 8:30 PM to 9:00 PM I think. I was like "Alright, that's enough studying, time for sleep." And I did, at 10:00 PM. My mom wakes me up at 6:30 AM, get ready, and knowning my dad has a watch and wears it, I ask him for it so I can wear it during the test. Because ya know, it's on list of things to bring on the SAT form thingy.

I wasn't sure whether or not the room I was gonna take it in was gonna have a clock or not, but better safe than sorry. My dad unfortunately, his watch is out of battery since he never changed it because he doesn't go to work anymore and is retired. We spend the next 20 minutes or so trying to find the right size button-cell battery or just looking for a place that's open that sells watches. We did manage to find a place, 7:20 AM, got 25 minutes to get to the place. We did fortunately, and Ag and Ek were right there at the front of the mob/line.

This was happening all the while I was receiving birthday notifications on Facebook from people like my buddy Ec, and messaged from Lt on where I was. I sorta forgot about Lt at the time, I was more concerned with the SAT than being with Lt in the cold. It was my fault though, I'm sure she had a horrible time being alone for the whole thing. My bad. Anyways, we stood in the cold for another 10 minutes or so until they let us in. Our testing room was the same, and on the 2nd floor, while Ag's was on the 1st floor,

The school was pretty uh, American-like. As in, like those high schools you see in movies with the hallway and lockers. Um, so we get to our room, show our ticket and ID, Ek is seated in front of me, I'm sitting in the back of her, people get in, I don't know anyone but Ek in there, the supervisor dude read out the instructions, I had my pencils, calculator, eraser, etc, we got our booklets and answer sheet, 3, 2, 1, boom, go time. I actually listened to DMX's "X Gon' Give It to Ya" to get my hyped up in the morning and not drowsy and sleepy.

First up was the essay. Prompt? Basically some uh, broad and vague question. Thank goodness I studied the essay bit on Sparknotes because it mentioned just that- the same sorta question with an example. 3 in fact, we got the intro paragraph listing the examples, the 3 examples, and the outro. I answered mine, now that i think about it, pretty shitt-ily. I mean I stated and answered the prompt directly in my first sentence, but my reasons and evidence, my evidence didn't really support what I was explaining. It's really uh, a bootleg mistake, I blame it on it being the essay, and it was the first thing in the whole trial.

And then next came the 10 trials of hell. As the test progress, there were times where I thought the test was going to end. And then I hear "Turn the page to section 5, turn the page to section 8..." I was like "THERE'S FUCKING 10 SECTIONS." Holy hell. I read up that it was going to be 4, as in, critical reading, math, and grammar. Guess they were divided into timed section-sections. Anyways, to make a long and stressful period short: math was somewhat not too difficult, just time-consuming, critical reading sucked ass because I once turned a page and it was literally a full page of just Richard Nixon talking about kitchen appliances. I'm like 'HOLY HELL." I can't believe I managed to answer most of the questions on that, because that story was fucking long.

Same goes for the other passages. They give us around 30 seconds to 1 minute per question, and shit, that's barely any time to read the whole thing when you've never seen it before. So, pretty sure that's a 50/50. And grammar, which I think I did the best on, because most of the answers were kinda obvious. And yes, there was a clock, but it was right above me, and looking up above me and looking back down at my test would've been too tedious and impractical. Umm, started at 8:30 AM, ended at 12:45 PM.

It was planned that the cast and I would go to Ag's house today, but she forgot she had church until 8:00 PM so that was a no no pretty much. Fortunately, that meant more time for me to get some levels on Fallout. I came home, changed, sat down, opened up my laptop, and see there was a letter. It was from my mom apparently, with her words "Happy birthday, my sweet son" and she drew a picture of me and her with a heart. Awww man, see, I do love my parents, and they love me, but showing affection and all this mushy-gushy stuff, it's so embarrassing, heh. But, it's okay. My mom knows I'm grateful for it, even if I didn't show it. There was $100 in the letter, which I could've cared less about, I actually payed more attention to the letter because my mom never really did anything like this before. A hand-written letter or something similar to that, I guess.

And so, I played Fallout pretty much the whole day after I got home. It was a reward for going through the shithole known as the SAT, heh. I also Skyped with my cousin, played a bit of League once again with my buddies late at night (like, about an hour and a half ago), as well as answering a ton of "Happy birthday" posts on my wall. Ah, Facebook. Best part about the wall posts was probably Yue saying happy birthday again, heh. That was pretty unexpected and cool. Ah, 100% Chance of Bad. Not a bad series.

It's currently 1:04 AM. I'm gonna be fucked over my work tomorrow, so there's that. But right now, I'll be on Fallout just a bit more. Uhh, so yeah. Not as long as I thought this post was gonna be, but I think it's because I didn't wanna go too much into detail on the SAT, because I don't wanna talka about it again for a loooong time, heh. Okie dokie, that's it for now, see ya.

What a nice letter

Songs to Remember: The Pawprint (Continuous mix) - The White Panda

Besides of the usual stuff today and KDT practice and no being able to get my nap in today, it's 9:32 PM and I'm sleepy. Which is for once, good, considering I gotta wake up at 6:00 AM. I just wanna go to sleep right now, reading SAT question examples got me really tired and bored. See ya tomorrow.

Week: 16
Songs to Remember:

Highlights of the day would probably be free time in Psychology, no composition for the rest of the semester since we technically already did one before on the Scarlet Letter, umm, no real highlight for Biology, heh, it was just notes Umm, math was just the usual, Lunch, Am came by again, except DrewN had to meet up with his buddy, that one girl that dislikes my presence, and uh, I found again that Am and I don't really have much to talk about. Like, there's no common ground besides school. Like, ehhhh.

US History was just free time during a movie on gangsters in the 20's and 30's, and finally, free time to work on Chromebooks for Chinese. Reason why I'm just doing a short post today is because it's 2:16 AM, heh, and I'm not even in bed yet. So yeah, I'll be doing nothing but reading SAT shit and playing Fallout 4 tomorrow. See ya.

Songs to Remember: Fireking (Years and Years // Galantis) - The White Panda

There was something good that came out of freezing my fingers doing homework while watching the other KDT members practice their auditions. It was just a simple "Do you know a Vl?" "Yeah, she's in my Chinese class."

It all started with Psychology. No, not really, but it was a nice time to relax because we got done with our bootleg group presentations about drugs. Tomorrow I think, uh, not really sure what we're doing, I know it won't be too stressful, I hope. English, the composition and largely-impact-ful test is coming inevitably. We're reading up on a lot of bootleg authors of poems and shit like Poe and Dickinson. But other than that, work at home ain't all that bad, just a bit of reading and those bootleg study.com quizzes.

So this is where I talk about the status between Lt and I, and I'm afraid to say that it's just kinda, there. That's the best way I can describe it right now. I used to look forward to our conversations, mostly because it was short and I only had a limited time to do so. But now that I spend my entire break with her and her buddies, she's just talking about random shit and/or playing Hearthstone on her phone. It's just boring now that I think about it. When was the first time I talked to her? Like, season 6 I think? It's season 16 now, so, 10 seasons in.

I guess it may have something to do with this excitement thing I've talked about before, and how I get bored when there ain't any twists coming in. And also Vl currently. I blame the scriptwriters doing shitty for me and Lt and moving the budget for some upcoming episodes with Vl. Who's Vl you ask? That's the girl that interacted with my in 6th grade, who was a grade lower than me. This better be good, scriptwriters. Anyways, Biology was forgiving today. The teacher was out for some reason, so she sent us a message to bring our textbooks as it's gonna be a catch-up day today, being able to finish notes in class, finish the POGILS, etc.

It already sucked that I had to bring my heavy textbook, but that I forgot I took pictures of the other textbook, so I didn't even need to bring it. I was like "Aw, FUCK." Basically like that. Math was pretty much the same, just, lesson, start on work, etc. Oh yeah, I also forgot to mention yesterday that we got our tests back from last week. 61/76, not bad, heh, considering there were people who did substantionally worse than me. I was surprised actually that I did so well. I was also surprised that I did stupid mistakes and that was the reason why I coudl've gotten a 100% but didn't.

Lunch, no Am today, I think uh, she won't be returning for a while, heh. It was just the usual cast again. US History was alright, just some work in class, drawing, and viewing pictures from the Great Depression and we gotta write a narrative of a person depicted in one of those pictures. Ehhhh. Chinese was the usual again, we just practiced the vocabulary for the lesson. I'm still not sure about El's uh, point-of-view on our matter, but when wanting to switch seats with the girl who sits next to Jk, she didn't really want to, and so, if she can't sit with Jk (or, just not next to me), then uh, she wouldn't either, so, when the seating chart was being passed around to be filled out, she put her name so that she and that girl would be sitting together up front and Jk next to me. It's all very confusing-sounding when explaining, much easier to understand visually.

But that's pretty much all the drama there is in Chinese right now. Luckily, these seats will only be for the rest of the semester. So, pretty much only 2 more weeks in these seats and for this lesson, it ain't gonna last forever. Afterschool, I headed on over to the L-circle (area in front of the L-building, a big circle pretty much, heh) and just watched the practice for KDT while doing work. More distracting than you think with the music, dancing, people coming in and out, people, etc. I did talk a lot though, interacted with the usual people, along with Vh, you know, the one from 100% Chance of Bad. Yeah, she's still here, and she's pretty chill 'bout things too.

She also played a major role this episode as when she asked me what period I had Chinese now, I responded with "6th still." She's like "Aw man, all the juniors are in 6th period. My class period is literally just 3 juniors, including me, the rest are sophomores." So, knowing that Vl is a sophomore currently, I thought it'd be a good idea to ask "Do you know a Vl?" "Yeah, she's in my Chinese class." Well. Problem solved right there, heh. I asked again and she confirmed, 4th period. So, uh, heh, looks like the next couple episodes might be some surprised specials, excluding Saturday, that's already confirmed.

You know, I'm not really sure, but, I probably could've figured it out eventually, just by curiosity. I searched up Vl's name on Instagram, out of curiosity, didn't really hope for anything, and bam. There's her Instagram, yep, that's her alright, looks to be the same old Vl, except, more uh, High-school-y, heh. She also included her Twitter on Instagram and holy fuck, does she tweet a lot. She's also going to Sadie's apparently, this Saturday, and by one of those large-scale proposals with the human letter signs.

I'm keeping my expectations low, but you never know. I'm not expecting like, "HOLY SHIT, IT'S THE DREW FROM 6TH GRADE." More like, "Oh, yo, how you been," heh. Anyways, at least it all brings excitement to the series, that's what I like. Umm, Friday, gonna be a prequel to the fuckfest, Saturday... huge fuckfest. Alright, I'll see you- uh, see ya.

Songs to Remember: Shall We Dance - SNUPER(스누퍼)

If I procrastinate and save shit 'till Thursday night, shit's gonna kill me. So, I'll be chunking down work for once... starting tomorrow, because I really wanna have enough time tonight to kill the Swan in Fallout 4 so I can start using the Powerfist over a sharp tire iron.

Anyways, we're having a sub for the rest of the week for Psych. Doesn't matter really, we just present to our groups using Chromebooks and shit. Not exactly exciting, but, I'll take what non-stressful work I can get. English, now that shit's gonna fuck me over when I'm not expecting it. It's gonna go from 0 to 100 real quick, as in, from in-class discussions to fucking compositions. FUCK. As for Lt and I, it's pretty usual again, nothing much going on.

Biology is just gonna rape me, I just know it. What's bad is that the teacher knows it, knows most of us, considering the past few tests and quizzes, that we're probably not prepared, like, at all. The semester's almost over (fortunately, or unfortunately) and people are barely staying above C-drowning level. Today she talked about how uh, word spread around that she doesn't teach. As in like, for example, "Omg, Ms.Blank's such a bad teacher, she doesn't even teach us anything."

She was fine with it, fine with people's opinions, but, of course, the only reason why it feels that way is because she's prepping us for college in which we'll have to do a lot of self-studying. And also she wants us to find out about things ourselves, which is justifiable. And then she tells us these stories and examples of her colleagues, family, and friends with their college experiences. And so, in class today, she had us take notes. Like, with our partner sitting next to us, we'd go through a textbook, and just take notes. Just take 'em.

For math, pretty much just the usual, except we didn't learn a new lesson, just practice of the one we did yesterday. Probably because the teacher just wants to time the lessons so that we end up with a test, just one, before review time for finals. Lunch, now that definitely brought some flavor to this season. I'm walking with DrewN after math sine we have the same class, we're walking over to the lockers and we see Am (Am? It's been a while since I 'bout her so not sure what name I actually used for her).

She comes along with us, hangs out with us at the lockers. She's close with DrewN, umm, to me, not so much anymore... it's a really long story, alright? We sit down, umm, talk about random shit, somebody brings up the topic of crushes and was like "Do YOU like anybody?" I'm like "For fuck's sake, not this again." Soon, Ek, Ag, and Jk arrive and it becomes this whole moshpit of gossip. I can see now why it's such a good topic, because new intel just sounds so good to know.

I learned a lot of shit, even got updated on stuff going around. Such as, Am not being all tight with her buddy anymore, Ek used to like Ec, whole ton of fucking crazy shit. Jk sorta liking that girl who sits next to him in Chinese now, like, damn, what the shit my African American brethren. Umm, it was fun though, we trust each other enough to know that we won't fuck each other over by telling anyone else. And it was nice to talk to Am again, after... well, good thing I'm not keeping count, heh,

US History was nothing much, just research topics, draw pictures for them, 2nd semester schedules were passed out during SSR. All my classes are year-long so there probably won't be any changes at all I hope. Chinese, I guess I was wrong with the tension between me and El yesterday, because today, since that girl Jk sits next to was on a field trip today, she sat up front next to Jk instead. When Jk asked where the other girl was gonna sit, she said she could just sit next to me. I'm like "Uh, huh." Also nothing much besides sign language in Chinese today.

So, work, heh. And studying. Pretty much what's gonna be going on for the rest of this week 'till Saturday. All I want for my birthday is a big booty ho. Just kidding, heh, I finally looked up where that was from, wasn't disappointed. Umm, all-day Fallout 4 session would be nice. I don't actually have things planned as I think I procrastinated on my birthday plans a bit too hard.

Other than that, I got a +1 to my detective skills today. So. With the talk about crushes and shit today, I remembered there was this one girl back in 6th grade who apparently liked me. I, I don't even, I'm not sure why I acted oblivious at that time, back in 6th grade. It was fairly obvious, people told me, it was obvious to everybody, I just didn't do anything about it, I just let it happen I guess, heh. She was a grade lower than me, I'm talking 'bout, she was in 5th grade, I was in 6th. I didn't realize that 'till towards the end of the year. Yeah.

I basically just forgot about her, or like, didn't really care much. She had a Facebook back then, with a fake name. She used it to solely add me, heh, and uhh, it's been deleted for a while now. Not sure if she even lives in this city anymore, 'till today. I remember her first name, wasn't very clear on her last name. Remembered that I still had my 6th grade yearbook archived, looked it up, bam, there was her name. I got her last name wrong these whole years. And so, I proceeded to check Facebook, only to come up with irrelevant people, or just dead accounts. My last resort was to check the Schoolloop email, in which when I typed her name, it did come up. And you know what it said?

"Grade 10." I was like "It's either her, or just a really big coincidence." I'm pretty sure it's her, I mean, what are the odds of a person have the same name as her and be one grade below me. It's not even that common of a name either. So there's that, that was the little, whatever, for the episode, nice twist. Umm, it's 11:51 PM, I gotta get back to work, events will soon unfold when they do and um, yeah, see ya.
