Week: 47
Songs to Remember: I Just Wanna Dance - Tiffany
Well here I am, it's 11:04 PM, fireworks keeping people awake, aaand my cousins have left the building. House.
So that ends the Anime Expo 2016 adventures. I didn't go today actually, I mean I could've, my aunt woke my cousins and I up at 8:30 AM, so I had plenty of time to get ready. It's just that, it's 8:30 AM, and I'm going by myself, and I just woke up, and there's nothing to do there but look for deals.
And yes, there was somebody famous that was at the con today, Dyrus tweeted out a picture of him and TSM WildTurtle. It was a nice incentive/ purpose for me to go, but it's not like a guarantee. I would probably have to search everywhere for one picture (which is not even a guarantee meetup). Plus, Lyft fees. $6 for a trip to and $6 for a trip back is not something I'd welcome anymore, considering I'm motivated for my next year's Anime Expo cosplay.
That would be Ichiya Suzaku from the upcoming anime series "Qualidea Code," which is apparently premiering its 1st episode in 4 days, produced by A-Pictures, the same studio that made Sword Art Online and Fairy Tail. I'm actually not gonna make the clothes and all that, I'll be purchasing it, premade, on another site (with the gloves and such accessories, separately). As for the arm armor, that'll be attempted by me with foam.
Now with that kind of hobby in mind, I gotta keep shit under control. Right now, I'll be here, in this room at my grandmother's house, for about 90% of the time for, the rest of this week. After that, I got driving lessons, and a fucking math packet to do (which I know I won't do 'till like a few nights before the start of school but still). I will be busy after this week.
Instead of just relaxing, maybe I can do something to be productive. Remember last last last year? I think it was last last last year. That was when I tried to make bootleg mashups of K-Pop and EDM songs. Didn't turn out well after all this time, but it was a good experience. And yeah, that was the start of my audio splicing experience, so, props to me for that.
I'm thinking of either earning as much money as I can for my cosplay through surveys, or, start fiddling around with Photoshop (I got a ton of experience with GIMP but I can't use it forever; gotta switch to Photoshop eventually) and make some art and shit, or both. All the while, Skyping with my cousin of course.
Now that that's done and updated, here's my thoughts on the Anime Expo trek. It wasn't as magnificent as I had thought it would be... in some parts. The goods were, alright to say the least. The cosplays, yeah, some were okay, some were cool, I still only took one picture with a group of cosplayers. It was just, "okay" in that perspective for those things. However, the unexpected events and solo ventures were the highlight of it all. I got so many pictures with well-known people, I wasn't even expecting it. Did not cross my mind at all (okay, besides some like Mort3mer and LittleKuriboh and shit, but you get what I mean).
That, and how I wasn't afraid to venture by myself. "Oh shit, I just got a tweet from blah blah, saying that they'll be at this location at blah time, I gotta go." That happened numerous times, and I was tired from it all. But damn, did I take initiative. The only reason I got those pictures was because of me, and, social media. And, a bit of stalking and chase for one of them. Facebook friends were like "lucky" for some of my pictures from Anime Expo with well-known people. I'd say it was about 50% luck, 50% skill. 'Cause like, Jesus, maneuvering through hordes of humans, weaboo humans for that matter, and toughing out the soreness in my feet and legs were a huge feat if I do say so myself.
I still, however, consider Fanime 2016 to be the most thrilling adventure I've had so far, coming from The Days series and the new series' pre-season, anyways. So uh, 11:45 PM, the KDT cabinet has put up the songs to vote for to be in next year's lunar show, uhh, cosplay prep, graphic design fiddling, see ya.
