Week: 22
Songs to Remember: Somebody Loves You - Charlie Wilson
My room is a fire hazard right now with all the scraps of paper, knick knacks, tape, glue, foam board, monopoly box, boxes, and a whole bunch of other things.
So these projects are going a LOT harder than I expected. First of all, finding a screw insert at Home Depot was like, nearly impossible, as well as explaining to my dad what I wanted to do with the screw and PVC. It wasn't until we got home after 2 hours from shopping at Wal-Mart, Michael's, and Home Depot that my dad went back to Home Depot to look for it. He came back with a drillbit and a button-head screw and so we're choosing to just thread a hole through the PVC itself instead of gluing a screw insert into it and then using a screw. I know, right, thinking back now, I probably should've just ordered the screws online.
After that, I wasn't going to be able to finish these 2 projects today, not by a long shot. Doing math and resizing and editing the board I designed on GIMP so I can print it out onto 12 sheets of paper, wait for the sheets to print, then use an x-acto knife to cut them out, tape them to eachother, then glue it onto the board and making cuts and glue ripped pieces back together. That took around 2 hours or something. The hardest part today was probably cutting foamboard. Geez, that was so tedious, having to cut twice to make sure it goes through the 2 sides of cardstock, in a straight line (attempt to, really), and then gluing them together. With gorilla glue, which doesn't really work unless your doing like heavy work. This is just foamboard so it's sorta a nuisance more than help. Tape actually did more work than gorilla glue.
That was the shit that happened from 11:30 AM to now, which is 12:45 AM. Good news is, that was actually good stress. Bad stress if like, math work, where the outcome is just whatever. This however, I'm actually looking forward to finishing it all and be like "Wow, I made that." So even though it was a lot of work, I was productive. So yeah, tomorrow I'll hopefully, HOPEFULLY, finish at least one. Then get started on a bit of work, because I haven't started any work yet (homework). So, see ya.
