Week: 14
Songs to Remember: Young Folks - The Kooks
Well, I just finished a s***-ton of work as well as late work, just to mention. I can now say that missing 2 days of school can be real s****y. You got to work, catch up on work, make-up work, clear stupid marked absences, and turn in late work.
So I need to sleep early as my prescription, soooo, I'll make this a small update. I feel like I haven't been trying much in making these posts. I remember back then when I actually wrote about stuff that was somewhat worth reading. Now all I write is "Gotta work" or 'Gotta sleep" or the infamous "I'm tired, it's *insert current time here*". Also, my birthday's in like a month. Less than a month actually. About 2 and a half weeks. And that will mark my 1 year anniversary of when I started this whole thing. Not when I made the migration to Blogger, but when I actually started writing (which was first on a Google doc).
And I cannot believe I'll be turning 16. I'm actually gonna be the age of the people I see on bootleg teen shows. Do I feel old? Eh. Do look old? Probably. This one dude once told me that I have the face of a college student. Umm, I didnt really know how to respond to that, but I appreciated the opinion. Anyways, I'll get on with the small update. World History, finishing up on planning and research for the debate discussion thing on Imperialism. Pretty boring stuff. And apparently my teacher lives in San Fransisco. Holy s***, that's like a two hour drive to and from school everyday.
English, had some work to catch up on, finished reading Cyrano De Bergerac, was an eh book, and missed out on a lot of discussion, aaand I have an essay to write in class and only in class. Also vocabulary test on Friday. My teacher said this was a going to be a test-y week. I agree so far. For chemistry, I missed a some notes last week, notes done today, we're doing light and wavelengths and stuff right now. Doing some bootleg lab stuff tomorrow though, that's gonna be pretty fun. And uhh, Yn and Yue are both doing alright. I still can't forget that first day of school though. God, was that was the best so far.
And oh god, am I bad at table tennis. I rely on everybody else rather than myself. I'm unreliable in table tennis. Either my partner carries me or my opponents f*** up hard. And by the way, At's in my P.E class again. You know, that girl from last year during the first semester. During roll, I was like "Is my spot gonna next to her like last year's again? Of course it is". And by the way, my partner is the teacher. Yeah, god damn it for uneven class numbers. But, she does carry me, and if it weren't for her, I probably wouldn't even be in the top table right now.
I contually hit the ball too hard and it goes too far off the table. I try to keep it on the table, and I apparently setup for my opponents to smash hard on us. I do so bad that my partner tells me to just try to keep the ball on the table and let her do the aiming. Yeah, I dont really enjoy this position I'm in. This is gonna be a long 6 weeks. Uhhh, maths. I took the make-up teat today aaaand about half the problems, I was like " F***". Like, I forgot how to solve em'. On one of them, I almost put "cannot be simplified". Yeah. Luckily though, that I was able to re-learn how to do them while taking the test.
And also the fact that I asked the teacher when do I take the test and she's like " You wanna start now?" And she gives me the test and I spend the class time doing the test. Also I began the test during SSR time so I basically got an extra 20 minutes. I still got like, 3 wrong or so, about of like, 20 questions. Also the lights kept on turning off while I was taking the test and I was just like f***. I thought there was a light switch and someone kept on turning it off, thinking there was no one in the room (I took it in the math teacher's lounge btw). Apparently the lights were motions activated. Good thing I figured out or else I'd have to concentrate on doing the problems and deciphering them as well.
Chinese, lots of late work to turn in, make-up work, make-up test, and new seats too. I was like "What if I got a seat near El? That would make it a fun 3 weeks right?" Aaand luckily, I didn't. I got seat number 20, and it was in the back middle. I was fine with my seat and my team members, the teacher switched around people 'cause there were originally all dudes in my group. And so now I ended up with this dude and girl in my group, and no one next to me. I don't know if I like this or not. Also, we did a hand gesture today for this one word and the hand gesture was to pat someone on the shoudler. Yeah, I patted my own shoulder, heh.
Oh and my buddy told me that he might be transferring to another high school soon. He said that the school found out that he lives somewhere else and shouldn't be in this district. He said he needs proof of residency like an electric bill or something. We're both trying to find a way to get him out of it. He explained how the school was sending out report cards and was like "What is this?" when they see the p.o box and stuff. So, this means I might lose my best buddy to talk to at school.
I don't get why they can't just let him stay here. I mean, some of my teachers live fairly far away are allowed jobs here. What's the difference with students? My World History teacher drives like two hours to get to school. TWO HOURS. That's like waking up at 4:00 AM, an hour to get ready and pack stuff, then the two hour drive, then prepare the lesson, and then school starts. That's an early time. I swear, it's all about location now.
Anyways, I need to go to sleep now, this turned out to be a longer update than I expected. Some person asked me on ask.fm what color my "damn" shirt was under my jacket. It was a light blue, thanks for asking. See you tomorrow.,
