Week: 3
Songs to Remember: At First - JJCC, Jackpot - Block B
These girls came up to us and they were like "Join the Movement club! You'll earn community service and meet new people! Also the club officers are really cute". And I'm just like "My kind of club officers".
So we did whatever in World History. Allergies still acting up so I'm gonna be uncomfortable for a few days. I'm starting to think that this is a bit more than allergies since I'm kinda coughing too. It all started with a sore throat. Anyways, English was eh. Corrected work and that's it. Chemistry is going alright; not as well as I'd like it, but it's fine. Took some notes on physical and chemical properties of stuff. Pretty much it. I talked to Yue so it was fine. Mr. Sales was like "Tomorrow we're going to have just a fun lab. Every Friday we'll have do a fun lab or something". And I was just like "Yyyyyyyyyyeeeeeeeeeeesss". Oh thank you based teacher. That means I'm hopefully gonna be together with Yue for partner activities. And it's like every Friday so it's just like " Yeeesssss". Not "Yasss", " Yesss".
Oh and there's this one girl (in our chemistry class of course) who looks just like my classmate from English class last year (who is now in my World History class. We don't really talk at all now). I was like "Wait, is she in my chemistry class?" Her names different so I was like "Ehhh". But the similarities were so uncanny. And then I remembered "Ohhhhhh, that's her twin sister". My classmate told people that she has twin and I just remembered. Twins are pretty bootleg in my opinion. You could get away with a lot of shenanigans with your twin.
For P.E, we started practicing passing to our teammates. I think I did well, sorta. We gotta pass it 2 times, and then hit the ball over, then the other team does the same. Still hate Volleyball though.
So as my buddy and I walked around looking at all the clubs (god was it hot), my buddy from that summer tutoring was like " Oh hey Drew, you should join the KDT (the Korean Dance Team)". And I was like "Uhhh" and he dragged me over and I was just like "*sigh* Whatever, I do need the exercise". And then he was like "Thanks for signing up, we need more guys in the club since there's too many girls, heh". And I'm just like "Uhhhhh, did I just hit the jackpot? (Cue Block B's 'Jackpot')"
And I also joined VSA 'cause, I'm Viet, aaand for whatever. All the clubs were like "Join out club, you'll earn community service, chances to earn scholarships (oh brother), meet new people, and have fun while doing it!" And I'm just like "Well, isn't that like every other club here?" Every single club (besides the recreational whatever clubs like "Chess club") offers community service, along with the ability to meet new people, scholarships, and " fun".
But there these girls who approached me and my friend and they were like "Hey, you guys should join the Movement club! You earn community service, scholarship opportunities, meet new people, and the clib officers are pretty cute too!" And I'm just like "S***, that last part just made it very persuasive. Too persuasive". And I was like "Ehhh, I'm in 2 clubs already. I'ma have to do homework, then I'ma have to learn how to drive soon, then a job, then the clubs, ehhh 2 clubs is good for now". Also I see Hl (those are the letters is used for her right?) walking around promoting the Fandom club and I'm just like "I still can't believe that him and her happened". I remember how I mentioned this one dude's comment on Facenovel where he was like " If RL were to get a girlfriend before me, feel free to chop my d*** off" and I'm like "Yeah, mine too. I still can't believe it".
So after studying diligently last night, I was pretty ready for the first Algebra Ii/ Trigonometry test. It was only 1 page (front and back) of questions so that was good, although none were multiple choice so I was like "Ehhh". I start on the first few questions, they were pretty easy. Then the next few, I was like "Ehhh, these are taking a bit too long, I'll skip them and come back to them later". Then the next question and I'm like "Ehhh, I'll come back to this one later too". Some of the questions don't result in a whole number and I'm just like "Why? Why is the world so cruel? Why do fractions exist?" So I'm positive sure I'm getting an F. If I'm lucky, I'm praying for a C. My excuse is that some of the questions on the test were never covered in our lessons. And that it was the first test so I didn't know the format.
Chinese class was ehhh. I'm still kinda struggling deciphering Chinese characters. Why? 'Cause there was a vocabulary quiz today and I was like "F***" and she was like "I reminded all you guys on the app last night" and I was like "Oh, well I so sorta remember receiving a remind text last night". By then I remembered how I was too busy studying for the math test that I played no attention to the text. I got a 12/20 for the vocabulary quiz. In all honesty, it is my fault for my score. Good thing NY teacher is an angel from heaven, 'cause she believes in second chances and let's us have a quiz re-take on Wednesdays during lunch. Thank you based teacher.
So uh, I kinda wrote more than i thought. That was pretty good. Aaand uh, yeah i don't know much more to say. Oh right, the title of the post. So El and I haven't really hit it off, conversation wise, so the feeling's mostly just floating there for me. And Yue, me and her are like "Ehhh", but mostly it's just me. I know that it's gonna hurt when Yue graduates this year and heads off to college or where ever else she plans to go. My chemistry teacher was like "There's only 168 days of school left" or something like that. Close to that number. And I was like "Wow. Shorter than I thought a school year would last. But, it's still a long time in actuality. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing.
Anyways, I have hay fever so I'ma need my beauty sleep. Or is it handsome sleep for guys? I don't even know. Anyways, see you tomorrow.

Week: 3
Songs to Remember: Rain (Stephen Walking Remix) - Astronaut
I love how people's conversations are so empty-minded that it keeps me entertained for prolonged periods of time. Like today in World History, these 2 girls sitting behind me were talking about how one of them tried calling and texting their boyfriend 'cause something seemed wrong, even though they knew that the dude's phone was dead.
So yeah, nothing much happening. We had freshman/sophomore orientation during English class. About 1/6 of the school is supposed to meet in the theater for it. They just explained some stuff about the library, upcoming events like dances, and school policies like clothing. They explained how you can't wear shirts with logos depicting narcotics or sexual stuff, no "sagging", and like, no short shorts or whatever. Does that apply to skirts too? It better not 'cause skirts are pretty cute. Formal, but classy. Wait, did I just talk about skirts just now?
Let's just pretend I never said any of that. Anyways, Yue's thinking about switching out from honors Pre-cal to Calculus or something like that (don't remember if it was calculus or regular pre-cal). After i asked her about the test, she was like "It was so hard, I didn't know anything! I think I'll just switch from honors to regular" or something like that. She just skips her honors pre-cal period and just heads to the counseling office and I was like "Umm, whatever I guess. That, that works too".
P.E was okay. We had a substitute again so it was pretty calming. Our regular teacher scares me, I think that's why I don't do so well. Scares me as in intimidation through a large difference of skill levels. Anyways, we were outside on the football field and we basically hit the ball in a circle, hitting it to each other. I met some new people through this, all of which were girls, so that aight. Probably the best P.E day so far.
At lunch, my buddies and I checked out some of the clubs (yesterday was only half of the clubs, today was half, tomorrow is when all the clubs are present) and we were like "Ehhh". I want to join a club, because you gotta or else people will be like "So what are some of your extracurricular activities?" And I'm like "Uhhh, do video games count?". I mean, at least something to do besides stay home, but not affect my schedule too much, and by that, I mean not disturb my sleeping time in any way possible. Also I got a lot of homework, more than last year so I'm starting to feel the heat.
I guess I'll join VSA (Vietnamese student association). Just for f***'s sake. And my buddy's gonna join too so, whatever. I'm really not expecting much, except for when I'm probably gonna have to go on the weekends to help decorate dances or whatever.
Anyways, lunch, hell, etc. I have a test tomorrow for Algebra II/ Trig, and I struggled a bit (mostly 'cause the teacher was going' a bit too fast) so I'ma have to study pretty hard, and I never really study. Aaand I did study hard a few hours ago actually. I had a hard time concentrating with my parents being loud as f***, but I managed to get through. Also the teacher allowed us to turn in our homework on Friday instead of Thursday so we would be able to study rather than do work. THANK THE LORD FOR HAVING SOME HEART.
Okay so, Chinese class, we got to record ourselves saying 3 vocabulary words, sentences, and a poem. My computer mic sounded pretty bad so I did some bootleg stuff with my phone and got it done. God, it feels like tomorrow is Friday, but it's not
Anyways, I gotta go sleep and stop thinking about Yue's big eyes looking at me when I looked at her during that test. God, was that an experience. Oh and that reminded me, during the orientation today, Am, who's in my English class, surprised me from the back like "What's up Drew!" and I was just like "Who at you again?" And she was like "You know what, forget you", jokingly of course. God, do I love saying that "Who are you?". Such a bootleg question. Anyways, after using anyways about 7 times, I'll see you tomorrow.

Week: 3
Songs to Remember: Sneakers - Velociraptors
The title of this post would be much more relevant if we had actually done an experiment today (We didn't). But I was an allergic mess today so, it works for now.
So, I was an allergic mess today. Godamn pollen getting in my nostrils and causing massive floods. There's this weird thing about how I breathe. Most of the time, I can never breathe through both of my nostrils at the same time. Usually I can only breathe through one, and the other would just do nothing. Today, one of my nostrils was breathing fine, but the other was always being a leaky faucet. And then after some time, they switch; one becomes fine and the other becomes runny.
This was happening throughout the whole day. Like, I was hoping it would stop after I went through about 4 tissues, but no, it kept leaking. First period, World History, teacher shows us Disney's "Robin Hood" while my nose was running through the whole movie. The movie was relevant to what we were learning with all the monarchy and stuff. The Magna Carta, you know?
Second period English, the teacher had us discuss a bunch of bootleg (not in a good way) true/false questions about copyright and fair use while my nose was opening up a water-park. The questions were bootleg 'cause they have such itty-bitty details which would make then either fair use or not. I mean, they mentioned "BlockBuster" rentals and I'm just like "Are these questions written on papyrus?"
One of the questions were like "Oh, a teacher records a broadcast of Bill Bye the Science Guy and uses the video for their class for 3 years. This is fair use". And you might think it's false since they didn't get permission, but nope, it's true. Why? Not because of permissions, recorded it their-self, etc etc. It's 'cause it's f***ing Bill Bye. That's it. It's 'cause Billy Nyr allows the use of his episodes for education. What, the, f***. You see what I mean by bootleg?
When Yue asked me on Facenovel about what day the chemistry test was gonna be on, I told her it was Tuesday. Then today I realized "Oh, today's Tuesday. Wow". Good thing I made my cheat-sheet (paper with notes and stuff on it in which our teacher allows us to use on our tests and get extra-credit for. Just a name, not an actual cheat-sheet). The desks were kinda mis-aligned, some missing. I was wondering why and I'm like "Oh yeah, my Geography teacher did this for his tests". So I'm sitting down, and I guess I'm too close to other people and easier to cheat off of, so the teacher was like "Everyone else but these few columns of desks, please go sit at a lab table". I was just like "THANK YOU BASED TEACHER". We were supposed to sit across from people at lab tables and guess what? There was nobody sitting across from Yue who's by herself at the lab table. F*** yeah.
So I sit across from her at the lab table (the lab table's like, 4 feet across). We begin our tests and my nose just starts watering the lawn. F***ing uncomfortable. After Yue and I (that never gets old) finish our tests, she leaned over and whispered "I'ma need about tree giddy". I'm just kidding, I'm just kidding, IM KIDDING! Alright so what she actually said was "What math teacher do you have" and I'm like "Ms.Thorn" (we'll call her Ms.Thorn for privacy purposes). And Yue's like "I have her too. She's tough" and I'm like "Uh yeah, tell me about it heh". And Yue was like "I have a test with her today for Honors Pre-Cal".
And then I was thinking "Wait, when is the test for my class?" And it turns out to be on Thursday, thank GOD. So Mr.Sales (our chemistry teacher in case you've forgotten) was like "Alright, everyone's finished with their tests, you can all relax, you can all go back to your desks now" and uhhh, I kinda just stayed sitting where I was. I ain't gonna miss out on an opportunity to sit close to Yue. Anyways, class ends, Yue and I walk out of class and Yue was like "I'm so scared for the test, I don't know anything!" And I'm just like "Don't worry, you'll do fine" and then she goes on explaining how she skipped Algebra II so she doesn't know much of the stuff covered in Honors Pre-cal and how she might consider dropping the class due to how difficult it is. And I'm just thinking like "Deja Vu, oh my god, this is like the third time we went over this".
And so I was like "Well, I hope you do good" and she was like "Thanks" and we a big smile and a small chuckle and I just walk my way and I'm just thinking like "Short, sweet, and to the point. Good one, Drew. Now be ready to continue this conversation tomorrow". Now if only my chemistry teacher would have us do more partner activities, then I'd be mighty productive.
P.E, substitute, practice routines, eh. I sweatted a lot though, I don't know why, and my nose was oozing lava as well. For lunch today, outside at the main grassfield, there were people setting up for " CLOG Rush", which is basically your normal "Corn join our clubs" thing. You've all seen I before in shows right? Right. My friends I went over to see some of em' and most of then were like, the same as last year's, besides like, the fandom club. My only concern about clubs is how many tines am I gonna be forced to attend the sessions, I mean I joined 1 club last year, which was Digital club, and I basically stopped going 'cause it was seriously too bootleg and bad, Linda like my middle school's Anime club in 8th grade. Bootleg like that.
I'm kinda thinking about joining the Korean Dance Team. Why? Ehhh, 20% K-Pop, 50% exercise, 30% for the extra credit. Dancing K-Pop dances wouldn't be so bad. It'd be good exercise since the only exercise I really do everyday is P.E class. We get to perform at the Lunar show (an Asian stage event in the theater with like, dances, performances, Asian, etc) so that's kinda cool too. Interact club, or Key club, you've all heard of those clubs right? Well, I'm kinda feeling iffy on whether or jot uwabt to join em', since they require you to go to a lot of places, and usually on the weekends. That's not my style. The clubs are open until Thursday so I have 'till then to decide.
Oh and uh, nose like sprinklers, Tsunami, gates of hell, garden hose gone wrong, you get the point. Chinese class was eh. So there's this one post on Facenovel, on which I completely agree with, actually, I empathize with. Im in the exact same situation (emphasis on exact).
The dude posted "I hate how stuffy noses have one nostril as dry as the desert while the other nostril is as wet as the freaking Atlantic Ocean, and you only inhale with one nostril. Omfg." And I'm just like "Oh, my, god, I feel you brother, I feel you. WE MUsT UNITE". His nose problems are the exact same as mine, down to the one nostril at a time thing.
Oh and I got this bootleg story I got to tell you about today. I had to go pee right, and it was after P.E, so I went to the stalls (there were only 2), and I saw 1 empty. I went in and attempted to lock the door, but I looked an saw how the locks were misaligned, they weren't bolted on incorrectly, so the bar would not slide in at all. So, with NY witty thinking, I took out NY pencil and slid it through the lock-hole. Pretty clever if I do say so myself.
Yeah, so that was it. I'ma end it here 'cause my ice cream is melting. Yes I'm eating it at 11:43 at night. See you tomorrow.

Week: 3
Songs to Remember: Latch - Disclosure
Oh hi, didn't see ya there. This is the Tonight Show with Drew. Tonight I'll be talking about how it's September now and how there's barely anything happening in September.
You know, it'd be pretty cool to be a talk-show host. Unless the show is pretty un-popular, in which I'd be like "Oh, what am I doing with my life". Yeah, I don't know where I'm going with this. I actually had a lot of "there's nothing to do" moments today where I just stare at my Facenovel feed and YouTube subscriptions waiting for someone to post something new or interesting to watch.
Oh my god these sneezes are killing me. Have you ever sneezed while having a sore throat? Holy f*** is it a crazy feeling, and not in a good way. My sore throat is getting better though. Probably by tomorrow it'll be gone, hopefully.
And uh, it's my best buddy's birthday today. I think he just stayed home and slept. Sooo uh, what did you do over the weekend? For me, I slept to prepare for school to start again. In order to perform your best, you gotta be fully rested. Godamn it, I forgot what I was gonna say now. Fffffffffff.
Oh my god it is so hot right now. It's crazy how California's in a drought right now considering we're right next to an ocean. You know I'm kidding right? So I just thought about how it's only been 2 weeks so far school, and a lot has happened. In my eyes, of course. But then I'm like "Woah woah woag woah woah, this ain't my vision!" (Suite life reference by the way).
Okay I think I'm done here for the day. My sinuses are killing me right now and I don't know why. Also did I mention how it's really hot right now? Anyways, see you tomorrow. Oh and uh, my dad lied to me about him and mom watching As Above. Wow. Oh and thank goodness for labor day, today was sorta relaxing.

Week: 2
Songs to Remember: Danger - Taemin
When Yue messaged me earlier on Facenovel, I was like "Ooohhh ny god". Mostly 'cause I was not expecting any Facenovel conversations tonight, and because It was from Yue.
Okay, well my parents didn't go watch " As Above, So Below". And uh, yeah. Maybe they'll go tomorrow, but tomorrow's Labor Day so like, places will be closed. Oh and uh, thank you based Labor Day. It always comes at the right time; on a Monday, and when school starts.
Because of how tired I am, I'll be making this a short post. So, just earlier, like few hours ago, I got that notification thing show up on my Facenovel tab. You know, the one that says "Blank has messaged you" or something like that. I looked and it said "Yue has messages you" and I'm just like "Ooohhh my god, I was not expecting this". So I go see what she wants and she's like " Hey Drew, this is Yue. What day is the chemistry test on?" And I'm just like "I think its on Tuesday, though I'm not too sure". I was being honest; I don't really remember what day the teacher said it was on, but I'm guessing it's Tuesday.
She was then like "Aww. Okay. What is it gonna be on?" And I'm like "I think it's gonna be on scientific notation and converting measurements". And she's just like "Do you think we need to memorize the lab equipment" ('cause like, we had the lab thing where we had to label lab equipment). So I'm like "Probably, though only the some of the basic equipment since there's so many :/" and I put the ":/" face for the sake of putting a smiley face thing and since Yue's using a lot of em'"
So then she's like "Aww. Okay. Well thanks so much Drew!" And I'm just like "No problem. See you on Tuesday! ^-^" and she's like "You too! :D". And I just thought to myself "Well, that went a bit better than I expected". I should've been like "I'll see YUE on Tuesday". Get it? Get it? 'Cause Yue is like "you"? Sorry for bringing it up.
So I have this sore throat right now and it's fairly uncomfortable. I rarely get sore throats now, used to get them a lot when I was younger. Anyways, hopefully this thing will go away and I'll be able to talk and about my current feelings toward people tomorrow without being too tired and uncomfortable. See you tomorrow I guess.
